    Philly's Cheesesteak

Our annual trip to Navarre Beach from Pennsylvania always yields in a stop at Philly's Cheesesteak & Hoagiies in Pensacola. This marks our 10th year and Philly's NEVER disappoints! We love the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich! This is the BEST sandwich on the menu (in my opinion). I highly recommend stopping by, I promise you will not be disappointed! Thank you!

While the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich is what they tout, have you tried Birch Beer? I stumbled upon it as an option in their soda machine. It is like an herb-y Root Beer and is super refreshing! Specifically, they dispense the Pennsylvania Dutch Birch Beer. This restaurant is located near U.S. 90/ State Road 10, exit off 5th Street with the entrance at Wilkes Street. Once you turn into the lot, head to the right. It's at the corner. Three of us came here and got food to take home to eat. We got Cheesesteak Sandwiches, Onion Rings, Fries, and Mozzarella Sticks. I got the Plain Steak with Hot Peppers, Bell Peppers, Mushrooms, & Onions. It survived the trip home and was scrumptious! Next time I'd get the same thing but dressed with some Tomato & Lettuce. Other than that Birch Beer, the Cheesesteak was definitely the star! They offer various hot sandwich options like Steak, Sausage/Pork, Meatball, and Chicken. They also have cold sandwiches on their menu along with burgers. If none of those options float your boat, you can get a Veggie Hoagie. I hope to bring my husband here when we are back in the area!

Just not great. Very mediocre food. We were missing real Philly cheesesteaks and had high hopes.

Service was good but sandwich meat was horrible. Low quality, dry, and a lot of hard pieces.

Delicious food and service. No complaints. Cheese steak and fries are the best in the area.

The dough was thin and chewy, the cheese was delicious, and the sauce was just a little bit on the sweet side. The ambiance is modern with contemporary rock playing continuously. Plus one for not being stingy and letting people take the parmesan cheese and chili flake shakers to the tables. Haven't had any of the sandwiches yet, but those, along with the pizzas are on the pricier side for the area. However, the pizza's quality was good and I'd be willing, nay - eager - to try one of their sandwiches.

One day you get it right, the next trip leaves a negative memory in your head. If the right employees are there, its a slam-dunk; if not, good luck. The outdoor chairs and tables are at the least a people HAZARD. Your beverage will turn over or fall off the table if it is slightly bumped due to worn out, missing or loosened hardware; beware of wearing light colored pants on the completely rusted chair seats. (This includes every table and chair in the outside area). I have mentioned the chair and table issue to the Manager and he tells me that those above him will not address the Table/Chair issue. If this wasn't enough Gloom and Doom, they have recently added an outside Inflatable TUBE MAN for advertising. The decibel rating is horribly high, to be situated only 8-10 steps from the outside eating area. (another upper management executive decision) Too bad that Management cant fix these small significant issues. So, it boils down to a real Craps-Shoot; almost, how you ordered it food, keep a death-grip on your beverage container, sit on plenty of napkins and bring your ear plugs for the outside area.

Goat Lips Chew & Brew House feels like the kind of place that was designed after someone said,…read more"What if every room had a different personality and the backyard never ended?" And honestly? The vibe is the star here. This place is wildly eclectic in the best way. A huge outdoor area that feels built for lingering, laughing, and losing track of time, plus a maze of themed rooms inside that make every turn feel like you accidentally walked into a different bar. It's unique, memorable, and exactly the kind of place you want to love before the food even hits the table. The service definitely helped that cause. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely pleasant from start to finish. Then the pretzel appetizer arrived and apparently chose violence. The beer cheese sauce had the consistency of warm yellow water and somehow even less personality. The pretzel itself tasted like it had been baptized in butter but still came out bland, which is honestly an achievement. I didn't know something could be both greasy and forgettable, but here we are. Thankfully, I was aggressively encouraged to order the club sandwich. "You HAVE to get it," they said. For once, the hype mostly paid off. The bread was toasted beautifully, full of crunch and flavor, and the sandwich as a whole really worked. Now, the meat? Let's just say it had strong gas station cold-cut energy. Perfectly edible, nothing offensive, but nobody's writing songs about it. That said, the mayo situation deserves its own fan club. There's some kind of mustard-seasoned magic happening in that spread, and it absolutely carries the whole sandwich across the finish line. Honestly, give me that toast cut into strips and a bowl of that sauce, and I'm a happy man. Forget the turkey, let me dip carbs directly into whatever wizardry they whipped up back there. So where does Goat Lips land? A place with a killer atmosphere, great service, one appetizer that should be investigated, and one sandwich condiment worthy of applause. The experience averages out exactly where the stars do: right down the middle. Three stars. Goat Lips is average food wrapped in an unforgettable setting, which somehow makes the whole thing more fun than it probably deserves.
