I guessing there are new owners at this location? I went in at 4:30 after calling in my order for a Philly cheesesteak. When I got home and looked at it I was really disappointed. The meat wasn't shedded it was chunky. I noticed why, it was mainly gristly and I guess that is why the meat was raw. Over $13.00 and I thru it in the trash. This wasn't one of the best subs I have had. It was THE BEST sub. I eat at a JM when I travel around. Some are good (Topeka) others not so much (Ocala). This was terrific. This location put on a clinic on how to make a sub. The ingredients were OBVIOUS and not hidden under a mound of lettuce, which was ample. The roll was absolutely fresh, which isn't always the case with whole wheat. Made with pride & cut to perfection. The Grubhub experience was so-so, as was the Yelp ordering experience. Yelp totally crapped the bed & wouldn't allow me to order from the Yelp app. I had to d/l the GH app to place the order. Can't blame the store but the owner needs to know their platform was less than helpful. Only complaint, which I'm not going to ding the store for, are napkins. Total order was $50 including a 25% tip and you'd think SOMEONE would think of throwing in a few napkins. I'll eat here again. read more

Over the last year or two it seems like the service is really fallen off and the quality of there food has gone down. They had a manager back then who made some of the best sandwiches I'd ever had. However I was going there tonight (Sunday) and it's about 20 minutes left for closing, but the open sign was off. So I stopped to see if anybody was in there. There was. While sitting in my truck deciding whether I was going to go in or not I watched an employee who was behind the counter vaping and blowing that stuff all over the food. It was.. okay Here's the thing, Pensacola does NOT know how to make a sub. I had very high hopes. These subs were... ok. The best I've had in Pensacola, but that bar is scraping the sand low. The bread was hard. The worst thing though, they are SOOO expensive. We got a regular size sub thinking it would be.. a regular size based on the price. NOPE! It was so tiny, it was like a snack size. We ended up cooking something for dinner an hour later. There's no way I'm spending $16 for a regular footlong sub. After arriving, I waited until all the customers in line had been served then someone came in ordered and got theirs before me. The male sandwich maker with glasses was RUDE. Well, at least it was filling. I got a roast beef and cheese mini done Mike's way. My hubby got an Italian regular, also Mike's way. We both agreed that the subs were bland and pretty much tasteless. With no salt or pepper on the table, we couldn't do anything to improve the taste. It is too bad we settled for Jersey Mike's. Jason's Deli was in the next shopping center and I bet there is a Jimmy John's or Firehouse Sub somewhere close by. I went to a Jersey Mike's for the first time yesterday. I mentioned that to the gal taking sandwich oreders. She then asked me if I wanted a 'regular' or 'giant'. I was just grabbing a bite for lunch so I opted for 'the smallest'. As I was checking out, I saw 'mini' listed on the board and asked the cashier about that. He said it was a smaller sandwich size. THAT would have been the size I wanted. I should have had them remake the sandwich but I didn't want the already-made sandwich to go to waste. I have never really had a problem with the establishment of Jersey Mikes, however today was a little different. After asking if they give Military discounts to active duty Military members, they proceeded to tell me that they only give discounts to military members who are in uniform. This Jersey Mikes, mind you, is not on a military installation. It is out in Pensacola, FL. So I proceeded to inform them that to be in uniform out in town makes you a target for terrorism, so we are taught not to wear our uniforms out in town. As well, Marines are not allowed to wear their utility uniforms out in town. Their response to this information was "I don't know what to tell you," and so no Military discount was given. The problem wasn't the sub, yet the lack of understanding for active duty military members and the fact that showing up in uniform shouldn't be required to gain a discount. Isn't enlisting, going through boot camp, serving our country, and being away from my family not enough for a small 10% discount. As well, just to add insult to injury they also request a tip at the end of every transaction. This was our 1st visit to a Jersey Mike's, and we did enjoy our sandwiches. I don't quite understand the lack of toppings offered - or maybe this location was low. However, this was a 2 minute stop, fast order, quick delivery food stop and they seem to force you to tip or make you feel horrible. We saw the looks on their faces change when we didn't opt for the highest tip amount shown on the iPad. Don't get me wrong, we are typically big tippers.. but we had literally no interaction with those making our order, received no help when we said it was our 1at visit and received blank stares from the girl making our sandwich when we asked about topping options. read more

This has got to be the best sub shop in Pensacola. On the east coast, they call them grinders, and that's what I really think of when my mouth waters for Jersey Mike's, as this place really sets itself apart from what you might find in terms of sub sandwiches in the Gulf Coast area. It's the freshness that makes a difference, and everything here tastes so fresh, from the bread, to the cheese, to the meat. The establishment is extremely small. Like no kidding, I couldn't fit a Prius in the lobby. The food was okay. Never something that threw me for leaps and bounds. The prices is what killed me. For what they offer, there is no reason for the price to be so steep! And as another review mentioned... the employees can sometimes be an ass (including the owner whom I've met on a prior occasion).
