I recently stumbled upon this place and WOW! The shawarma is phenomenal. Soraya served us and was very nice and welcoming! I wanted to try both the beef and chicken shawarma so I got a chicken shawarma wrap and beef shawarma side with rice. The chicken tasted very authentic and so did the beef with all of its beautiful spices. I really recommend this place! Also try the pita and hummus they are 5 stars for sure. read more

I had the chicken shawarma wrap, and it was delicious. The shawarma had great flavor, and everything tasted fresh. The person taking my order was really friendly and offered some helpful recommendations, which I appreciated. I also picked up a piece of baklava, and it was really tasty and packed with pistachios. It's a nice little spot with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out! read more

What a cute place for some good middle Eastern food. Came here for lunch and loved the flavors so much, I'm planning to be back. Had the plate with kafta and rice, side of hummus and for dessert baklava - delicious!!! Looks like a family restaurant, then again, you get attention as if you're in your family's house. The food is definitely delicious. They do have so many choices to try and pair up. I'll try the shawarma next time. read more

Pita Shack - Mediterranean Near Me - Pflugerville, Texas

We had ordered to go orders several time from Pita Shack. Pita Shack is our favorite Mediterranean restaurant! All of their dishes are so good! Our favorite is the beef shawarma plate. Or comes with rice, humus, and a small salad. The Greek salad is a must try! It's super fresh and delicious! Pita bread is separated and extra cost but it's so good with the beef shawarma, rice, & humus! We tried the gyro, lamb kabobs, chicken shawarma, beef shawarma and our favorite is the beef. All of the other meats are good too, we just prefer the beef shawarma. Meats and rice is perfectly seasoned and well balanced with the freshness of the salad! I love the falafel here! It's seriously the best I had. It's seasoned well and crispy on the outside but soft in the inside. This place is our go to for Mediterranean food! Do I recommend this place? Yes! A must try and seriously is a hidden gym! We drive 38 mins to just go eat here. Healthy. Delicious. Fresh food. read more

My wife and I came to Pita Shack for the first time on a Saturday afternoon, around 2 PM. The restaurant was not busy at this time--we walked in with no line in front of us. You place your order at the counter and then have a seat. The front of the restaurant itself isn't very large--there's about 6-8 tables maybe, probably not a great spot for groups larger than 8 people on a busy day. The woman behind the counter was very nice and polite. She took our order without any issues. The food didn't take long to come out either! I ordered the "Beef Shawarma Pita-Wrap" and an 8oz Hummus. The wrap wasn't amazing, but it was good! The pita came out so soft and warm and the meat was tender and flavorful. You can't tell from my picture, but it felt like there was a little too much lettuce in the wrap--I felt like it chilled my wrap quickly, and taking big bites full of lettuce wasn't super appetizing for me. The hummus was good--8 oz is a good amount, we just wish it came with more pita. We were given 4 pieces. Overall a fine experience--we felt like we paid a lot for what we actually got. We might come back if we're in the area, and will try some different menu options. read more

Food was OK. They really piled on the meat which was tasty. I expected more of a greek tzatziki sauce but that is my fault for not reading the menu better. Service was great and ambiance was good for a fast food place. read more

I went for lunch with friends. The staff refused to serve tap water and said they only have bottled water for sale. This is an unacceptable practice and I will not be returning. read more

Must try !!! I should have not slept on this place before . Everything I tried was packed with flavor and super reasonably priced. I got the beef shawarma plate, chicken shawarma Arabi, falafel, and their creamy, smoky baba ganoush (which I could eat by the spoonful). Oh and don't sleep on the pizza. Totally unexpected but absolutely worth it. The staff was so friendly and as it was Ramadan made sure the food was ready during Iftar time . I'd take this spot over the usual Mediterranean chains like Halal Guys or Halal Bros any day. The variety and quality here just hit different. Safe to say this is going into my regular rotation! read more

Pita Shack - Beef/chicken shawarma plate Chicken shawarma / fries - Mediterranean Near Me - Pflugerville, Texas

Came here last night for dinner with my boyfriend and I got the beef shawarma arabi. My boyfriend had the side dish portion of chicken shawarma and rice and we got an 8oz container of hummus to share. We would have gotten the smaller size of hummus but apparently it does not come with any pita. My beef shawarma arabi was very good. The beef was very juicy and the wrap was perfect. I also loved the garlic sauce that it came with! The fries were maybe slightly undercooked and I wish they were seasoned a little more evenly. The chicken shawarma and rice was fine but it wasn't very flavorful and it did not come with any sauce so it was kinda dry. Lastly, the hummus. I hate leaving a harsh review but the hummus was genuinely bad. It had zero flavor and the texture was not very smooth. It tasted like they had just blended chickpeas and left it at that. The service was also a little slow but that didn't bother us at all. Overall, I wouldn't say this place is bad but I would only recommend the beef arabi. read more

What a great place for a quick/ late night bite in pflugerville! We went into this location and ordered the falafel pita and the falafel plate. Both were great! The falafel was delicious and little dense but very flavorful! The hummus was so good , creamy and perfectly blended with seasonings! I really enjoyed the rice as well! The purpled pickled things on my plate were delicious I'm not sure what they were but I'd probably get extra next time. My pita bread was a little hard but wasn't too bad when I reheated it in the toaster oven. The white sauce was out of this world , lots of flavor im glad I got some on the side as the amount on the plate wasn't near enough Good size serving. The establishment is a bit small and you can tell it has been there for a while with no upgrades. The counter/table tops were sticky- not dirty stick but maybe the paint or something. Not sure We actually ordered our food for dine in but they bagged it up and gave it to us to go which after sitting and feeling the sticky table I was glad they packed it to go. Again it wasn't dirty but just naturally sticky for whatever reason. 10/10 recommend for a to go order any time!! read more

Food was great! Quick service, good vibes, and great portion sizes. If you're willing to pay a bit, I highly recommend it! Also gave us free bottles of water! read more

Hidden in a plaza in Pflugerville, Pita Shack is a small family business that knows how to prepare some tender and well seasoned chicken! I'm a sucker for a good chicken wrap so of course I went with that. Again, fabulous seasoning! The pita itself was a good size and the chicken was definitely the star of the show, but I think it could've had more diverse fixings in it, it was just the chicken some lettuce and pickles and tomatoes. Felt pretty simple to me. I had ordered some side of hot sauce and it was like a Cholula/Tabasco sauce which I didn't think paired well. It's okay though, again the chicken is great! The space is tiny, so probably not great for large groups. They only serve bottled water too, so heads up there! The service was excellent, the lady who assisted us was very kind and helpful with the questions we had about the menu. I'd probably give it another shot if I'm in the area! read more

This is the place to go! The other pita place in the shopping center by Target is garbage. They charge you a lot to fill the pita with vegetables and the sauces there suck too. Spend your money here not there. Good food! Service is friendlier at this location too! read more

Somebody previously complained about receiving barely two slices of pepperoni per pizza slice. Well, we ended up with four... on the ENTIRE pie. I challenge anyone to surpass that! As I said in my last review, this place is off my radar. However, a relative wanted to try the pizza here so we ordered pickup. It has become unmistakably clear that this is a subpar establishment with ridiculous prices. I genuinely hate this place. read more

We got the chicken plate and a lamb-Iraqi wrap. The wrap was delicious! The chicken plate was a little dry, it comes with a small side of tzatziki sauce on the side (definitely not enough). Regardless, it was a good meal. We ordered online for pickup. Staff was friendly on pickup. read more

Amazing food and service! The falafel was homemade and fantastic. My friends got the chicken shawarma - all around delish. 10/10 would go again read more

I am back for another review but you can see I only come here maybe once a year but that could change after an amazing experience with the pizza. It's not your traditional American pizza, the crust is hand made, it has that fluffy pillowy crust, the sauce is sweet yet a good tomato flavor, the cheese is hands down amazing. It's a nice change of pace vs the chain brands. Yes it's more expensive than a chain but it's nice to try something new. Overall strong cheesy taste, I couldn't get a strong taste of the gyro meat pizza, the toppings are a little scarce, I mean you see the pepperoni? It needs more pepperoni to have a more pepperoni taste, count it, 13 slices, it needs more like 20. An extra 7 more and it would be a grand slam, come on Pita!! Add more. The theme is the same with the gyro, add more gyro meat. I'm paying more than $15, it needs more toppings. Now, look at that 5 topping pizza, all the fresh vegetables, olives, meat, that is 100% what I would ask for, add toppings, make the customer more happier, wow us on the toppings. Overall I'll come again but I'll ask for more toppings. read more

We went to Pita Shack for lunch and ordered multiple items for our office staff. My lamb gyro was amazing. The lamb is tender and they put a healthy amount on the gyro wrap. It went so well with the salad and the Tzatziki sauce on top. The dolma was so good and so were the baba ganoush, the hummus and the lamb gyro bowls. The chicken shawarma and falafel were a perfect combination. The falafel was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside with the perfect amount of spices and flavor. Fatima helped us order when she found out it was our first time there and she was so friendly. We will definitely be going back often for this wonderfully tasteful halal food and the exceptional customer service. read more

Quiet clean place. Went there for lunch, got a generous amount of food for the money spent. Very flavorful. Highly recommend the kabab!!! read more

First time visiting this business. I ordered lamb over rice, which is their Kabab platter. Since I didn't know how much meat would be included, the associate went to the back and grabbed a piece of meet with gloves on and then placed it back. Up until that point I was sort of okay with that. But then after my transaction was processed with the same gloves, the associate processed another cash transaction and dealt with the money using the same gloves with which he held the piece of meat he showed me. Then again, with the same gloves, the associate went back to pour my rice in the plate. I kindly asked for my money back, and they were kind and respectful about it and reimbursed me in cash, even though I paid with a card. Card would've taken up to 10 days to reimburse. I appreciate how cooperative the business manager was with me. They even offered to make me a new plate. But I could not do it. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be returning here. I hope they make serious changes to their sanitary practices, otherwise this exposes people to unnecessary health risks. read more

Very friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant seemed really busy with takeout orders but it also has plenty of seating for diners. I had the beef shawarma plate and baklava. The plates come with a salad along with a side of pita and hummus. My food was delicious. One thing I didn't like is that there were several chunks of fat in my food. The beef was very flavorful. I tasted the chicken shawarma plate that someone at my table ordered. The chicken shawarma was delicious. Next time, I'd get a combo plate with beef and chicken shawarma. The baklava was also pretty good. Overall, this is a solid food spot and I'll be back. read more

Great local spot for Mediterranean and my go to spot in Pflugerville. It's not one many sit down but they are quick for pickup orders as mine felt like it was fast food quick but it was delicious with fresh veggies. The owners are friendly and engaging and the place is clean. The menu is varied and in a geographic location where it's hard to come across authentic gyros and shawarmas, it's like water to a thirsty man in the desert. Really good food, love the meats especially. Fatima was the server and she did a great job explaining the different options.

The food was good. It's pretty standard Mediterranean food. Although I don't think the ambiance was there at the restaurant itself. Found the service rude since the staff commented on my ethnicity and stared/hovered while I was ordering. The questions about myself felt awkward and honestly bothered me afterwards. I wouldn't feel comfortable coming back here any time soon. read more

We used to frequent this restaurant, but after this experience we won't be going back. The portion sizes for the price is ridiculously small. I wish I would have taken a picture of the beef salad my partner ordered. It was in the smallest container ever. And the large side of hummus only came with 1 pita bread. We had tons of hummus left over after we ate the bread. We will be looking for another restaurant when we are craving Mediterranean food. read more

We were just exiting the airport and driving around looking for food. Along the road, we found this place. The food is really good!
