This adventure to our first trip to Zaxby's comes courtesy of after my lymphedema therapy session and a trip to Dick's House of Sport to pick up a yoga ball for using at home. Since we were over by Dick's House of Sport, we took a look at the restaurants in the immediate area and decided, we had never been to Zaxby's so we would give it a try( since we don't get fried food that often, it was a treat for us, being up in Tulsa). Michael got the #8 meal which was Great 8 boneless wings with no sauce, a side of bbq sauce, fries and for dessert 3 chocolate chip cookies(they had a choice of 1 or 3, so he got 3) plus sweet tea to drink. My dinner was their surf & turf(which is shrimp-southern fried and chicken fingers) with zax sauce, zaxtail sauce, fries and coke zero to drink.My dessert was cheesecake bites with strawberry sauce( yummy for a cheat food). We tried Zaxbys for the first time ever and NEVER again. All of us were unhappy with what we were given for almost $80 worth of food! We were given cold, dried out chicken tossed in sauce. None of our orders of fries had season, rubbery and unreasonable cold and they even tossed burned shrimp in sauce. We're now currently heated that the food was so bad we either wouldn't and/or couldn't eat it and have to find something else to eat. I stopped here for a quick late dinner while at a dance competition at the Union HS PAC, so Zaxby's is right across the street. I pulled through the drive-thru at 9:35 and they close at 10, so I didn't have high expectations, especially because they have likely been super busy all day due to 2 different competitions at Union this weekend. I was pleasantly surprised that I got my order quick, and it was hot and fresh. I got lots of sauces and napkins too without asking. This was my very first time visiting a Zaxby's on the recommendation of a friend. The lady taking my order was incredibly friendly. She helped me choose a great meal and I was glad for her assistance. I thought the chicken fingers were kind of on the small side, but the taste was incredible, and probably the juiciest chicken I've ever had. The loaded fries are out of this world. Ordered the Zensation (Asian) salad and a Cobb salad. The Zensation salad is one of my favorites, I wish they would have it year around! The Zensation doesn't need any dressing, it also comes with an egg roll. The Cobb was good also, nothing spectacular. read more

Stopped in on a Sunday for lunch, this was our first visit here. The inside was very clean and smelled nice, the bathrooms were also clean. I liked the decor it was cute and trendy, a lot to look at while you're waiting or eating. The people working there were very kind and helpful. It didn't take long for our order to come out. I got a free coupon for a Kickin' chicken sandwich from the Drillers game so when i was out south to run errands i stopped in on Saturday afternoon. The lady who helped me was pleasant and told me what sauces came on it (buffalo and ranch) to see if that was okay. I got mine with just ranch. The sandwich was messy but definitely better than i thought it would be. The fried chicken was crunchy and juicy and the bread was super buttery and delicious. The only think that would keep me from coming back here (at least for that sandwich) is the price. The sandwich alone would have cost almost 7 bucks without sides or a drink. Very disappointing on my last (actual LAST) visit. I used to think Zaxby's was a rising star, about to take the chicken game for all of Tulsa. Now it's clear that the company is indeed a sinking ship. Here's the problem: consistency. Not only is nothing cooked the same, but everything is lukewarm and mushy. The fries used to be excellent, but now they're shriveled little messes (and there's mysteriously no seasoning... there used to be seasoning of like paprika). But worst of all, the staff seems SO unhappy all of the time. I feel bad to complain about this place, but it reminds me of all of the enthusiasm you see from a Wal-Mart worker who's put in all they can, only to be underpaid and undervalued. I like Zaxby's to be fair. Ever other location I've been to every thing is always great. This location must be poorly managed. We were the ONLY people in there at noon. EVERY table was filthy. We had to clean a table just to be able to sit. It took 20 minutes to get our food. ( 3 orders) and the fries and chicken were cold. The toast seemed like they made it yesterday, and the sauce packs were all sticky with who knows what. I could see into the kitchen the entire time. Had the privilege to watch 2 young employees play grab ass instead of working orders. Mean while the gal upfront was tending to her cell phone. Which I'm sure was important news. Only reason they got 2 stars was the Cobb salad was good. Everything was supposed to be cold in there. Won't return to this location ever. This makes the second time with similar results. A break from a regular chicken establishment. The interior is clean and homier, with various old fashioned styled signage. Food is best described as a combo of Cains and Wing Stop. But they also offer some pretty decent looking salads. I opted for the Wings and Things combo that came with 6 buffalo wings and 4 tenders. I order my wings medium and should've have gone up a step or two in heat, because these were just weak in terms of spice. Flavor was good though. The tenders were good too, but the addition of Zaxby sauce made them better. My combo came with a carb load side including fries and toast. Plenty to eat for the price, however, they don't tell you that this combo doesn't come with a drink. I ordered the 4 chicken finger plate and ask for them in the original sauce. I get this 9/10 times I go to a zaxby's. I'm not from Tulsa so I decided to go to this location for the first time. They didn't toss my fingers in the sauce like usual they had it on the side. So I slathered it all over my chicken when I got home. Come to find out it is way spicier/hotter than the original sauce I'm used to and they didn't even ask me if I wanted ranch or anything so I'm over here dying like I kissed Satan's asshole. First time here. It's just like Raising Cains but the food is actually good here but maybe a bit pricier. Not Chick Fil A good, but good. A fairly basic menu that meets expectations for a chicken finger concept. Like I said I think this place is practically the same thing as Cains but better. Time will tell if all these chicken specialty fast food chains will survive with all the competition (except for Chickfila, they aren't going anywhere). Grew up with Zax in Atlanta (and have been on visits to the Southeast area since), and the chicken is consistently good quality unlike some chewy bits I have encountered at Canes. Tip for those looking for a quick cheaper meal with side: The Zax snack is actually three tenders, fries, and a drink. Cost is $6, less than the meal w/o drink. Menu setup is a bit odd on this one. I had heard about this chicken from friends, so decided to try it. Much better strips than Cain's. Crispy, tender strips. Fries were hot, we got the appetizer fried spicy mushrooms which were hot and crispy. However, the price and value do not match the food. Nearly $6 for just a sandwich. No drink or sides. I don't feel the food was good enough to warrant that price for sandwich only. I ended up having to spend more money an hour later because I was still hungry. I don't have a lot of money to throw around eating out. So this was kind of a Saturday special thing.
