They were both crispy, delicious, and totally hit the spot for a warm Seattle day! The staff was super friendly. More than happy to answer questions so we could pick beers we'd enjoy. The space is open and clean. Tons of seating options, a projector, games, and lots of amazing snacks. I was SO happy to see they had Gochiso snack mixes!! These are my favorite and so hard to find. It's awesome that they are carrying a local snack brand. Can't wait to come back and bring my dog next time!

I find myself stopping off here semi-regularly. I guess it's been this brewery for nearly 4 years…read morealready, but I did make it to the previous brewery a few times too. I appreciate that they open at noon on the weekends. It's close to the freeway, but street parking in this area can be challenging, but this is walking distance from the light rail station. It's usually not too crowded and I have never had trouble finding a place to sit. They seem to always have new things on tap and its kind of fun to be so close to the brewing tanks. There are games available to play (shuffleboard too) and a big projection screen if you are hoping to watch a sport. The sun shines in thru the window at the right time of day and makes it seem like a really cheery place. One thing that is unique that stands out is the bubbly water available self serve, if this is not your thing they will get you regular tap water behind the bar. I enjoy the variety of beers from IPA, to sour, to Barrel Aged Barley Wine. Of course there is regular wine, cider and non alcoholic options too. I appreciate that when I visit it never seems too loud and I am still able to enjoy a conversation. Best of all there are multiple bathrooms.

Spicy and enough garlic to slay a village of vampires, just as mama likes! I was here twice in a week because these wings are so good! There are several beers and some ciders on tap from all around and all the ipa's I've tried here have been pretty decent. from there you grab your brew and have a seat at high top tables within the tap room. Again, the setting is mid-sized good for a couple groups of four and a few two person tables. Music is at a decent volume and is lit dimly making it decent for a date spot or just a place to have conversation without raised voices. Fridges line the tap room so you can mix and match beers, ciders and wines to take out which is cool. I like Bottleworks, I want to enjoy it more, but there are some issues holding me to 3 stars. The staff are...alright. Not bad, but I feel could be a little friendlier. Also they don't allow sample pours? This is a common thing at most breweries, but maybe it's because this is a tap room, but beers run a bit higher here - $8-9 a pour so that's annoying that you can't even try a couple. Lastly, they rotate things out it seems weekly. Some of the more popular options I suppose they keep but seems like a lot of turn around on the drinks so if you like something they have on tap, don't get too attached. Perhaps on subsequent visits It will improve, and I can boost the score here, but besides the decent beers and setting, it's just OK here.

It's smaller than I imagined it to be but every beer inside, from the draft list to the cans and the bottles are carefully curated by the staff. We grabbed a quick beer (Hill Farmstead, which is the first time I've seen this brewery for sale in the since I started this trip 6 weeks ago and Ive been through 4 states) Then we shopped for some cans, we quickly had to refrain from buying too much as the refrigerator in our van only holds so much. We ended up with a six pack and then grabbed a mystery 4 pack on the way out (mystery 4 pack was stellar). While we're shopping they opened a sour from Jester King and shared it with us. I honestly wish I lived a bit closer (Las Vegas is kinda far) because I'd be here everyday... Honestly, they have a whole cooler just for barley wine! The staff are very knowledgeable about beer and are very hospitable. Thanks for a great experience!

The venue was large and delivered the view of the lake on a platter (but that is Seattle). The vibe was lively -- loud blasting music and a ton of people. But...not worth the excessive 45 minute wait after being in line for 15 min. We ordered right after our friends and while I sampled 2 tastes of beer, that took all of 2 min Our almost identical order to theirs came out 20-30 min after theirs. We went up 3 times to check where it was, because the first time (at least 20 min after our friends got their order) the guy told us it was 2 tickets away. More like 20 tickets since we watched order after order being delivered elsewhere... not ours. My husband went up for the second time and never got an answer. And so I went up a third time and was livid as another half dozen+++ orders went by. The frustrating thing is we paid up front and left a 20% tip on the worst food service ever. We have learned our lesson and won't do that again. Recognize it's not just the server it's the entire service...from what happened to our ticket, our food prep and delivery to our table? I doubt I'll make the effort to go back. Because I can pay the same $59 (2 single patty burgers, 2 beers, 1 fries, 1 onion rings) for similar or better food, fantastic views with much better service. Also, they knew but did nothing to make our experience better.

It's been a while since I was at Human People Beer and I am just getting around to writing a review…read morefor it now. There isn't any good reason for it other than back log of reviews and I like to mix up my outings a bit and so the order I post reviews isn't always strictly chronological. Steve's and my experience with Human People Beer has been great! We have had their beer a few different times and we were always very highly impressed and I rated the ones I have had very highly on Untappd. Human People Beer also has a cafe where they serve food. I haven't had a significantly large meal here but the snack I had was fantastic. I will cover the beers first before proceeding to the food as I am a total beer nerd. One beer we had and loved was Neighbors. This is a Kolsch style beer and a great one! I found it very refreshing a great one to drink! Things to detect and have fun with in the flavor profile are maltiness, citrus, a great crispness and a clean finish. The mouthfeel with this one is very nice. Easily a favorite! The next beer I had was the Magick. This was a Hazy Pale Ale. I liked this one too. Perhaps not one I would classify as a favorite but a good one all the same. In the flavor look for elements of grapefruit, hoppiness, citrus and other fruitiness. It's an easy drinking beer where you could easily have more than one. Another beer that became an instant favorite for me was the Heavy Connection. This beer is a Brown Ale. I do enjoy getting this beer typed from time to time and this one proved to be a great return in having this beer again! With this beer look for flavors of coffee, maltiness, hazelnut and a breadiness. This beer is on the richer side but it is so, so good! The other beer that we have had... also a favorite( I am easily going to have lots of favorites here) was the Piknik Pilsner. I do love pilsners and it's so, so great having a really well made one. And this one definitely excels at being a good one! In the flavor profile it is roasty, bitter and crisp. The beer is aromatic and smooth. Another good one! And now onto the food. As I said I only had one item off of the food menu and feel like it was more on the snacky end of things but it was so, so good which really pushes my star rating hard in five star territory. I had Tahini Toast. It's something you don't see often and I haven't had it often but on occasions that I did I really liked it! With Human People you and this particular toast you get tahini, peanut butter, wildflower honey along with fresh fruit. It was so good that I fell in love with it madly! I feel like Human People Beer puts out a strong quality product in their food and drink and I look forward to more dining and drinking excursions with them!

Tasted like a churro but not overly sweet which I appreciated. The location itself is so pretty and peaceful. We went on a Sunday around 11 and were able to grab a seat. We loved and will be back!

The inside of the actual shop is like a 4x4 (not literally but close enough), so ultimately I think it would be a cute spot to sit and catch up with a friend if you can find seating and don't mind being in close quarters with everyone else. There's plenty of beach chairs outside and it's right on lake union, so I think my ideal situation would be a coffee to go and then walking around the lake. The baristas were cool. TBH, they did make me the wrong drink (I ordered a cappuccino, they made me a latte) and it wasn't that big of a deal but I do want to go back and actually try their cappuccino. I should check to see which beans they use.. Parking: very limited street parking in the surrounding neighborhood

Originally opened in 1934, the Blue Moon carries the kind of atmosphere you cannot recreate -- walls covered in decades of music, art, stickers, photographs, and stories. A dimly lit room packed with musicians, writers, artists, and people who genuinely appreciate creativity in its raw form. Throughout the night, the stage moved between live music, poetry, and performances from local artists while the crowd filled the tavern from the bar to the stage floor. Places like this remind me why independent art still matters. As an author traveling all over the United States -- and as someone who lived in the Seattle area for 2 1/2 years -- standing on that stage reading poetry from Purple Rose in a venue with this much history behind it was really something special. What I loved most was how welcoming the environment was. This is a very LGBTQ-friendly, art-friendly space where people genuinely support one another. If you are brand new to open mics or nervous about sharing your work for the first time, this is the kind of place where you will absolutely be shown kindness and encouragement. There were so many talented musicians, poets, and performers there, and you could really feel the appreciation for creativity throughout the room. The setup of the tavern itself is awesome. The stage and seating area wrap around the bar in almost a U-shape, so you can really choose your own vibe for the night. If you want to stay close to the performances and music, there is a dance floor and table area near the stage. If you want something more relaxed, you can hang back near the bar, have a drink, and still enjoy the atmosphere without being directly in the middle of everything. They also have a full bar, arcade games, board games, books to read, and even a small library on the shelves throughout the tavern. Somewhere inside, you may even find a signed copy of Purple Rose that I left hidden and dedicated to the historic Blue Moon itself. Beautiful evening with wonderful people. If you are ever in the area and have a skill you would love to share, go share your art. Find your copy of Purple Rose at JamesVThePoet.com

The staff seemed distracted, but they at least did not appear to be cranky or hostile. The karaoke selection was lacking, and as a queer man I was uncomfortable seeing that all David Bowie songs were pointedly crossed out in the books. Reviews had suggested that the Monkey Pub, despite being located in the U District, had a clientele of more than just college students; this may be true on non-karaoke nights, but when I went, it had the same college-kid crowd as anywhere else in the neighborhood. Drink selection was average. Indeed, the bar itself was largely average. I found no evidence of anything particularly dramatically terrible on my visit to the Monkey Pub, but nothing to get excited about either. Only worth it for karaoke if you're desperate. Probably an okay place to get a drink, but I didn't really detect much of the character and "local flavor" that usually makes a good dive bar worth the trip.
