This location is absolutely horrible. If I were to tell anyone wanting to come here and spend money: DONT. while the clothes may tempt you, the service is absolutely horrendous. First the store is an absolute mess at all hours of the day. But mostly the biggest problem is the staff. And I exempt the sales associates mostly because after I've seen the managers that work there, I feel bad for the people who have to deal with that on an everyday basis including those in the women's department who deal with the Russian ms.trenchbull of a manager . I've never been compelled to write a review much less a discouraging review on yelp before but after my most recent visit I felt I had to contribute and save someone the headache.
The managers that work at this store are the absolute difficult, rude, and unhelpful people I've ever had to deal with and luckily I dealt with almost all of them as I was shopping in every department of the store and had issues in every since department; almost all of them with managers. While I was in the women's section, I picked up a blouse, and saw that it had a huge spot of makeup on it, most likely left by someone trying it on, and I approached the manager (russian, Sandra?) and told her about this, she said she could wipe it off, I told her I'd just like a new one from the back since that was the last one on the hanger, she said that she could not call other stores or do stock checks on sale items (?) and I told her that it was not a sale item and I was fully ready to pay full price but I just didn't want to pay for something that was stained by someone before me. This seemed like a ludicrous concept since she proceeded to give me a confused look and walked away saying that there was nothing else they could do. This particularly angered me because it was not that I was disappointed by the shirt but not once through out that whole interaction did she apologize for this at all, and considering I was spending upwards of a 100 dollars on a polyester blouse I don't think it was too crazy to ask for one without a makeup stain on it. I think it's easy to say I dropped all the other pieces I was going to buy.
Next I went to the kids department, at this point I really should have know better after the horrible experience I had in womens but surely now I know better. I walked into kids and was greeted by a somewhat young girl, with pale skin and dark hair who looked frantic to say the least since there was a large amount of people in the front section of the department and was balancing greeting people, trying to keep the product neat( unlike women's), helping other customers, and overall keeping the store running in the front section of the store. As I walked deeper into the department I noticed there were two other rather petite sales associated "working", they didn't not greet anyone who was surround them, including me, and were both occupied with folding and chatting with each other. I stayed in the section about an hour and neither girls were helping me nor anyone else in the end of the department by the baby clothes. Numerous times I tried to get some help from one of the sales associated in the Baby section, she was not very helpful at all and didn't even seem to know anything about any of the products and quickly said She didn't know what I was talking about when I asked her about a shirt I had seen before and told me (again!) they could not do stock checks or call stores on sale items which my item (again) was not and quickly went back to concentrating on folding which i then had to walk all the way back to the front of the department and ask the associate in the front to help me, when she had well over enough to do already. To me its quite astonishing that while there are three associates on the floor at the same time, only one was interacting with customers and actually being of use while two others where completely obsolete and chatting to each other in Spanish which another somewhat short man in a suit came and started chatting to them in Spanish for almost 20 minutes, (who I later found out was an assistant manager or manager of some sort) in front of customers needing help. As well as the fact that one department ( women's) could be a completely mess and couldn't care less about being clean or neat, while in another department (kids) care so much about neatness to the point where they could care less about helping customers or, at the very least greeting people.
At this point, I won't even bother to share my experience in the men's department. Which I will admit was somewhat better but still horrible.
Here's a tip: please fire or severely go through a retail service and hospitality class for all the managers and teach them to deal with staff.
DONT COME HERE. Spend your money at nordstroms OR ANYWHERE ELSE where service is a priority not an afterthought.
Edit: I visited the store on the 6th of July, a Sunday so considering that it wasn't crazy busy I expected alot more read more
