I called 2 weeks after and they decided without even seeing the product new with tags, they declined a refund? WTF!!!! Called again to speak to a supervisor and again no call 2 weeks later nothing! Finally Zara opens in Westlake! Compared to the other Zara's I've been to (Vancouver & Miami), this location is spacious and organized. If there is one item I would go nuts for, its their pants. I haven't seen so many different colors and patterns in just one store. They also have cute shoes but are a little pricey IMO. Zara has a great return policy (30 days for refund or exchanges). I returned a dress after discovering a snag on the shoulder and I got my money back no questions asked...just as long as you have the receipt and card you paid with. Like what another reviewer mentioned, the employees are not the most friendly either. The ladies I encountered at the cashier both times were polite but it seems nobody goes out of their way to greet or see if you need assistance. read more

Do not buy perfume at this place! They don't let you return if the box is opened. I didn't know this when I bought it. My first time buying the perfume here. I want the bottle with the leather on the outside of the bottle and it says Gardenia. When I bought it home and opened the box the perfume bottle doesn't have the covering on the outside. Brought it back for an exchange and they won't let me. Before I bought it I did bring the sample bottle and ask the cashier if it was the right one and she said it was. Zara has a very decent selection of clothes. Some of their styles are a little too outspoken or ill-fitting for me but that is mostly a taste/body thing. There are however a lot of great pieces that I have gotten from Zara over the past several years that I have been a die-hard fan of. To a large degree you get what you pay for. Their prices are great and the way that I wear my clothes, no matter the quality, it will break down sooner rather than later. I expect this in most of my clothes that I get from Zara and that's why I appreciate the price point. The other day however I bought a pair of Skinny Jeans and I was really happy the way they look on me and how they feel being worn. I was super bummed out when the button on the fly broke off after having the pair for 5 days. I went into Zara with the tag but no receipt (It got lost somewhere in my house) and they were more than willing to exchange the piece for me. Unfortunately they no longer had my size in the correct color so I had to go for a deeper blue. Either way it was quick and painless and they helped me out. I've always been pleased with the service at the downtown Zara. The only reason this score isn't a 5 is mainly because of the longevity and fit of most of the clothes, their lack in larger sizes, and the escalator is almost always out of service. Considering moving it up to a five however mainly because these issues are out of anyone's control in the store. read more

I love Zara. I love their clothes. This location, the only one in Washington just lacks the size selection that I'm used to seeing in NYC and Italy. I don't know why but it is very difficult to find clothes in XS for some reason. I end up a lot of times having to showroom and go home and order it online. I will say the service here is hit or miss. Sometimes I'm greeted and helped when I need and sometimes I'm ignored and no one is available. Overall, Zara runs a super agile supply chain where they send only a few units of each item to every store and they are able to create new trends and designed and have it in their stores super quick. I will say, if you see something at Zara you are on the fence about...buy it as it will likely not be there when you come back. Just saying...be warned... I will say their return policy is fine but their process in doing so is not becoming of a multinational chain. They have their manager come to check the barcode and serial number to the receipt and make sure the clothing is in good condition before approving. As a customer, you feel the sense you are holding up the line in doing so. Zara if you're listening, you are part of Inditex, a super successful company, dont make the customer feel awkward for returning. Also a tip, their clothes run super slim so if you buy any clothes for your boyfriend or husband, make sure you don't get the slim version of pants unless they have SUPER CHICKEN LEGS, seriously. read more

This is THE best Zara I have been to in the USA. They don't have too many locations here in the states and this one is huge. It's 2 stories tall and has tons of clothing in it. They have women's, men's and even children's clothes at this location. They were also having a huge sale when I was there! Even better :) If you don't know what zara is....they have very classy and fashion forward clothes. It's like a more sophisticated but very very similar version of H&M. read more

My experience at Zara was nothing short of a disaster! I went there with my great aunt, who's 87, and we had to wait so long in line she almost peed in her adult diaper! Open more registers. I also had to come back to return a shirt that I ordered online because it didn't fit, and one of the workers told me to "hop on a treadmill" and threw her salad right in my face. The dressing rooms are closed more than open. Zara sizing is a all over the board. Sometimes a small fits and and xl is too small. Trying things on is ESSENTIAL. First time consumer of the Zara brand and completely let down. I bought a wool coat at the end of Nov 2017. A few days in the liner started to rip. I've had the coat for about 1.5 months now and the liner has worsened. I brought it to a tailor and he stated it's from poor construction. The store manager at Zara wouldn't help me at all bc I've worn the coat for even a day. Now I have to pay out of pocket and be without my coat during the winter season. First and foremost, I. LOVE. ZARA. CLOTHES. I buy new stuffs every week, especially when a new collection rolls out. The store is always clean and neat unlike the clothes. I have seen lipstick stain on white shirts, makeup stain on dresses. Now this is not the employees' fault. I'm just writing so people can be more careful when trying out some clothes. Some items look like they have been trembled on even. The reason for the two stars is the dirty, torn items are put on the racks the next day. I pointed out the giant tear in a dress the other day and the very next day, the dress WITH THE TEAR is back on rack. I noticed the same items with stain and dirt being back, too. Employees's attitude is snotty, cold, and unwelcome a lot of times. Maybe because they are understaffed but they would look at customers with their cold face. It looks like they really really hate their jobs. I understand retail is not a pleasant industry but it's their job to create a more welcome atmosphere. I am shook when I point out the tear of the dress and an employee just gave a cold look and said:"so you don't want that dress?". Of course I don't, it's torn ! I love ZARA style, ZARA fashion but I haven't been to single store in my area that I don't feel like I'm not welcomed. It is definitely bigger than Bellevue. pros: trendy work clothes and coats - reasonable price -okay quality Cons- employees are not friendly and somewhat gives you the weird look when you ask for size or help -chaotic and busy. They closed down all 3 other registers and only left 1 open so there is a long time to wait when checking out -some sizes are missing and some clothes are not coordinated. Everything was everywhere. This is not a bad review about any of the stores but the online ordering process. First of all I ordered a topcoat size based on the company's experience with my weight and height and what others had ordered with the same weight and height. The topcoat arrived and was really cute but it's GIANT. So I asked for a return label and returned it. When I called the company to track the return they said they had no record of the tracking number. Then I called the post office and they said that Zara uses a third party for their returns and it's basically a less expensive way for them to go and the package could take weeks to get processed. Meanwhile, I returned another item to an entirely different company and it was processed and put back into my account in just 10 days. This is just good customer service...don't make your customers wait and they'll come back. I shop online exclusively and doubt very much I will purchase anything online from Zara again. The 2 stars are for the style of the coat. If they had a better, more modern approach to their return process I would probably order the coat in a smaller size. Not now. read more

I have bought some nice clothes at Zara before and found a couple of nice jackets today. The sales staff is very spotty though. I don't know what is with White women staff there, they feel the need to be rude and condescending to people of color. The one checking me out behaved like I didn't exist when I was in line and then didn't greet me, didn't bother to fold my jackets just rolled them up and threw them in a bag and was generally pretty offensive. I've never lived in a city with a Zara store. I've ordered two winter coats for under $300 (combined) from Zara when I lived in Cleveland and I still love them. And for that price? Yep. So, you can imagine my excitement when I moved here and found out there is a Zara within walking distance. YAS. Zara is great for some investment pieces without the investment piece price tag. However, quality and durability has been iffy for me with some pieces. Zara is also REALLY great for trendy pieces you don't want to invest lots of money in. The selection is vast, so expect to spend some time there. Somethings I didn't love: - Not a lot of help around - Missing small sizes in almost everything I wanted. Coming from LA I loved Zara, but poor competency makes this place a nightmare. Avoid the shoulder length brunette that's fair skin at the cashier. She should really be folding clothes in the back because she's making all of the good sales associate look bad. I asked if I could exchange an item for store credit that I got as a gift (no receipt). Cashier says no, ok no problem. Then I see the sign that says without receipt exchange for current value (which I later see on the back of a receipt as well). I point it out and she dodges 2-3 time then finally says it's possible if I accept the current price ( the price was never a problem, why blatantly lie that it couldn't be done). My new purchases rings up to $50. she says for the gift I want to return/ exchange (12.99) I need to find something else to buy. WHAT? I found $50 worth of things and you want me to find something 12.99 too. She said "you're making it difficult I have to do 2 transaction, one for your return and one for your new purchases ". then apply my return to my new purchases, why do I have to find another item to buy -I'm well above return!! Woah! It took FOREVER for Zara to make its way to the US... and then even longer for it to come to Seattle. Living in Mexico City as a teenager-young adult, I spent many years shopping at Zara's all over the country. When I came back to the US I was super sad to find that Zara at the time only had one store. And it was all the way over in Miami! ::sad face:: Then many years ago I spotted Zara's in other cities and other states (NY, CA). But now we have one in WA and I was so glad to check it out ASAP. What most shocked me about Zara (having not been in one for at least 10 years) was the prices. They're so affordable! I expected a lot of items, whether they were blouses or sweaters or jeans, to be above the $100 mark. Jeans were about $70, lots of tops were $50-70, and even some jackets were under $80! The heavy coats were between about $120-200. Still reasonable. Instead of just browsing I ended up trying on a number of items and walking out of the store with a lot of great stuff. It's not the largest store I've been in but it's got a great layout and is big enough for a lot of items. It's still a new store so it's a big crowded. I found myself waiting to look at some racks because a few other people were there looking ahead of me. Oh well! The only trouble I had was finding the dressing rooms. There was an area toward the back that appeared to be a dressing room but when I approached there was no signage labeling it as such. I peeked my head in and there were about 4 employees all with their backs to me. I started thinking maybe it was just a back room because I stood there for about 1 minute before anyone actually helped me. But once someone noticed I had been there I was quickly ushered into a changing room. Everyone was nice, the clothes were awesome, and again ... the prices are incredibly reasonable. Much cheaper than other stores nearby: Anthropologie, Allsaints, etc. I'd say they're between the prices of Gap and Banana Republic, but more stylish! read more

Drove ALL the way from Lynnwood to pick up a pair of pants that they were supposed to be holding for me per the Lynnwood store, lynnwood called before I left their store to make sure Seattle had them and would hold them. Got to ZARA Seattle at 7:45 - THEY HAD CLOSED THE STORE! Why have operating hours if your going to close 15 minutes prior to the time posted!!! When I finally got someone's attention they let me in and said they had closed early and would NOT retrieve the item that Lynnwood put on hold UNLESS I had the item number because "there is a lot of suits upstairs and we are closed". I've shopped in so many Zaras in Europe, NYC, LA. This one is BY FAR the nicest, cleanest and most professional Zara I've ever been to. I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that they just opened, but I still give them major props for customer service. I used to live in NYC, where there were several Zaras that I would regularly shop in. The clothes are always perfect, but the customer service and product display were always a hot mess. I'm always given enough space to wander and shop, but when I need help I always find someone who actually searches for my size / merchandise: I usually stop a sales associate to help me find my size, and they do it on the spot (I don't think I wait more than 2 minutes). If you have been to any other Zara, you can understand how RARE this is. The sales associates who work in this store are polite, helpful, and so friendly. I'm not sure what everyone is complaining about. Clearly, a lot of people have not shopped in different Zaras, and aren't used to the crappy and mean sales associates who work in most of the locations. To all you Zara NOOBS writing bad reviews about this Zara: Look, if you don't understand fashion and clothes and how AMAZING Zara really is...Then maybe you shouldn't shop here if you think it's too expensive, or don't understand what Zara stands for. I went shopping here and it's my favorite store to shop in Seattle. But, Zara is also expensive but they have good customer service but it's also a crapshoot if they are attentive or not. For example, I was walking around the ground floor with a bunch of stuff I wanted to try on but I couldn't hold much more with my gangly arms. I went to ask a sales rep. if I could put the article of clothing in a dressing room. She said no, they already might be full and we reserve those for people who are already in line. Ummmmm, okay. I kept walking with about 10 items in hand and then she suddenly came after me and said that they could put it on hold at the dressing room until I was ready. Sure! Why not? After brining the clothes home and having my kids try them on I realized that most of them did not fit. This is my first ever yelp review and this momentous occasion is simply to share how frustrated I am with the customer service in this zara! If it weren't for the clothes being cheap yet stylish I wouldn't even bother! Clothes wise - they're pretty good. Id give it 3 to 4 stars. They're reasonably priced with very nice simple elegant designs - pieces I enjoy having in my wardrobe. The make and material is pretty decent as well. It has been worth the lack of customer service to just keep going back. With that in mind, it was this rude brunette girl with a silly baby voice that was the tipping point. She's unhelpful and snotty and I swear as a regular shopper the sight of her makes me cringe. At the cash register the whole time she was helping me she made me feel as though I was so much of an inconvenience to deal with - really?! I'm a paying customer! Try to pretend to at least appreciate our business. There are one or two generally pleasant ones but the majority of them obviously need training in etiquette and manners. They dont offer help, they look past you and generally do not engage customers. Recently,they have made me dread shopping there. They have ruined the shopping experience for me. So if management even cares to read these reviews, please pull these particular staff aside and retrain them!!! Might as well have an empty store with robots - at least those will be efficient and not rude! I've spent plenty of money in your store and I'm not going back in a while. Happened to walk here on Opening Day right before the lunch rush and it was insane! I knew Zara coming to Seattle was a big deal but it was almost overwhelming. Beautiful and well organized layout. Love how there is so much space and a great selection to choose from.
