Combo plate

Stumbled upon this place thanks to Yelp and craving some Mediterranean food and this hit the spot! This food truck is in the "Soco Market" lot on SoCo and you can call ahead so it's ready when you get there. The guy working was very nice and food was made pretty quickly too. Both combo and lamb plate were great. White sauce is delicious. Red sauce is spicy so be cautious - we just got ours on the side. The fries were the only things that were super disappointing. Got seasoning on them but pretty tasteless and kind of undercooked? Not a fan and definitely not for $6. The plate portions are great though. Will definitely be back!

Soco Halal is an unexpected gem in South Austin. You'll get great service, efficiency, and most importantly, amazing food! You also get hefty portions for a solid price. I ordered the falafel plate and was happy to see the falafel being made to order. It was the best falafel I've had in a long time, if not ever. My dish was jam packed with flavor; the rice was so so good and added sauces were tasty. Overall: I'm really appreciative of this small business turning my bad day into a good one. It was well over 100 degrees and they're in the truck with a literal fire going, but were still intentional, kind, and efficient. My dish was definitely the comfort food I needed!

Late night spot on Congress. Guy at counter was helpful and nice about my gluten allergy. Food was very reasonably priced and the portions were HEFTY. The food was SUPER good! In a sketchy parking lot of a convenience store but some of the best food trucks are lol!

Wow, just exquisite. This is one of the best "chicken over rice" mediterranean dishes I've ever had! Can't believe I haven't been here until now. This is reminiscent of the BEST I've ever had (sadly haven't had them in New York where they apparently originate), back when I lived in Houston. A brick- and- mortar joint called Gyro Hut, if I recall. This is as good! Don't question why it has 5 stars, it's deserved, believe me! Dear financial advisors who tell us to cook at home to save money... forget it, this is too delicious to pass up! This food truck opens at 5pm, just FYI.

The BEST rice with amazing flavor and falafel is fresh, crispy on the outside hot and soft on the inside. Reminds me of being in the Middle East!

Love having this place in the neighborhood. The combination plate over rice was great and the guys working in the trailer were super friendly! I'll definitely be back

By far one of the best Halal food trucks in the area! Portion sizes are a bang for your buck too!

We went at night (around 6:30pm) and only 5-6 food trucks were open, there were probably a dozen…read moretotal. I think some are open in the morning/afternoon and others in the afternoon/evening. I ordered an al pastor taco and chips with queso from CJ's tacos right before they closed at 7pm. The taco was good (a little greasy) but much better once you add the green sauce they serve with it on top. The queso was really tasty, like a better version of the tostitos queso. The food trucks are in a circle and surround a playground in the middle. It is a cool venue and while I wouldn't call it particularly nice, it is fairly clean. After the taco appetizer, we ordered gnocchi pomodoro and the casarecce with basil pesto and tomatoes from Artipasta with tiramisu for dessert. The pesto was good, but lacking in flavor a bit. The gnocchi were delicious, great texture and a wonderful tomato sauce. We honestly should have placed two orders for the gnocchi and skipped the casarecce. My friends liked the tiramisu but said it was a bit different from a traditional tiramisu. We wanted to try a vodka pizza from Day's Pizza but they were completely sold out for the day (no dough left). We tried the paneer entree and aloo paratha from the Desi Spot. The food took awhile to come out and I would have liked a few more pieces of paneer but it was all delicious. Overall a cool spot and a nice way to try a bunch of different food trucks and cuisines at once. Just check the hours for the food trucks you want to try before you go.

Went for the first time because they have a kids play area and the food truck had a kids menu…read more But this is what you get for an $11 grilled cheese and six pieces of waffle fries from kids menu. I complained to the food truck yesterday already but got a 'I don't care attitude' and was told to report to a manager. It's extremely misleading to charge $11 for a kids grilled cheese that's hamburger bun slapped with 2 slices of cheese. No kid would ever look at this and accept it as a grilled cheese. Any parent would know if their kid asked for a grilled cheese and got this instead, they're not going to be happy. The least the food truck can do is add a proper description that's not misleading.

Apparently, this place was Lustre Pearl and they are now Bouldin acres. This is their third…read morelocation. Claudia was so friendly when we walked in. We chatted for a little bit. The bartenders are nice and the Mexican martini drinks we ordered were very yummy. About $15. I'm not sure if there's a happy hour but lots of variety. It's not very busy so plenty of seats, for now. The Pickleball courts are free to book for now so take advantage it's a brand new court With solid ground. There's a playground for kids and two bars and plenty of parking. i'll need to come back to try the food trucks. They were getting ready and gearing up as we were leaving around five. Check it out. I'm looking forward to visiting more since I'm down here more often.
