My kids really love Zaxby's and Zax sauce, and when they do it right it is really good. The bread and fries are good too. But the experience of ordering has gotten utterly ridiculous. This past Tuesday we ordered an original recipe zax pack and another order of 5 lemon pepper chicken strips, since one pack is not quite enough for our family. Because they sometimes take SOOOOOOOO LONG to make the food, I ordered it approximately 30 minutes ahead of time, for my spouse to pick up. Unlike most other operations, there was no email or text confirmation of my order. Just what I could see in the app. Around the time the spouse was supposed to be picking up the order, I get a frantic call that they don't have the order. I had already paid, and since I get notifications any time my credit card is used I had an email showing the exact charge, matching the order in the app. Turns out someone else took the order. Some random person walked in, grabbed our bag, and walked out. You would think the manager would be able to see the order in their computer, since we gave them the time, the order, and the charge. Nope. In fact the manager would not even remake the order unless we could provide the order number. Now remember, we have no email or text message with the order and order number. I had to hunt it down in the app. It's in very tiny, dim text and is hard to see. I finally found it, and sent it to my spouse to show the manager. Once the manager had the order number, they made the order, and what should have been a quick pick-up turned into an ugly, time-consuming ordeal. Not only that, they made the order wrong, and the 5 lemon pepper chicken strips were original recipe. The year is 2026, and yet this company operates like they barely know what they are doing. Allowing randoms to steal other peoples' food, and then giving the legitimate customers the 3rd degree, leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. I ordered the new Chicken Bacon Ranch quesadilla and peach milkshake yesterday afternoon. I had seen the advertisements on TV and admit I feel victim to the marketing tactics. But I was very disappointed, unfortunately. The quesadilla was falling apart: the tortillas or whatever outer shell is used were overcooked and rubbery, the chicken was tough and falling out and the cheese was overcooked but not melted, suggesting very processed, fake cheese. I could barely eat 1 of the 3 sections and threw the rest away. The peach milkshake was equally as disappointing. From the moment I picked it up and out in my car I questioned the quality because there was an orange colored ring around the top of the cup near the whipped cream, suggesting that the peach flavoring had not been thoroughly mixed in with the ice cream. Upon taking a sip, it was obvious that the peach flavor and the vanilla ice cream flavor had not been mixed together thoroughly before giving it to me. It took a while for the ice cream to melt enough for me to thoroughly stir the two flavors together, but overall the flavor was completely artificial and never at any point palpable. I haven't been to Zaxby's in a while, but the commercial for the quesadillas really hooked me in and I was very much looking forward to them. I hadn't decided on the peach milkshake until I got there and saw them sign outside for it, but it looked delicious. Horrible horrible experience there is nothing but high school students who work there; nothing is wrong with high school students working at zaxbys .I am happy they are working however, they do not care what they give you !!!! I order my food and ask that the food be hot meaning I wanted my food drop fresh . After like 5 min the cashier handed me my food good thing I checked the chicken tenders was reheated the fries and chicken was cold . Here's a thought if you going to have a job do your job . I love a good zaxbys but this location does not hit. The customer service is not good, and the food was a lot less than other locations. They shorted us a piece of toast on our big Zac snack and when we asked for it she said they don't come with it (I come to zaxbys fairly often and know they do). Don't bother spending your money at this location. Staff will get your order incorrect or will give you food that is completely dry and charge you for condiments that you will not recieve. Ordered 3 kickin chicken sandwich meals, got home to find that the chicken was definitely not kickin. It was extremely dry...i called the manager at the location and was given the option to return the same night with the food or to bring the food the following day in order to replace. Stopped in early afternoon. First time visitor to Zaxby's. They are fairly new in Texas but as a Cain's loyalist, I was eager to see how they compared so we tried this longtime location in Pensacola before visiting one closer to home. Sadly we were underwhelmed. The chicken was overly salty and the breading had become mushy from too much heat lamp time. The fries were lukewarm at best. The slaw was crisp and sweet but the toast was just average. Went in on a Sunday to grab food, and while I know it is going to be busy I went in with that understanding. I ordered the nibblerz meal through the app with 4 shrimp and it stated it would be about 15 minutes. I grabbed my drink, and watched as more people came in, each ordering their own food. There were about 8 people who ordered after me, anywhere from 5 minutes after to almost 15 minutes after who each received their food before i did. I went to the register to inquire and the person at the register just shrugged her shoulders and stated that it is what it is and mad as if she wasn't going to ask. I had to ask a second time to check on the food to be told they were just then working on it. I could understand if one or two had gotten their food before me, but when 8 people who all ordered more food than I did got their food and left, it became unacceptable. When I was about to ask for a refund, they finally brought my food out. I won't return to this Zaxby's on Creighton at all and would rather take my chances with the once on Nine Mile instead and hope whoever is in charge can go check on their store since they need someone there to light a fire under the back of house. read more

This location closes whenever they want to regardless of the times posted on the internet. None of the other Pensacola Zaxby's locations do this. Either get new management or close the Creighton road location. Foosacklys or even KFC would thrive in this location. Apparently the Creighton road Zaxby's is owned by different franchisees. Update: After 4 months I decided to give them another try, just in case. I ordered on the app. I went to the restaurant. They said they weren't able to process orders. They didn't give me any alternative, just turned me away. I told them I already paid and asked if there was a way to cancel the order. They said no. So I left and I submitted feedback through the app. Instead of going to Zaxbys corporate (as it probably should have), it went to this local restaurant. I got an immediate call saying that the order had been cancelled and the pending charge on my card would expire and not go through, and that I would not be charged. This was a lie. The charge went through, and I was charged for food they refused to give me. It's not worth the effort to challenge the charge with my credit card company, but needless to say, I will never ever give them another change. When you take my money and refuse to provide anything at all in return and refuse to refund the money, that's a new low. Original review: This place has really gone downhill. It used to be that they got my order right every time, then they started getting it wrong some of the time, now they get it wrong every single time. The fact that they have still not opened up inside and everything goes through the drive-through makes it even more difficult to get my order corrected. They started out pretty fast then they got kind of slow, and now because they haven't opened up inside and everything goes through the drive-through, they are so slow they are slower than a sit down restaurant where a waitress takes your order and then brings you your food. We sat in the drive thru with no one in front of us for ten minutes waiting to give our order when I walked in to the store to see what was going on. All of the employees were just standing behind the counter joking around saying they were waiting on food to be made. That has nothing to do with greeting your customers and taking their order. After we ordered and payed, we were told we had to wait for our food to finish preparation which is ridiculous because there was literally no one at the restaurant. After ten minutes of waiting I went inside to find my food on the counter and cold. The employees said "oh yeah sorry that ten minute wait must've been long". She is talking to a coworker about an active shooter, hit and run, cussing, and then stated how she wished I would drive off. This Zaxby's location has always been my favorate, but my last two visits have been bad. Our orders have been wrong both times. The first time we just ate. Yesterday we returned the order. The staff fixed the one order but the other 2 were returned cold. The staff acted like they did not care. So my weekly visits are stopped. Will find somewhere else to eat. read more

I love Zaxby's! The first time I tried them was when I was in North Carolina and it was delicious. This is a southern chain so when I moved to Pensacola I was happy to see that there was one here. I always get the chicken tenders. It comes with French fries and a big ole thick buttery piece of toast, yum! I have also tried the grilled chicken sandwich, very good. WOW...Went thru the drive thru last night. Not only were the tenders cold they were hard and dry. BUT I FIGURED OUT WHY. The tenders are SOOOO small if you cook them longer than 2 minutes they will be a dried up shoe string. These are the smallest tenders known to Sysco. I ordered the Large plate which is 7 tenders. When I got home, I opened the box and was greeted by a pile of fries the size of a small mountain and off to the side, packed into one forth of the container were 7 of the smallest tenders ever seen. I should have taken a pic. I thought some of the tenders had to be under the fries but nope all 7 of them could have fit inside a pack of cigs. I'm talking SMALLLLLLLLLL...Church's tenders and Guthries across the parking lot are half the price and twice the size...Oh well...I know where I'm going next time. read more
