I asked whether larger sizes were simply out of stock or not ordered at all, and was told they generally only order up to 34". The team is friendly and the prices are reasonable. I've been visiting for years and have watched the space grow. That said, the lack of size inclusivity is disappointing. If you don't care about broader size availability and fall within their range, it may be worth checking out--the shop is well curated in theory. Personally, as someone who isn't thin, I likely will not return to a store that doesn't prioritize size inclusivity.

First of all, I haven't been bra shopping in awhile. It's always a harrowing experience being a…read morethicker woman. I'm always faffing about with what I'm sure is the wrong size and finally just being frustrated but buying it because mama needs a bra. This is place is for someone serious about getting a quality piece of (dare I say it) comfortable yet supportive (and perhaps a little sexy) undergarment. Now I will preface this by saying I haven't bought an underwire bra in a long time. I always felt like those 2 pieces of metal were slowly deforming my rib cage, ala eighteen century Victorian torture corsets. This is not the kind of bra they sell here. I've never felt so comfortable in an underwire. I'm a tee shirt bra/sports bra kind of gal. But I had a dress that required something a little more supportive, yet displayed the girls to their fullest advantage. My consultant was BJ. What an absolute gem of a professional. First she took my measurements and once we ascertained my size, she helped me actually put the bra on, nipping and tucking where necessary. After that we chatted about what I was actually needing in this visit. She didn't try to sell me 8 bras, I really only needed one. But she brought me different styles, price points, and aesthetics. I bought one of the pricier pieces because of how absolutely lovely it was...delicate, supportive and with sexy elements. I think I feel more sexy when I have a risqué piece under a rather sedate ensemble. Aldo when I say privy, probably only $15 more than a bra normally costs for me ($79 vs $65 ). The service here is perfection. If I was looking for undergarments for my wedding this would be the place I'd go. They taylor the experience to your needs, which they ascertain without you being explicit, even if you don't know what you need. I bought some thigh highs that they had in my size. They carry bathing suits year round. I was buying a black bra so it was in stock but they have an online platform that carries all their styles across their different stores (BJ told be each one has a different vibe, so that's cool). I'm thrilled to have found this kind of store. They have a reasonable return policy, and a more than adequate supply of perfect pieces. Give them a shot. You are totally worth it.

She took my phone number and said the owner will call me. Another two weeks has passed, I have stopped in again and sent three email inquiries (because they don't answer the phone) to no avail. My clothes are gone, I have nothing to show them, including no idea if they were donated to a charity that could at least get them in the hands of people in need. Lindsay became my bff the second I walked in…read more So here's the sitch. Im visiting from NYC and getting a prdicure at a nail salon around the corner. Sitting next to Kat, we instantly start chatting up and talking about the neighborhood and our trip. We're in Chicago and then heading to Vegas for a festival which I still don't have an outfit for. And as luck would have it, she says she works at Felt around the corner and we should definitely head over! We head over to the magical world of Felt and meet the magical Lindsay. Lindsay was my fairy godbestie. She listened to where we were going, my style, and my body. I recently lost weight so I don't have lots of clothes or much style. Clothing shopping has always been tough for me. Lindsay pulled together pieces for me and set up a room. Cue the early 2000's movie changing room montage. Also did I mention the free champagne?! So I'm switching in and out of outfits for my partner and Lindsay to look at on the couch and big mirror which my partner and I drink champagne. I didn't even give Lindsay my sizes (because I don't even know my size anymore) and yet almost every piece fit. And every piece was a different size, medium, large, different numbers, etc. like is she a wizard?! We left the store with summer shorts, an awesome blue, strapless top that ties in the back, and a white skirt with black polka dots for funsies for work (great material, holds it's like 60s waves and is double lined so not see through) Not only did I walk out of there with clothes, but I walked out of there happy, with CONFIDENCE, and a beautiful sense sisterhood. Lindsay is such a girls girl. As a curvy woman, clothing shopping can be tough and disheartening. But if there was a Lindsay in every store, the world would be a better place. P.S. for Lindsay: Girl, the Vegas festival was CANCELLED. Can you believe it?! lol but don't worry I will still be wearing these pieces all summer! Thank you for everything!

This is definitely not my style, haha, but it was fun browsing the store.  Our daughter found a…read moreleather jacket from the Alley Chicago Store online, which was a more toned-down style.  She read comments that the jacket could look boxy, so, she wanted to try it on in the store, and to find the right size for herself.  As we were in the city that day, we stopped by the store for her to try on the jacket. The store is located in a quiet street, but you won't miss it.  I have never seen so many black leather jackets in one place!  The staff were very friendly and helpful.  All the leather jackets were locked to the individual heavy-duty hangers, and the lady helped us find the jacket that was closest in style to what Daughter wanted, and unlocked a couple of them in different sizes from the hangers. The jacket that Daughter tried on only came in purple in the store, and was not in the exact style.  It didn't look boxy and Daughter found a size that fit her nicely.  So, she decided to order the one online. The online order came; the jacket was too large (even though supposed to be in the same size) and did look boxy after all. She had to return by shipping the jacket back to their warehouse with their return label, and received the full refund. So, the return was pretty painless. Daughter ended up ordering a jacket from another company. We didn't regret going to the store, though. It was a fun experience.

I live states away and was finally in the area, and my visit was very disappointing. The selection of clothing, jewelry, patches, and shoes were amazing, however the customer service left a bad taste in the mouth. There was 5 employees in the store, 1 gentleman and 4 ladies, and the ladies were recording videos and leaving the 1 gentleman to do the customer service, answer questions, and cash customers out. We asked for help with one of the items and one of the ladies replied "oh I'm sorry, we are recording" and proceeded to grab the gentleman from the cash register to come help us instead of doing it themselves. I understand if you are busy and recording, the issue is, they weren't actively recording, and hadn't been recording for 10 minutes at that point. Furthermore, we overheard the lady employees talking amongst themselves and saying to me and my partner something along the lines of "I hope they don't steal a pair of Demonias". If you look on the alleys official TikTok page, majority of the videos are about putting customers down and making fun of questions and comments any normal customer would make in a retail setting. Either way we spent $500+ at the store, and at this point we were being helped by another gentleman while the other guy helping us took a break (the ladies still did not help us at this point). It's very upsetting morally to leave a bad review on a small business that has been around since the 70s, especially because I love the owner and his views, and he works so hard to maintain this business. I just wish the employees cared more about the image of their store.
