Never in my life have I thought to visit a Zaxby's, but I ended up here because Zaxby's is doing a collab with MrBeast, the popular Youtuber. My children love MrBeast. And so we visit. We ordered the MrBeast Box, which includes four chicken fingers, Zax Sauce, fries, a half order of fried white cheddar bites with ranch dressing, two slices of Texas Toast, a small drink, and a Feastables milk chocolate bar, served in a collectible box. It's a lotta food! Two people can easily share a MrBeast Box. Zaxby's is offering the MrBeast Box for a limited time, but I think it's smart to join forces with one of the most popular Youtubers on the planet, because it got me into Zaxby's to give them some of my money. My cheese-loving youngest child really liked the fried white cheddar bites. They're kind of like a fried cheese curd. They're very snackable. I got a Cobb salad with fried chicken, and it was fine for a fast-casual salad. It had a lot of stuff on it (bacon, cheese, egg, fried onions, tomato, cucumber), so there was lots of variety. Not bad. The dining room is actually pretty nice, with lots of local sports paraphernalia and Indy-related decor. There are lots of different places to sit, from booths to tables. Probably the best part of the meal was the ice that they offer in the soft drink area. It's the best kind of ice: rabbit turd! If an establishment offers rabbit-turd ice, it immediately jumps up a notch in my mind. read more

I called and talk to a manager, they said to come back in and they would make the extra pieces of chicken. I don't go here often. Just ok. that's about all I can say about Zaxby's. I've never visited one, and decided to pop in on a random Saturday afternoon for lunch last week. The online ordering process was quite easy, which I do appreciate. Being able to customize the order is important. Ordered a standard chicken sandwich and while it was better than most out there, it was just a shade under Popeye's and the chicken restaurant with the red and white chicken logo. There's so much to see with the decor of the Indianapolis Pacers and the Indianapolis Colts! Lots of history on the walls here for their decor! First, I was excited about the menu, I had so many options! I want to shrimp and I also wanted to salad. So I decide to get the fried chicken salad., and I got the extra shrimp on the side for three dollars! This was a great choice! The shrimp were amazing, and my fried chicken salad was! TL;DR It's no Chick-fil-a but it's better than Popeye's. What Zaxby's has going for their chicken sandwich compared the competition is the size of the breast. My wife and I both had chicken sandwiches and our son the chicken fingers. Everything was serviced hot and juicy. I opted for the spicy Zaxby's sauce which wasn't very hot at all, and spread on both the top and bottom buns. My wife got her's with regular sauce and our son, sauce on the side. Their sauce is just, meh. With the meals, we ordered the default crinkly fries, which were good. They have a really cool Coke dispenser machine which can be controlled by your smart phone via a QR code for hands free operation. read more

I have been here once before and wasn't really a fan. Decided to give it another shot tonight with a friend. The service was friendly and efficient. The drink station was dirty and needed attention which is a bit of a turn off. They do have a door freestyle machine so if it's busy it takes a bit longer. The food was hot and fresh. The tenders tasted good but man some were more like a chicken fry! Scrawny and not much to them. The Zaxby's sauce was good. Reminds me of canes. But beware of how many calories are in it. I have never had such a horrible customer service experience. As much as I have supported this establishment today will be the last time. After asking for a cup of water and paying .25 for it we asked for extra Zaxby's sauce. The gentleman who appeared that he may have been a manager said you got a sandwich which we put sauce on the bun, the meals come with 1. Any additional will be .25. Well d@?! After spending almost $30 for 2 meals and a kids meal I will take my business elsewhere. I know $30 is not going to make or break a business. We stopped at this location on the way to our hotel on 11/1/24. I've been to a Zaxbys in Northwest Arkansas previously, and had a great experience there. This location was not the same. My chicken was rubbery, and did not appear to be fully cooked. My order of cheese curds were rock hard and disgusting. I don't think I will ever go to another Zaxbys. The giant inflatable chicken on the roof made it easy to spot. Once inside I found busy Indianapolis and chicken centric decor. I sized up the menu and settle on the Big Zax Snack. I don t like to eat big meals when I'm driving. Well, it was more generous than expected with a pile of crispy crinkle cut fries, Texas toast and five instead of the stated three chicken tenders. The bread I'd on the teasers was crunchy and a little salty for my taste. The Zax sauce tastes and looked like a seasoned ketchup / mayo blend and was a bit too sweet. However, the food is just so, so salty! Even the salads! Wow. I'm late to the party on this place! First order at Zaxby's! The service was slow and it took them awhile to even acknowledge me at the window. I know it's cold out, but at least say hello. I came here with my sister and mom. Very clean and the staff was really good. Great customer service. Ordered The Blue Zalad. It was a serving size and fresh. I was so full I couldn't eat it all. It was about $7-8. Def well worth the price. Will definitely order again if I come in this area. My sister had the nuclear boneless wings. Beware, she could feel her pressure rising because they were so spicy . My mom had the chicken sandwich. She like it as well but wished she'd ordered the salad. After reading through a bunch of reviews I wanted to give Zaxby's a chance, and I had high hopes that I would still have a good experience. I reviewed the menu before going and I saw some good options. Unfortunately the prices are not listed on their online menu unless you order it to go. We ordered at the register and shortly after we filled our drinks they called our order and we sat down. I started off very frustrated because the Coke Freestyle machine was completely out of lemonade. If you consistently read my Yelp reviews you would start to notice that I order lemonade pretty much everywhere I go so this wasn't off to a good start. I ordered the Zaxby's Club sandwich meal which includes the sandwich, fries, and a drink. It was under $8. We also split an order of cheese curds which is an appetizer. Everything was just ok. Everything was hot but the taste and flavor wasn't all there for me. I liked the fries but I could tell the chicken was totally processed and not fresh. Nothing compared to other restaurants and it's not even near the same level as Chick-fil-A in my opinion. The prices weren't too bad especially since the meals include fries and a drink but quality ingredients and chicken should be more important than making a profit off of cheap processed pieces. As for the dining area it was pretty clean and organized. The condiment/napkins station was stocked although the ketchup was running low. One thing that I noticed this business isn't doing is being more environmentally friendly with their products such as the drink cups, plates, and straws. I feel that more companies are moving in a positive direction and are trying to save the environment one step at a time but I didn't see this here. All the cups are styrofoam (doesn't break down in landfills), the plates are too, and the silverware and straws are plastic. I understand it's hard for a company to covert to more environmentally friendly products but I saw no attempt and it kills me to see so much styrofoam in the trash. I love Zaxby's! The seasoning on the chicken is delicious, the dipping sauce is addicting, and the fries are golden and has a yummy cajun rub on it. It's extremely affordable like the fast food chains around the area but I don't see as long of a line here as I do at Chickfila, Chipotle, Qdoba, etc. The workers seem to have great attitudes and the food is extremely quick even though competitor chicken places can take a while. read more

Had this for lunch a couple weeks ago with a co-worker. My first time here. The location was great, right off Michigan near a lot of other restaurants and shopping. Very convenient for a work lunch because it is 5 minutes away. If you aren't a fan of chicken, do not come here. The majority of the menu is chicken based (hence the name lol) but I love chicken. I love this place! The wings are so big and the sauces are amazing . I have tried about 5 different ones. This location is very clean and it is in a parking lot with party city so it is not a really busy area. You won't have any issues with parking if you plan to dine in. I always go through the drive way to get my food and it is a easy process . Recently I decided to get the 5 piece chicken fingerz (tenders) it comes with Texas toast, fries, and Zaxby's special sauce. Which is a really good tangy sauce . My second visit to Zaxby's was fueled by the TV commercials for their new chicken sandwiches. The commercial shows a sandwich with a large piece of "hand-breaded chicken" with a nice tall, brown bun neatly piled with lettuce and tomato. OK, I know that most fast food TV adds false advertisement but I had to see. Yup, the small sandwich came out with a smashed bun. The chicken was a relatively thin slice of chicken breast (cooked well). The sandwich had shredded lettuce falling out of it. It came with the a side of grade school cafeteria style crinkle fries. Obviously not like the commercial and not that appetizing. I give this establishment 3 stars because, on my visit, it was very clean and the register workings were very friendly and efficient. I've had Zaxby's here one other time prior to this visit and it was the same results. I'm not sure why I always receive my food cold and it doesn't taste fresh. In more detail the bread is always cold or burnt. Walking inside there was a smell that I could not get passed I'm not sure if a pipe had burst or plumbing was backed up but it is something that they should get checked out. I refused to eat inside due to the smell and asked for the meal to be to go. I never have issues with the Zaxby's in Fishers but this one always has its troubles. The wings I asked for also barely had sauce on them and they charge you more for extra which is understandable but not when there's practically no sauce on the wings to begin with. I hadn't really heard much about Zaxby's when it entered into the Indy Market several years ago but I'm shocked at the poor reviews. It has fast casual down pat with restaurant-quality wings at fast-food prices. Service has always been super-friendly and it's a worthy competitor to near-by Chik-Fil-a when their lines are insurmountable or their doors closed on Sunday. If I ended this statement here it would be 3-stars but I'm adding two just based on the grilled chicken sandwich alone! I've had it 3 times and I come here just for that healthy option. To rate the tenders they were average at best but I did really like the sauce. If I were to only rate the tenders I probably would give them 1 *. They were small and not at all meaty which makes them overlook easily which they were. But there were some positives. The staff was incredibly friendly! I am not used to sitting in a fast food establishment and have it one but two employees ask me if everything was ok and whether I needed anything. Other positives - I loved the fries, the crinkly kind and of course, what is not to like about the self service coke machine where you have choices galore. I am sure there is a name for these. Decided to dine in to get a quick bite in between running errands. Glad I did the service was great! From the greeting at the counter until I received my food the cashiers were all very pleasant and my food was served quickly and hot. I was also pleased to learn that they offer a 25% discount to what they call community heroes. This includes military personnel both active-duty and veterans, EMTs, firefighters and police officers. Underwhelmed. The food is ok and I love that the containers have vent holes so the steam does not turn anything to mush. The French fries are boring and under-seasoned crinkle cuts, and they were a bit undercooked. I personally didn't care for the mild wing sauce flavor. I have had it twice, and both times I felt like it had a strong mustard taste, which did not blend well with the buffalo flavor. The first time we went there, they omitted my husband's meal. By the time we got home and realized it, it was not worth driving back, so we called and he went back the next day to get a new order. He laughed that when he gave his name, they pulled out a LONG list of orders that appeared to be wrong. They also gave him only the replacement meal, nothing else. For a second drive to get there, they should have at least offered a free drink. It is not a horrible place, and to be fair, they just opened and need to sort out the kinks. I do enjoy Zaxby's. My go to is the grilled Chicken Caeser Salad and a nibbler on the side. If you don't know what the nibbler is, it's a mini fried chicken sandwich. I fool myself into thinking it's not all that bad for me because I'm only getting a salad and small bite size sandwich right? So why the two stars? Because this location had the slowest service I may have ever had at a Zaxby's. I just don't want an experience with slow service to ruin someones, who may have never had Zaxby's, first time here. This place was recommended to me by my son. He swears it's better than chick-fila. We are in Anderson Indiana for the weekend and he saw there was a Zaxby's in Indy. We drove out the way to come see what the hype was about. They are extremely slow. Just to stand in line and order took what seemed like 10 mins. I placed my order and was given cups for the beverages. Now, I get excited when places have the coke machine with variety of flavors. I get over there and there is no sweeteners for the machine. I went to tell the cashier about it and she told me she can get it from the machine for drive thru. Anyway, I was a little annoyed because I like to create my own little mixture and I told her to save herself and the customers some frustration she should inform us prior to ordering. Just as soon as I left the counter, the lady behind me was pissed about the same thing. Meanwhile as I typing this review, I still have not gotten my order. Mind you, I'm not the fastest texted on the phone. I'm hoping that this forever wait is well worth it. Stay tuned.... We finally got our order after a 1/2 hour. It was so not worth the wait. My fries were cold and the chicken was warm. I thought at least my food would be fresh and piping hot. I had them make me another order of onion rings and fries.
