My chicken sandwich was pink and stringy and raw. I spit it out. Fingers crossed I don't get sick. They forgot my 3 cookies and no caramel sauce with the funnel cake. No napkins in the bag. When I called the store 3 times the phone rings and the answering machine picks up. What is going on with this store? They close at 8 and online orders have to be picked up in store. My kids and I enjoy this location of Zaxby's in Holly Springs. The customer service has always been great. Caleb always gives wonderful customer service when we have been served by him. The new grilled chicken Philly sandwich is really good. I like that this location offers .99 cent kids meals with purchase of an adult meal up to two kids meals on Tuesday nights. This is nice because my kids enjoy their kids meals and it's wonderful when we are a busy family with extracurricular activities and some nights need to grab a meal on the go. I'm struggling with this because it just dawned in me that I'm about to give a fast food place a five star review. I don't know if I'm gonna get any sleep tonight and I hope this never happens again, on principle alone. But here goes nothing. Today I need ZERO stars!!! Highly disappointed in our service today. First- the scanner for the Zaxby app that I have my payment linked to was not working. The staff member said it was broken allday and there was nothing they could do. First, that should be told to customers before they place their order, not when they are at the drive thru window trying to pay while holding up the line. Unfortunately, I did not have my wallet with me. So, I almost just said forget it and cancel my order. It's not my fault they couldn't accept the payment from their app. Instead, I used my Apple Pay on my phone which -- I don't understand how that can be scanned but not the QR code on the app. Second- our meal was cold. The fries was old and stale, the chicken wings was hard and stringy. And they forgot our sauce we ordered, which wouldn't have made a difference in the meal. Basically, this entire meal was placed in the trash when we got home. Wasted $20. We will NOT be returning to this establishment. Definitely room for improvement on quality and service. The food is up the normal Zaxby's quality, but the service here is poor. If my kids didn't like it so much I'd never go back though. It's become a running joke in the family as to who's order will be messed up, but they get something wrong almost every time. The food is good. The service is horrible. I have ordered from this location on three different occasions. Each time something was missing with the meals. Each of the orders were large, over 60$ so I always give the benefit of the doubt since they are large. However, this time I ordered a family meal, salad and fries. I ordered the boneless chicken wings and was surprised that the celery was so crispy and fresh for fast food. The wings had a lot of sauce on them and they were big. DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!!! If I could give this place a 0 star rating I would. I'm a door dasher and my experience here was awful. I waited on the side of the counter for someone to help me because the order wasn't on the pickup shelf. I stood there for 20 mins.. the Kid taking my order looked at me about 7 different times and was helping everyone except me so I got upset. I told him my order name 3 different times then he proceeded to tell me there was no need to stand there and after waiting there for 20 minutes I told him that it didn't matter and I've been here for 20 mins. (There was no one in the front helping this kid but they had two people working the drive thru... anyways- ) he asks me one last time to confirm the name for the order and I do. Then he throws the food in a bag and hands it to me. I go to drop off the order and my customer tells me this isn't his order. So I tell them that I'm my way back to the store. At this point I'm beyond furious but I walk in and the manager (older black male with gray and black hair). immediately starts telling me how I didn't do my job and check the order before I left and how this is door dash policy and yet I tried to explain to him multiple times HIS employee handed me the order after asking multiple times what the name was to the order , AFTER making me stand there for 20 minutes and still managed to mess up the order. He insisted on arguing back with me in the middle of the store about how I should've checked the bag and the problem would've been avoided. But then contradicted himself by realizing that there was no sticker on the bag for the order that was handed to me, that's when he gave up and realized that it was his employee who messed up. As I was walking out the store he rushes out the store right behind me and gets in his car and takes off... that whole interaction lasted two hours and cost me to lose two hours worth of money and work. This isn't my first time having an issue with this exact manager. When I was a customer here I had gotten the 20 boneless wings and I had asked the lady if I could do different sauces for each and she told me yes. Then when we get to the window the manager corrects her and informed me that they cannot do that and that all 20 wings have to be the same flavor. So he asked me which flavor would I prefer. I tell him which flavor and he literally rolls his eyes and sighs saying but he already made 10 of the other batch. I repeated to tell him that I was sorry but that is not what I wanted and I was under the impression that I would be getting one of each and he decided to argue back with me. We ordered plain with lettuce and got cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato (luckily kiddo did not mind) We did not know what a Zaxbys sauce was so we got it on the side. Very comparable to Chick Fil A sauce. The kids meal was mostly fries. Would have loved a fruit side. Fun soda machine that lets you mix different flavors but there was a long line. They need 2. So the new Zaxby's in Holly Springs is outstanding. The fact that it is so new makes everything seem nice and its always clean. The staff is always friendly and the manager even came table to table to say hello and check that everything was good. I love the food at Zaxby's all the time, but what makes it nice is to sit inside and not rush even though it is fast food. I give this location 3 stars because of the seemingly trending style of management lately that I've experienced at multiple restaurants in my area. Workers are lazy! The food barely had any sauce on both of my sandwich choices and my fiance had ordered wings that seemed so undercooked that she didn't eat them. Stopped into this Zaxby's for a quick lunch. I love Zaxby's salads, but had never been to this location before. A family of 5 ordered right before me, so it took a few extra minutes to fill my order, but nothing out of the ordinary. I must say that I was very impressed by the accuracy of my order (I special order A LOT!) that many other Zaxby's never get right. I went here with my family for the first time last week when they opened. Had never had Zaxby's before, but a friend told me they were worth checking out. I was expecting fast food but was surprised to see its more of a sit-down restaurant. Nice decor, friendly staff, and wonderful food. I had the fried house salad--VERY NICE!- and the fried mushrooms. Went here on a Wednesday night for kids night. My 7 year old son loved his balloon animals! Very friendly staff and food was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Quick service but nice to sit down and eat too. The lady helped carry our food and have us free appetizers. read more
