I stopped in today for a late lunch . The young man at the register was pleasant and polite. I ordered the flavor of the day which was turtle dove. I have never had so many nuts in ice cream before. It was amazing and delicious. I had the cod again and it was as good as the last time I had it . It came out quickly and was hot. I asked for extra lemon and there were plenty on the plate. The coleslaw was excellent.. there is always an employee cleaning the dine in areas and the lady today really worked hard at keeping the tables clean, She was even keeping an eye out on the floor! Creamy, rich custard. Okay fries, burgers, and sandwiches. Excellent salads. Pricier than I anticipated. We placed an uber eats order for crinkle cut fries ($4.29), bacon deluxe double ($10.79), shake ($6.39), spicy crispy chicken sandwich ($8.59), chicken cashew salad ($11.79), and Buffalo chicken tenders ($9.69). Most of the meal was satisfying, but lackluster. The shake was good and the salad was the best part. It's large, fresh, and packed with toppings. On the uber eats menu, we were not able to customize the entrees to remove items. Plus the uber eats menu doesn't mention that the chicken cashew salad has cheese on it. Just got back from this Culver's drive thru. We ordered several items including an order of chicken tenders and a coke. I noticed when they handed over our drinks, we lacked the coke. We were told we needed to go around the drive thru again in order to get it. There were already another 6 cars in line and we had ice cream to get home. So we just left. When we got home we found a hamburger instead of the chicken tenders. You guys could learn a lot from Chick-fil-A. I tried, yet again, to review using the survey code. I haven't been successful any time I tried. I keep getting an error message not to use an O. Are zeros O's? If so, quit using them. Stopped in wanting to try this place. I orders a fish sandwich and a chocolate custard. The fish sandwich was ok. After looking over the ingredients list, It was missing the sauce and it wasn't hot. I also got a custard which was delicious. The downside of my visit was that the booths were wiped down with a sour rag. I picked 2 booths to sit at and both smelled like a sour rag. I picked a different table and I could still smell that. Because of the smell, I had to eat my food quickly and ended up eating half of the sandwich. The custard I took outside to my truck just to get out of the restaurant. That was an expensive meal for having to eat quickly due to the smell. Most of the staff seem to be 18 and under so I'm sure they aren't paying attention to their wiping rags. Kinda gross though. read more

My very first time going to Culver's today. Went at lunch and through the drive through (yeah, I'm brave like that, lol). I have heard a lot about this place so I thought today would be the day. First initial positive impression... double drive thru. No, not like McD's side by side though, one after another. I placed my order, had to repeat my order again, got the basic burger basket. Burger fries and a sweet tea. Made it to the window, paid for my order then my car was slapped with a sticker and advise to pull up and wait for my order. That wasn't an impressive thing, not received well by me. 5 minutes later the guy found my car and gave me my order. But then I asked how do I get out of this line of cars in front of me and behind me who are waiting for their order. He had no answer. So I had to wait another 2 minutes or so before the car in front of me got their order and we could leave. And the biggest rub of all, I didn't check my order before I left. I was already a little miffed, but I let it go until I got home. Got my burger, with cheese (I asked for no cheese), no ketchup (I asked for ketchup) and IMO crinkle fries... pale, this side of underdone crinkle cut fries. GROSS! Upside... the burgers, double patty, was impressive, and the lettuce, tomato and onion were nicely fresh. The burger was cooked well, and a nice thickness combined. But end of the day, I just don't see what the hub bub was about. I'm not a fan! Not impressive, I'd have gotten a better deal for $13 at Five Guys down the road a little. And crinkle cut fries? I know they are not made by hand there, no way, so the fries scored a big fat goose egg. Drive thru review: Fast and courteous. I needed a minute to figure out my order. (No one behind me.) Friendly voice and good follow up questions. Money exchange was efficient. Had to pull up and wait 3 min. Normal here and worth it. This will be a rare occurrence for me. No pics. I was too hungry. Sourdough Paddy melt was hot, meat crispy, onions caramelized. Here is where they lost a star. It was flattened so hard the bread was, well smushed. No reason to do that to the bread. This is a preference. Now that I know, I'd still order it again. I've stopped ordering food from Culver's. I don't care for onion, and that nasty, sloppy onion goo they put on the sandwich is not what I like. That said, I simply don't order it. I got it anyway, both the last two times. The first time, we had a company, so I gave the sandwich to someone else and made myself something. The second time, I decided to take the sandwich back. It was so sloppy it fell through the paper wrapping and splattered on the table. I had ordered dinner for my wife and I. So, while I drove back 30 minutes due to traffic, she ate by herself. When I got there, the person apologized, had another sandwich made properly, put in it a bag and handed it to me. That was it. My fries sitting in my kitchen are cold, the drink is melted. But, I got a sandwich. I put an online complaint and got a call. When I told them the story of how they have screwed up, they send a coupon. One free value meal, with an expiration of a month. They did get our order wrong by adding fries on each order when we asked for cheese curds with one and not meals for the other. The chocolate shake was good. This is my fourth time visiting Culver's, and I have to say each visit has been mediocre at best. Greasy fried fish, salty roast beef sandwich and almost 15 minutes to get a salad through the drive thru. It took so long that the person that ordered after me got their food first. Amazing! This location is underated, how are the reviews not in the 4 star range? Don't believe any negative reviews. I'm 100% sure those are rare individual experiences. I've been coming for over a year now quite often since I moved over here. The staff is always very friendly. The food is always hot and fresh and amazing, and can't beat the price. Butter burger was great, always a Fav of mine. First time here in 7 months, thats how long its been since my gastric bypass, so I figured it was time to try a burger, and it took awhile but seems ok. The pretzel bites are good and the cheese sauce is good, though I wonder if it is real Wisconsin cheddar sauce or just some nacho cheese. It's a fast food chain, so if you've ever eaten at Culver's, then you know the selection. Butterburgers and cheese curds are standard faire here, as you would expect from a chain from Wisconsin. So what differentiates one Culver's from another? The service. This team is dedicated. We loved interacting with them, and he even recognized my jacket and asked if I was a veteran, and gave me the discount (he wasn't wrong by the way, I am a veteran, but I usually don't ask for the military discount). They keep the restaurant clean, and they even decorated for the holidays. Tried Culver's for the first time that just opened up in Fuquay-Varina. The classic butter burger with cheddar was not bad. The meat was well seasoned. The style of burger was the kind you find at Steak & Shake or Freddy's. For me personally I prefer thicker burgers, so I'm just giving it 3stars. Didn't get to try their custard or shakes. They make the order fresh once you order so give them a few minutes to bring it out to you after you pay. There is indoor seating and drive thru service. Spent $40 at this place as we had a kids get together. They got most of the order wrong, and half was missing. On the way back to the store I talked to the duty manager who said they would make fresh and refund me. When I finally got there they were busy, the store manager said he could remake the food or refund not both. How is it a remake when I never got it o. The first place? Totally obnoxious manager. My wife and I visited Culver's on a Friday evening arriving just before the dinner rush about 5:15 pm. It was our first time here and we were a little surprised as we expected a wait person and a sit down dinner. Instead we discovered that you order at the counter and they bring your food to you. Culver's is a burger and custard chain from Wisconsin. I know them from travel. In the world of fast food, this is above average and recommended. You can get "butter" burgers here and yes, they are putting butter in the burger. It makes for a different burger. What I enjoy are the more different sandwich and dinner plates, for example the pot roast sandwich or cod dinner. I suppose one reason I rank it as better than most fast food is the choice to have something different. The custard is delicious and IMO on par with Goodberrys. If you are eating in ask about having it served after you've eaten. So why only 3 stars? Solely because it IS a fast food restaurant and when compared to other full scale restaurants, this is about as good as fast food can score in my book. read more

This would have been a 2 star review but I enjoyed the fries so it pushed it up a star. I got the create your own single butter burger with lettuce, ketchup, pickles, grilled onions and American cheese. With a side of fries. Let me start with the good- the fries...so I'm not a huge fan of crinkle cut but they were well seasoned, crispy and plentiful. The star of the meal to be quite honest. The burger... flat and lackluster, reminded me of a McDonald's burger with sliced onions (because they're suppose to be fancier) instead of diced. I didn't taste any ketchup on the burger and the chopped lettuce felt cheap. The "butter" bun didn't impress me either. The taste overall wasn't bad but for the price, I was expecting a better, more robust burger. Nothing stood out, it was a basic burger with a "butter bun". Can I have some special sauce or something?? Honestly I've been hearing so much about Culver's being so good and I was disappointed.
