I absolutely love shopping at Zara. This location was was very spacious. Everything was well and organized. Nothing was out of place. Everything was fully stocked and I was able to find the things I needed. Customer service was great. I was immediately taken care of and staff was friendly. I have found that Zara's jeans fit me so well. They are nice and long just how I need them to be. Most definitely tall girl friendly! I think the value is great. You definition get bad for your buck. But I will say that I find it funny that everything is about $50, there is no in between lol. read more

I visited a Chicago Zara (I live a couple hours away) when I got home and washed the sweater for my daughter it came out with 2 holes (she hasn't even worn it yet). I will never come back to this location. This last time I almost left in tears. The customer service is so terrible. I was looking for mock dress pants that fit like a legging and asked an associate if she had anything in mind. She asked what color I was looking for (black) and went into the back to look. She came out with 2 options in navy blue. I didn't correct her on the color since I still needed to try on and decided if I liked either of them Id ask for them in the correct color. She then informed me that she grabbed them in size small and I replied "perfect!" since that usually is my size. She then looked me up and down and repeated "it's a size SMALL" and I assured her it would work well and she looked me up and down and then walked away. I then ended up going to the fitting room. I had the 2 pants from the associate, a pair of dress pants, and a top. Everything was going well in the fitting room until I attempted to try on the dress pants. The sensor went through the belt and the pants making it fairly difficult to try on. I asked the fitting room attendant if she could remove the sensor so I could try for fit and she refused. This confused me as I have worked in clothing retail for 5+ years and know this isn't a strange demand. At this point I was extremely disappointed. I left with no help from any of the employees feeling like I was not wanted there. Judgmental and lazy doesn't look good in customer service. UPDATE: I have been trying to get ahold of Zara and guess what? There is no available real person to talk to. One of the worst customer stores ever. The store opens 1 hour before the fitting rooms open. So there is usually an hour long line. This make no sense at all. The policy is 6 items at a time. Many mother/daughter go in with 6 items each and switch out 6 for 6. This is normal practicing procedures in all stores. I witnesses several mother daughters doing this in the fitting room and when I took 6 items from my daughters and gave her my 6 items, I was rudely screamed at and physically approached, finger in my face by the attendant. An off-color remark was made that it was obviously these clothes were not for me - due to my size. I am definitely calling corporate to report this location first thing Monday morning, May 9, 2022. I attempted to enter the store at 7:40pm, 20 minutes prior to closing time. I drove 35 minutes to this location to pick up one item from a previous day that I had saw and completely wasted my time. I am so disappointed, and have lost so much respect for Zara, especially this location I have been a retail manager. Wow. I thought I was the only one who had a snotty experience with employees at Zara. Then I go on looking for Zara on yelp and ALL of their stores have a 1 star review. How is that possible if the store has really fashionable clothes and is so popular. I don't shop there regularly but I always stop in whenever I am at Oak Brook mall. I came in on Saturday during the whole Coronavirus paranoia. I saw a nice dress in the window and decided to look for it in the store. I made two rounds making sure I didn't see it. Then I FINALLY see an employee who was putting away clothes. Me: hi, excuse me, can you help me find a dress that's in the window? Employee: which window? Me: your display window. Employee: looks so freaking annoyed by me and says left or right window? Me: now I'm mad because it doesn't matter. I don't remember just please go check. She can easily turn her head to see which window a display dress is. So I said I don't know either left or right Employee: what dress? Me: it's pink or blush like color. Employee: smiles with a smirk and says pink or blush? As if I didn't give her direct hue name Anyway, she finally moves and says they don't have this dress. If she was nicer from the beginning, if would have been fine. But because she was snotty, not polite or welcoming I told her that why would they carry an item on display if it is not available for purchase? She looked at me and no response. I said this is ridiculous and walked away. No sorry, no hi from the beginning, no I can find it online for you etc. just very careless and no fs given again. Then I pick out at least 8 things to try on. I'm walking by dressing rooms and see that all fitting rooms are closed. The cashier looks like she hates her job. I walk up and say I need to try these on and she says fitting rooms are closed. I say that I see that but why? She says "Coronavirus". I'm not going to buy 8 things just to try them on at home and with Zara's sizes, this is the only place where I have to try things right there and then. I put them away and did not buy anything. People should be nicer and have customer service. The thing about the virus I understand. Everyone is freaking out but what does a fitting room have to do with anything? I love Zara! The stores are always huge, with a huge women's section. The clothes are trendy and fit well. There's a great selection of casual and professional clothing, plus everything in between. There always seems to be a sale going on, and there's something here for the whole family. My only constructive criticism for this location is that the baby section isn't plentiful. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!! I came to the store to return a couple of items and was tuned away by a manager. The website says closing was at 6 pm on Sunday, I got there at 5:30pm. There were another person in front of me who was furious because it took him an hour to get to the store to make a return and was also turned away. The manager was very rude was very unapologetic and had a bad attitude. I couldn't believe he was a manager. I came back the following week this time an hour early prior to closing time and was turned away by the same manager. I asked what reason he had, he said it was Mother's Day and they were closing an hour early. I told him that's not what it said on the website. Then he had the audacity to say "you had all day to come to this store". I was appalled by his comment!!!! It was Mother's Day and I just finished Jacinta late lunch with my children. He totally ruined my Mother's Day and could not believe a manager would say something like that to a woman/mother. I told him he turned me away last week so I came back an hour early. I asked for his name and instead of just saying his name he spelled it out as if I trying to confuse me. Well I got it the first time and this manager's name is Gabriel. I called the corporate office to file a complaint. They called me 2 weeks later and said they apologize for the incident and hope I will continue to support their business. They couldn't give me any other information or discuss if they were going to take disciplinary action against the manager. From the conversation I had with the person who called me it didn't seem like they took this seriously not take any disciplinary action. I don't even think the person who called me back was the corporate office manager. There was so many hesitation answering my questions and she surely didn't sound convincing. I told her to Google the Zara Oackbrook location to see for themselves how many complaints written on the review section about the managers. Do not shop at this store! I was there late on a Thursday night (around 8 pm), but this store was a disaster. The clothes were everywhere. Many were hanging off of the hangers or on the floor. Raced to Zara at Oakbrook the other night (Wed Jan 19) with my daughter to return an item. A store employee was at the door and would not let us in. He said they were closed ( it was 7 :20 PM) and I told him the website says open until 8:00 PM. He replied " I know". Deadpan, unemotional, no apology , no explanation. Total asshole. The interview process at the Zara in Oak Brook is as follows - First to even get an interview at this Zara you have to sleep with your best friends boyfriend. The initial interview you have to take money from a homeless person and for the final interview you have to punch a newborn baby in the face... THESE PEOPLE ARE FOUL!!!!! & probably passed that interview process with flying colors. Never in my life has an employee at a store made me cry and I have cried at this Zara THREE TIMES NOW by a different employee each time!!! Also this has nothing to do with Covid - this Zara has ALWAYS been like this and nothing will ever change which is so infuriating because I like the clothes!!!!!!!
