Decent enough. Well priced if you *want* fast food wings. I am a chicken wing guy. I like buffalo. So when I heard Zaxby's had decent chicken, I went and got 10 wings. Nothing crazy. Sauce was very good and the size of the wings were actually very respectable. Best part? The price. Value, price, flavor, and the nature of the restaurant all line up well. I did not encounter any unexpected pros or cons of these wings, but that's okay. It was exactly what I expected and what I wanted from a place like Zaxby's. If I had to describe the wings, think of wings from a pizza shop. Usually, they're tiny, overly wet, and just spice and no flavor. Zaxby's wings are much larger, still to an extent a little too wet, but well spiced and well flavored. I prefer crispy wings, but Zaxby's weren't so soggy/wet that I didn't enjoy them. Basic review. The place was clean and open. Good seating. The menu is a bit overwhelming but literally just chicken and salads. We each ordered the 3 or 4 piece and it came with two sides of French fries since we opted out of coke slaw and bread. It's so much food we could have shared and still had extra food left over. It's a bit pricey but again you get a ton of food so then again reasonable. They have the freestyle coke machines which is a plus. Overall pretty good. Overall, the food was decent, but my experience was ruined by the rude drive through employee. It was my first time there and I asked for a second to view the menu. I was ignored by the employee who seemed to have an attitude. Also, when I asked for ranch I had the slide door shut in my face, so I had to ask another employee. Ordered the chicken nibbler meal. 9 bucks isn't bad for this meal. Especially when I love the food. Pickle chips are my favorite. Well I picked up my order thru drive thru. The manager was at the window took my payment. I went about my drive after getting my food. Parked near by to eat due to I was on lunch from working. And to my surprise when I open my box of what I thought was delicious smelling food. At first glance it's normal, I take a bite of fries. And I grab extra sauce and open the top bun of the first sandwich as soon as I took the bun off I see a hint of sliver siny stand. My thinks this must be sauce. I look closer and a couple of sliver grey hairs were in bided in the chicken and sauce. I close the box and head back to the store. I park go inside. Wait patiently as they finish up at the window and come to me. I ask the first you f lady cashier if I may speak to the manager. A young man approaches. And asks what's seems to be the problem. I explain in detail and show the food. He ask would I like him to remake it. I declined. He remade some fries and didn't even offer a refund. So inherently I payed 9 dollars for a small fries and a small sweet tea. Great now I have to waste more money to eat else where. Appreciate it. read more

You'd think that since business is slow there would be extra care and attention to orders. My husband and I both got chicken fingers and fries. I asked for my fries well done and both of our fries were soggy and barely warm. Chicken fingers were the same. It's obvious the food is not being freshly made. Zaxby's used to be one of my favorite places to eat. I prefer their chicken to Raising Canes, and love getting the fried chicken salads. A little over a month ago we visited this location and my husband and I both got salads. A few bites into my meal, I saw a live moth or cricket crawling around deep inside the salad. It didn't just fly into it, it was there from the kitchen. I freaked out a bit. The young lady behind the register came around to see what the problem was and we showed her. She apologized and we asked for a refund which took what seemed like forever. We also asked that the store manager call us about this incident but we still have not received any communication from the store's management. I really hate that this experience has soured me on this franchise because I used to really like it but I can't see going back here ever again. read more

Staff is always friendly, food is always hot and fresh, the Freestyle machine is well maintained and the restaurant is always clean. Zaxby's reminds me of a sibling of Raising Cane's! The similarities are scary and I wonder if they have the same owners?! (Probably not) What Zaxby's has over Raising Canes is VARIETY. Here you have more options like ordering salads and wings and pouring yourself a slew of different drinks from the Coca-cola machine. The Zaxby's sauce is almost identical to Raising Canes sauce but not as good. Also, their ranch dip is watery. Their chicken fingers are good but not as big and juicy as Raising Canes. The wings were decent and you do have a number of choices when it comes to sauces. I wasn't a fan of that light seasoning they put on their fries. The Texas toast was much better here, as it was actually toasted and not cold and soggy like Raising Canes usually is. (Sorry to compare the two establishments so much but they really are almost identical!). Overall it was cool and I'd go back but somehow I miss Raising Canes a bit more. read more

I moved from Brambleton, VA to Pflugerville and never have tried Zaxby's Chicken before. I know, I know.. So, this week I took my whole family to a new brand new Zaxby's location in Pflugerville to grab a lunch. The restaurant was fresh, clean, organized. Kaityn at the register was super nice and recommended to try Wings & Things, my wife ordered Cobb salad, my daugters ordered chicken fingers andmy son got kidz chichen nuggets. Everybody absolutely loved their meals! Sweet tea is soo good! I also had a pleasure to meet owners Sarge & Leslie, they are the nicest people I have ever met. So glad we have them in our community. Horrible customer service. You ask for unsweetened tea just to get down the road to find out not only do you not a fork for your salad you were given sweet tea. I genuinely enjoy getting Zaxby's from time to time. I will happily say it is my all time favorite chicken place. My most recent visit I tried their new Southern TLC sandwich and I was not disappointed! I got it with everything on it, and it was lovely. I think most of our problems were due to the newness and this place does have a lot of potential. Anyway, my wife and son's food came out hot and fresh. Mine on the other hand, was super cold. I am guessing they cooked my boneless wings first and then they sat around while the other food was cooked. Another silly thing: I had to get two 5 piece meals in order to get two different flavors. They said when you order 10 they all go into the same fryer basket. What? I am sure my two orders of five all went in the same basket and was dressed afterward. It's just a money issue.
