Hands down the best hummus and tabouli in all of Austin. Everything else is really good too but no one comes close to their hummus and tabouli. And the owners are the sweetest couple ever. read more

Everything we tried was delicious. Falafel, kebabs, hummus, and more. Nicest owner ever and the prices are in line with the market. Highly recommend it to anyone interested in good Lebanese cuisine. read more

Imo a restaurant only gets 5 stars if they do something better than anyone else out there, and Hummus Cuisine deserves that distinction. These were easily the best falafel I've ever had. Honestly, other falafel are pretty much ruined for me. So light, so crispy on the exterior, so soft and flavorful on the inside. You SHOULD drive 30 minutes for these falafel. The owners of the truck (at least I assume they were the owners who served us) were so nice, too! You could tell they had a lot of passion for what they do, everything homemade, and the falafel weren't fried until ordered. The location itself is very "Austin", the grassy/gravely side of a parking lot. It was incredibly windy the day we went, so we actually took the food to Lustre Pearl's south location to eat, which probably gives better "vibes", but there are a handful of picnic tables next to Hummus Cuisine, so you can eat there if you like. The food was still just as tasty 10 minutes later though read more

This place may not look like much on the outside, but I've been here many times and every time the food particularly the gyro sandwich and the falafel plate have always been outstanding. Honestly, probably the best falafel I've ever had. If you're in the area, you should certainly check this place out. read more

Love this Mom and Pop good truck. Scratch made baklava and the best falafel wrap in Austin.

Gyro sandwich was delicious! Tastes fresh, not greasy, with great flavor! Owner is very nice! Will be back!

I had a craving for gyros and found this food truck. They have good food but not enough of it, especially for what we paid. Prices have gotten pretty steep for barely any food nowadays. When I would order gyro wraps/sandwiches in Chicago you would get a pita stuffed with meat falling out plus fries and a drink and wouldn't pay over $10. If I were to have gotten some fries and a drink with it then it would have been better but all you get is a skinny long wrap and thats it. The service was great, the food tasted good and the lady was nice greeting us with a smile but not worth going back and paying that amount for just that. read more

This is a great food truck in South Austin. The owners are friendly and will make recommendations, substitute items, and throw in extra tasty pickles if you ask. Their falafel are amazing - the best I've ever had. Their pita is authentic, not the thick stuff you get at HEB. I've loved everything I've ordered from them. read more

Best falafel I've ever had! And the customer service is unparalleled. Def one of our favorite local spots! You will not be disappointed!

I stopped by Hummus Cuisine this afternoon and it exceeded my expectations! The staff was very friendly and took my order to my car which was generous of them! The food was AMAZING!!!! Delicious!! The owners are from Lebanon and they make their food with love and care - you can taste it. The falafels are our favorite and the gyro platter is so good. We always feel great after going there - one of my favorites in Austin. read more

Ideal spot to check out for lunch if you're craving kebab! The wraps are massive and stuffed with perfection. But don't let the size fool you, even after scarfing down the entire wrap (which I didn't think would be possible) I still felt light. They truly must use good quality ingredients and oil for cooking to keep you feeling this way. I cannot leave without mentioning the lovely service it was accompanied with. They have an array of picnic tables to enjoy your meal in the sunshine. And next time I'm not leaving without trying the cookies read more

It's hard to put into words how great this was. My husband and I ordered takeout from here on a Wednesday evening and both ordered the Shawarma plate. It's the best we've had in Austin. The meat was delicious, and was well balanced with the tahini, tabbouleh and hummus. And they give you a ton of pita to go with your plate. We will definitely be returning, especially to try the Lebanese cookies. The owner is from Lebanon. It doesn't get more authentic than this! read more

The falafel plate was delicious and flavorful in every way! The owner of the establishment is a very kind man, and I believe that it was his wife who served me my meal. The ambiance was calm, but there are benches in the area where you can sit and eat. Clean and well maintained! read more

Tried this spot the other night & was supremely pleased. Food trailer park on South Manchaca. Came right before closing & was greeted with all smiles. Ordered the gyro & falafel plates, was served within 10 min & took 'em home. Great plating esp. for a take out, delicious flavors throughout (the tabbouleh was outstanding), everything fresh. I have found my new hummus & gyro spot. Tino's has nothing on these lively folks. read more

Went here last night and was charged 12% for using my credit card. They added $1 to each plate ($12.50 each instead of $11.50 which is an 8.7% upcharge) and on top of that they added a 3% service fee ($.75), so the total was $25.75 instead of the listed price of $23.00 ($25.75/ $23.00 = 12%). They should have mentioned the fees when I placed the order, not when the food was ready and bill presented. When I complained after-the-fact and the woman said "it's not our fault". Their food was very good, however. read more

Fresh ambiance. Friendly demeanor. Delicious Gyros. Welcoming faces! Definitely a place to bring your friends for a tasty lunch or dinner!

I. Love. This. Place. I catch myself dreaming about their tabbouleh at times. It is so good! I always get an extra order to go with my plate. Beyond that, I've had almost all the things on their menu and it's all rock solid. Their felafel is some of the best textured I have ever had. I just had their kibbeh for the first time and it was awesome. I really appreciate how everything on the plate comes together when you wrap the meat, hummus, tahini sauce, lettuce, pickle, and tabbouleh all in pita bread and then take the most heavenly bite. Whatever, I'll shut up. I just really love this place. The owners are always there working and they're so friendly and personable. I feel like when you eat their food they're inviting you into their home and cooking you the same food they would make for their friends and family. Peace and love to Hummus Cuisine!!!!! read more

I highly recommend Hummus Cuisine! We moved to Austin from Detroit five years ago. Detroit has a vast population of middle eastern folks and a plethora of great Lebanese restaurants. Hummus Cuisine - Love, love, love this truck! The owners are always Friendly and happy. The food is always great! I would go more often if I could. - Food Trucks Near Me - Austin, Texas

The owners of Hummus Cuisine are a wonderful couple who came from Lebanon many years ago. They brought with them their favorite recipes and thrive on sharing with customers the best of their culinary culture. Their signature dish is flat out delicious and may spoil you for any other hummus preparation. As with all their dishes, it is meticulously proportioned to deliver the right flavor and textures that make your mouth think, "magic!" My favorite was the tabouli, which also benefits from careful preparation to allow you to enjoy the ingredients as a harmony instead of a battle. Not too much lemon or onion - just right. Be sure and reward yourself with walnut or date cookies (or both!) for a special surprise bouquet of flavors. read more

I returned again and sat for quite a spell enjoying the calm and quiet on a beautiful day. The owner, one of the kindest people I have met, was just opening up the business for the day. I ordered some kebab and he suggested preparing it slightly different than I originally planned. This is where it gets interesting. In Lebanon and throughout the Mid-East, balance is everything with food. The method the meat is cooked can have a direct impact on the amount of meat that is used, as well as condiments as I learned from grandmothers and workers in those areas. Any type of bread adds a dimension as does anything else. This, in my humble opinion, is why often people are sometimes put off by Lebanese or Middle-Eastern food, as piles upon piles, to have a large looking quantity, rather than focusing upon the individual bite, is more of an Americanized style. You will notice this when you eat and eat and eat and still are not satisfied. A smaller, more balanced serving of this style of food is essential to really just stop, and chew each bite many more times to enjoy the flavor. I am quite keen on this little place. My suggestion is to not decide what you want, until you go up to the window and chat with the owner about flavors that interest you in food and let him build from there. There is a lot more pickling in the Lebanese style, just as an example. I also got the opportunity to meet the owner's charming wife, who was bringing in some items made AT HOME rather than from a food distributor corporation's 18 wheeler. A Lebanese meal can last all day, and on special occasions for all weekend, so slow enjoyment is the key. Don't rush and don't wolf down your food. You will not be sorry. read more

More like a Greek panini than a gyros. The service was friendly but I wish there were more meat on the sandwich. I got the gyro and it was perfectly spiced and tangy - absolutely delicious! Highly recommend!

So, I must say I am quite disappointed and will not be a return customer. In fact, I would recommend Arby's for gyros and Sabra for hummus. Better price, better taste, just better. Ordered the gyro kebab pita, the gyro plate, and the hummus and pita. The gyro meat itself was quite tasty. However both the hummus and the sauce were quite sour, and not in a good way. The sour sauce in the kebabs permeated the kebabs and ruined the meat flavor. The plates were OK, but again, too much sour sauce and sour hummus. The pita seemed to be halfed, so flat like a tortilla. The meal just wasn't enjoyable. On top of that, the portions were really small for the price. read more
