Never gonna come back this location，a black young woman who work here ，she pull the bag with my 3 years old daughter ，said give it to me with no smile ！my daughter was scared ！ I told her that we gonna go to the downstairs to see the kids clothes and pay the money downstairs probably . This store should update their store hours! Came here at 10 am on a Saturday coz that what is says in yelp that they open at 10 am. Decided to be there on time to avoid overcrowded people but they were atill close! They open at 11 am! That is such a waste of my time! Horrible! Poor management'! read more

I had bought a bomber jacket for my finance over the holidays. Come to find someone else bought it for him as well. Because of COVID-19, I wasn't able to get to a store within the 30days of purchasing the jacket. However, when I did get to a store (about 33days after purchase) I was told that they couldn't accept the return In-Store but if I called a customer service number they would be able to create a return slip and I could ship it to a store for return or exchange. I left the store and called this number. They said there was nothing they could do for me. In the middle of a pandemic, I would expect a company of this size to have better return guidelines and communication with it's staff/customers. I'm disappointed in the company and don't intend on shopping here any longer. These are trying times where every $ counts and now I am stuck with a $100 jacket. read more

do not shop here. all online orders must be returned within 30 days of ordering. so that means you basically have less than 3 weeks since you have to wait for delivery. no store credit. nothing. im boycotting this stpre and i hope that everyone else learns that this is a scam return policy. i ordered 32 days ago and cannot return or exchange for anything with a receipt. screw them. read more

Absolute worst customer service and return policy. Had to drive back and forth multiple times trying to return something. A complete waste of my time. They don't make it easy to exchange or return so beware. read more

If I could give this store a zero I would. They make it literally impossible to buy something. Dressing room line was an hour long and then the line to pay was another hour. They can keep their trendy cheap ass clothes. Don't wait your time. read more

I love the clothing however the last couple of time there is always something missing in my bag .I was there on 01/04/22 and the cashier did not put my purse in the bag and I did not realize it until I got home .I called back for days and no one will pick up the phone .That is not how you run a business. I'm at the point now that I will not go back . Don't shop here. read more

Costumer services was terrible. The cashier was so rude. Very disappointed at how disrespectful they are to their customers.

Wish I could give this place a zero. Never going back, I hate that this store is closest to home. Just spent 40 minutes in the return line; there were only 4 people in front of me too! Forget about trying anything on because it will take you at least an hour and one of the employees will probably be a dick to you in the process. There's dozens of employees walking around yet the place looks like forever 21. Do better come on read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE, The staff is absolutely terrible. The managers are the worst I have three open files with Zara headquarters right now to complain about these issues, I have thousands of dollars in clothes that they have refused to let me return. I bring in receipts and the card they were purchased done. The staff is lazy and absolutely rude for how much money I spend here I would like to think I'd be treated better. Save your money don't shop here. read more

I purchased an item a day before the sale. I asked online chat if they do price adjustments. they informed me no, BUT I can return the item and repurchase it at a store as long as its within the return policy (which it was). So as informed online I went to Oakbrook to do so. I waited for over 30 minutes in line (the line is always ridiculous). finally, once I reached the register I was told that I was "misinformed". that I couldn't repurchase the item because they had to hold it for 24 hours. I thought it was a joke. I asked how come and if its stated anywhere. They said that thats just their store policy and that it is NOT stated anywhere. So I asked since its not stated anywhere and I was told I could by a employee on online chat if they could make an exception. I mean c'mon, I waited in line, the item is sold out, it was a $40 difference, and it was a mad house in there. NOPE! Nothing. They said if I really wanted it to come back the next day and hope they still have it since they can't put it on hold either. It baffles me how Zara employees enjoy to make things difficult for you. You should of seen the look on both ladies at the register. They were really enjoying the fact of making it extra complicated. It was beyond disturbing. I mean the thrill they were having was just ... unbelievable. This company should really take a look at this location. The store is a mess, absolutely disgusting, employees are insanely rude, the lines are ridiculous, and there is no enforced social distancing in the lines. read more

The people that work here a rude and do not care about the customers. Waiting over an hour and did not even get to exchange my item. they turned me down for a exchange with an item that was brand new and all the tags on and they refused to let me exchange for just a different color of jeans. they are ridiculous. I then called the customer service because they told me to, and on the phone I was told that the cashiers are supposed to let me exchange The jeans for the same style just different color. MANAGER REFUSED AFTER I GAVE HER MY CONFIRMATION FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE. do not shop here!!!! read more

I always find classy, trendy clothing here at great prices. Never had issues with employees and I've been going here for years. People that give low ratings here on yelp for this store need to A) Read the print on your receipts for return policy, and B) If you question the store hours online then call the store directly: Especially during holidays and Covid in general. Reading is fundamental. I've bought a lot, and returned a lot here with absolutely no issues. Maybe because I read return policies and call stores during holidays for accurate info? Save your sob stories and complaints to corporate for another day because you're inept at reading clearly-stated policies, and using common sense. read more

So I was super excited to get a Zara in this area but I forget what comes with it... A bunch of Im too busy doing who know what to help you service. Everyone is so nice at the other store at this mall, so is it how they train their staff at Zara or is it because their clothes will sell themselves? Super useless people working there with an attitude if you even ask a question. Even bigger attitude to return things and I probably wont have to return it if they helped me with opening up a fitting room for me to try it on the first place. read more

Who designed this crap? I will attempt to give you ideas as to what their designs look like. 1). Take a bunch of fabric and blindly cut it up. Now stitch it together, put a price tag on it and see who buys it. 2). Let's intentionally design clothes that look horrible, and laugh as we see idiots buying this crap. 3). Let kids live their dreams of designing clothes, and then put it in a store and sell it. 4). Keep ready my Yelp, because you really don't like Zara.... Just take my advice and don't even go in there....you might throw up just a little read more

The place is trashed waited in fitting room line for 30 minutes. Staff is rude and checkout line is another 30 minute wait.

Worst customer service I have ever had in my life!!! Their phones don't work (called 3 days in a row) to see if they had an item. Go in and couldn't help me with something as simple as a perfume! Then preceded to give me attitude because their phones didn't work and they were out of everything. They couldn't help me or didn't even bother to. read more

I was in a Zara store located in Chicago. The jeans i bought don't fit. i don't live near a store to return them. i have talked to customer service and they said i can't return them online. The staff here are extremely rude to the customers. They don't have respect and treat the customers poorly. The lines are long to try on and long to purchase. I waited 30 minutes to try on and 40 minutes to buy my clothes. By the time I got to the cashier, I didn't want to purchase anything anymore because it took so long. Save yourself a headache and purchase online or head to another location with better customer service and shorter lines! read more

Horrible customer service experience. Sold us a damaged item and wouldn't accept it back. The manager said that the policy was that they don't accept damaged items. Seems that it's acceptable to sell damaged products. We came back to return it within the nominal 30 day period. Manager of the store was extremely rude and asked us to get out of the store. Then called the police and we filed a report. Filed a complaint to Zara corporate as well. Worst shopping experience we have had so far. Still have the item and didn't get any refunds. read more

This review is based the return policy which is outdated for the current environment. I tried to return a purchase after 33 days and was told store credit was the only option. Given customers can't try on clothing and the wait to checkout or make a return is at least 30 minutes the return policy needs to be revised with the customer in mind. Worst customer service I seen in a long time. I also contacted Zara customer service and was given no help. The clerk that helped me said he was confronted by customers that were upset with the return policy daily so this is not an isolated occurrence. Hope this saves someone else some aggravation. read more

I honestly love their clothes, but the employees are so rude that I refuse to buy from them. The guy in the dressing room handed me a number and told me to put everything back on hanger and bring back to him when finished. Isn't that his job? They are awful. The employees downstairs in the children's section were friendlier - hence 2 stars. I have been to this location a few times and it's always the same - they are consistently rude! read more

This is the laziest Zara I've been to in the world. The staff always closes early, today they closed because " they didn't have enough employees" 3 hours early. This is the 5th time the manager comes out while I'm in line and says sorry we're closing. Why not tell us that before. Why make people stand in line for 30 min and then tell them they won't be let in. And why close 3 hours early because you don't have enough employees? You could have just controlled the line better. Every time I come the manager closes at least 15-20 min early. The manager is beyond rude, he is entitled and thinks he's running the corporation. read more

Finally! I've been counting down the days till a Zara would open up in the west burbs. This location seems to have a better stock than the downtown Zara; def a better selection of clothes. My only problem with it is I have an urge to overbuy and over spend - wuh-oh. Side note: they're tremendously understaffed... There was only one Chatty Cathy cashier and the line quickly grew longer and longer... read more

Downstairs in the men's department and the black guy with the red die in his hair is extremely rude and unprofessional. I was next in line and there were two cashiers working. At the time there was no on in line buy myself. After 7-10 mins waiting now there's about 4-5 people behind me. The lady behing me goes around me forms her own line. The black guy was taking a long time helping his customer and once he's finally done he tells me the line is over there. I tell him, "negative" I'm next! He says, yea ok! He helps me then once I bring out cash he says I'm not taking cash and tells his partner to help me. As I'm walking out I notice I was charged $90 for a pair of shoes that says $45. I go back to ask why was i charged that amount, the black isnt helping anyone and says to his partner, can you help him? Totally making it personal now! I asked for his name and his colleague he said he couldnt give it to me. I then ask to speak to a manager and they tell me that there's no manager on the floor! Yeah ok. Totally unprofessional. This happened Friday 4/7/23 around 3pm. read more

I usually love shopping at Zara, staples and trendy items. But post COVID this store has been one mess after another. You are not allowed to try anything on, but then they make returns impossible! I bought a few clothes for my wife out of which a pants and sweater were not to her liking. When we went to exchange it for different clothes, they stated that they can only exchange them for same style but different color or size without the receipt. Obviously I didn't had a receipt. The new location in Oak Brook is definitely bigger than other locations but the service is terrible. I ordered an online package and had it shipped to the store. After receiving an email that my order was ready for pickup, I went over the store only to find that they couldn't locate my package and rudely told me to purchase it again. I tried calling back after a few weeks and they said they found it but when I returned to the store, it took them almost an hour to locate the package again. On top of everything, there was only one person at front desk for check-out and the line was ridiculously long. Terrible service. read more

It is not surprising to see all the bad reviews. I loved coming to this Zara, but this past weekend I had an awful experience. I bought these jeans there a while ago and I lost the receipt, I did not want my money back but just exchange for something else in the store. I picked up $100+ worth of clothing with full intent to purchase. It was a busy Saturday and I waited at least 30 minutes in line only to be treated horribly by the super rude and unpleasant staff. I left humiliated, angry and with the stupid jeans... I even still purchased from them because of the long line and the long wait time... They were not sympathetic or understanding at all by my situation and tossed all my stuff to the side. I could not believe I was being treated this way by these employees... They said they could not do anything for me even though THE JEANS I BOUGHT WERE NOT IN THE STORE. Zara does not care about its customers and has the lowest expectations for their rude employees. I am definitely never going to be shopping with Zara again and I will be telling everyone about this awful store and its awful employees. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE AND AVOID THIS STORE AND ITS SICK EMPLOYEES. read more

Found a pair of pants I really liked and were an xs im normally a medium so I tried them on and they fit but were a bit snug and I wanted to see if maybe they had a medium or anything I have the app so I scanned it and it said they had a medium and a large in stock I asked the sales associate I saw and she said we only have one of each we looked at each other for a few seconds and I said so they could be anywhere and she said yea thank you in a snarky tone the least I expected was a let me ask the fitting room to check or anything like that but I got nothing from asking if they could find another size.i regretfully bought the pants bc I needed them last minute when I didn't really want to give them my money after this. I work retail and we always try to find the item the customer is looking for but I received 0 help which sucks also working in the same mall as them I've had customers complain to me that they're closed or only allowing returns I've gone in about 1 hour before close and half the store is blocked off which makes no sense i get it's a pain to close a messy store but give it at least ten minutes before to close half the store down. I wish there was a way to contact the store directly with a review so they would see it and actually care about it and fix it. read more

I was attempting to make a return in the children's section at the Zara's Oakbrook mall location yesterday. I usually like shopping at Zara's but left feeling like I was just put in a very risky covid virus exposure situation. They only have one cashier checking out customers while the lines are backed up almost across the store on a busy weekend. It is very disappointing to see that they allowed the lines to get so long and just wouldn't add more check out cashiers to help customers social distance instead of waiting close up to other patrons for almost 20 mins in line. read more

This review is solely based off of my experience just now. Zara is always busy on the weekends which is expected. That's no problem at all. While waiting in line while guests at the register makes complicated requests and hold up the line even longer, I witness a woman ask if she can return something to a card that is not the one used to purchase the item. It was her husbands card. The cashier says not usually, but she Will call a manager to be sure. The manager comes over and the cashier explains that the woman says the card used is linked to the same the account of the original card. Without question, he makes the exception. I walk up to the register next to the lady and want to make a return. I purchased with Apple Pay as I've been trying to do less contact payments and I have my receipt. I realized as I was making the return I left my phone at work. The cashier called over the same manager that just made an exception not even 2 minutes earlier. I explained I just got off of work and must have left my phone, but the card, which I have on me linked to my Apple Pay is the same account. He says "you're gonna gonna need that." I tried to be reasonable and explain it's the same account and that I just waited in this long line. He wasn't willing to help. I didn't mention how he literally just made the same exception to the lady still standing next to me. I went and grabbed my phone and came right back. I understand if you are following a policy, but don't make an exception for one person and not the next. Be consistent. read more

If it were possible to give zero stars, I would. The customer service is horrible, and the management staff at this location is rude. I bought clothes about a month ago for my daughters. Despite the fact that Zara corporation has had fitting rooms open since July, I was told my teen daughters were not allowed to try anything on (?), so I bought everything. Of course some pieces didn't work. My girls tried returning them 2 weeks later, and they wouldn't let them since they didn't have my actual card. Who even does that anymore? Every store I know, just puts it back in the credit card. I am an essential worker and have been pulling 70 hour work weeks. When I finally made it to the store, I was told I was past 30 days, and would not be given a refund, only a store credit. I was at 32 days. Only 2 days later. Then, the assistant manager lied to me when I asked to talk to her manager as I was beyond frustrated. She continued to lie to me, and she had an attitude the whole time. I will never step foot in this store again. If my teens want to, they will have to use their own money. This is literally the most upsetting and rude interaction I have ever had with a store. read more

Went in to return my online order items that didn't fit and purchase new items. Return was easy as they opened a new return register downstairs as I was walking in the store. The fitting room situation is a disaster, the line was super long just like it was when I was there 2 weeks ago. I waited in line for like 20min before seeing the 6 item try on sign. I tried on my top 6 items and they held my other 3 items on the side, there was no ability to try those 3 on after my 6. The lady behind me was told 6 item try on per person. Ok I thought no big deal for me, 2 were T-shirt's and 1 was a blazer. I could just try on the blazer on the main floor. I walked out to the middle of the store after trying on my 6 items and put my purse on the ground in front of the mirror and tried on the blazer to see which size I needed when all of a sudden a security guard approaches me and says "looks good, only problem is you can only try it on in the fitting room" I said I was already in there. I didn't realize I was doing anything wrong. How do you buy a blazer/coat in that store? It's ridiculous to have to stand in line for something so simple. I was literally in the mirror next to the long dressing room line by the register plus everything in there has a million security tags! Many people expressed their annoyance with the fitting room situation. Many even left the line and put their clothes on the nearest rack and gave up. How are you supposed to buy something without trying it on in a store where some things run small and others large. What a flawed system! read more
