I only own 2 Coach items. A backpack and a skirt. I'm not a big Coach fan, but I recognize that their products are making a bit of a comeback in the handbag industry. In this economy, when luxury handbags are unaffordable for most of the population, Coach is considered affordable luxury. While I really dislike how many of their products have the logo splashed all over, their leather bags are actually made really well. Don't totally sleep on them. They're at least worth a look and they aren't covered with the cringy signature C. I really love the travel backpack. It's well constructed and one of the best I've ever purchased. It'll be a favorite for a long time. I also love the skirt I bought. It is constructed so well and fits beautifully. It's fully lined and a classic style that will never go out of style. My husband came to your store after work on Thursday March 2nd between 1-3pm he said no other customers were in your store but him. None of your employees approached him while he was in store to help him or ask him if he needed anything. Did my husband come in with paint on his clothes and shoes - YES and he probably did not look like he had money. Little did your employees know he owns a business and was ready to drop $500+ on my birthday gift! Instead he got dirty looks, no assistance, and was not even acknowledged. Came to make a return for a wallet I bought. Despite the many workers making the line to checkout go by smoothly, the direct service was not the same. I've had to "make an account" everytime I've come here (even to purchase the wallet to begin with) but my number never has an account associated with it the next time I return. The person helping us was in a bad mood and reluctant to help us with the return. He made no effort to provide a positive experience and was short with us during the entire transaction. Definitely a cool place to be... We were in for Christmas shopping and was looking for a nice backpack for my dad. So this is the second store in my list for "Nice" man backpacks. So I find one,, there's prolly only 3 left on the floor. I asked for someone to get me the model that's all the way on the top of the display cabinets. The one that's far from reach of anybody else. So, if you are in the market for a new Coach purse this is definitely the place to go! I did my research before going here. I want to address the issue of the "outlet" model purses. A lot of the purses sold here are a special "coach line" that are cheaper in price. They are just as pretty, great quality, and great selection. The staff at the store are honest about the which line the purse are from, and are incredibly helpful with any questions or needs you might have. However, I personally prefer the regular "Coach" line, so lucky me, they also sell a smaller selection of those. These are typically purses that did not sell fast enough at there regular store. I was able to find some great purses at 40% discount. Not only that , they had a sale of 30% off the day I went. It was great! But be warned, on sales dates, the store is incredibly busy! I could never bring myself to pay full price for one of these bags, but I do recognize that they are well made and can be quite useful. Some designs leave me baffled, but every now and then I fall in love a little bit. From what I could tell, none of the bags have defects. They are probably just surplus and/or from previous seasons. Nothing wrong with that. My friend tells me a majority of the products are made specifically for the outlet, which kind of defeats the purpose... Love the bags - hate the shoppers. So many shoppers that this store has to have a line that is watched by employees and security guards. I've heard that heated arguments take place on Black Friday. Nothing so crazy happened the day I was there, but you had to claim your bounty before someone else snatched it. I'm not a claustrophobic person, but after ten minutes I needed to pay for my goods and get out. It was all too much excitement. Everyone gets 20% off of their entire purchase. Went on the weekend during one of their regular 30% off everything coupon sales and it was a madhouse. For crowd control, they had people waiting behind the velvet rope outside and only let more people in as other people left the store. Overall, for a Coach Outlet, this location is very small. They have all of the men's items in a separate location down a different corridor and it was completely deserted. What they should do is get unit that is twice as larger. Put the men's stuff in one corner, and have almost twice as much room for the ladies stuff. That's the way they do it in other locations like Las Vegas. I couldn't find anything I liked and left. I almost never leave a Coach Outlet empty-handed, so that's telling you something. Oh, and it was nearly impossible to find a parking spot in the mall lot.... it was packed! read more

This place in insane! Waiting in the January cold outside in lines that go as far as the eye can see! Well, not quite that far, but still the lines outside just to get inside the store are long! When visiting a few days ago, we waited in the roped off area for about forty five minutes. It could have been worse. Once we were inside, we didn't feel rushed, but there is so much to look at. Take your time and take advantage of the deals. There are plenty of them! There are a ton of employees working here just waiting to help you find what you're looking for. This was a definite plus. I paid about one-third of the retail price. I couldn't be happier with my find! I wouldn't hesitate to shop here again. I just wanted to let you guys in on something that I just found out recently while taking my wife to the Coach Outlet Store. There seems to always be a sale going on. She got like 50% off an item that was already at clearance price. It was like getting 80% off that item. We were really excited that there was a sale going on, so we bought two purses. But, the thing is, there's always a sale. Sometimes they will stop people from going in at a certain time (it varies when), just to build up a line outside... Making everyone there think there is some special event going on. I use to walk by the place pretty often and always wondered why there was a line at 7pm on a Tuesday... this is the reason. To Hype! Not to say you shouldn't buy something from there, just wanted everyone to know the secret. If I would have known we might have only bought one purse and not two. Also, customers here be good to each other... there's no reason to get crazy or rude with somebody just because it's a sale. Sure, they hand you a 20% coupon upon walking in, but the merchandise is not extraordinary, and the prices are pretty damn close to retail. Finally visited the outlet yesterday and immediately began having heart palpitations...could not believe my eyes. I was given a 30% coupon at the door, great clearance, wristlets at 30 and 40 bucks, clearance nice, big bags, lots of signatue C's. Some ugly stuff, but thats to be expected. Nice keyfobs for $19, umbrellas, jewelry, etc. True, there was a little bit of a wait in line, but it wasn't a big deal, possibly considering I was there on a Sunday night. I too would suggest a partner to hold your bags for you and agree with the previous post that if you are thinking about a purchase, grab it and hold onto it, otherwise it will not be there when you go back. All in all, i got a leather black Carly, and a siggy khaki and pink medium size tote, and black siggy wristlet for $264, which easily I could have paid for one bag at Coach. True, no dust bag, which I didn't like, but overall, an awesome fun experience, the staff is very nice and helpful and I can't wait to go back and do some more damage. read more

I'm not an outlet mall superfan nor am I a Coach addict, but I accompanied my Coach addicted companion to the store in search of yet another Coach bag to add to her ever growing collection of leather goods. On a Friday afternoon the store was packed yet manageable with ladies lured in by the "take an additional 50% of handbags and 65% of clearance" sign hanging in the window. A nice selection of marked down Coach bags (both fabric and leather, with and without that giant, repetitive C pattern) and good customer service (appreciate the staff walking around with price scanners so you aren't forced to do mental math while shopping), this store was surprisingly a good shopping experience. Scored two leather bags and paid less than 1/3rd the MSRP on each of them. If you love Coach then this IS the place for you. I imagine the weekends can get crazy, so would recommend shopping during the weekend. The lines move slo-wly, primarily due to impulse shoppers who get a bit crazy and purchase enough handbags to outfit their local girl scout troop. read more

I do have to admit, I'm a college student with a lower end budget but I HATE they way the DETERMINE the second I step in the store, "Oh, she's a bad customer who won't buy anything" I actually went to this store in two different occasions with friends both from Japan who both ended up buying $250 worth of stuff there. (and I also planned of buying something for $100) SAD part is, we never got a "Hi" or "Do you have any help?" or any service from anyone while we were there. There was a line to enter the store. I guess it's common. On one hand it sucks waiting in line, but on the other hand, the store is less full. A lot of other stores get ridiculously packed, along with the tight layout it's a pain to get in and out. So this was kinda nice. I like this place because it has a lot of options and it's fairly cheap. I think. I don't know what the normal prices are, but they seem to have good % off deals. So I'll just go with that. I usually get into line soon after entering and tell my wife she has to pick something out before I get to the front. I shop at both the coach men's and women's factory stores quite often in Rosemont and love it. I prefer the mens store over the women's due to the leather items and things that are not in crazy colors. Of all the coach factory stores I have been to, I would rank this one the highest. Don't get me wrong, I have had good experiences at other coach stores but I just enjoy the Rosemont stores and the sales folks. They are very nice and helpful. Not only are they very knowledgable about their products, they are always great to give a suggestion, to point out special items, will look in the back for other merchandise of interest, sign you up for special sales and also, they do not have a problem calling another store to find something that you want. after shopping here and spending way too much money over the years, a horrible store manager, Daniella, has me rethinking if I'll ever step foot in there again. bought a travel backpack and they had a travel pillow in it. got home, no pillow. Danielle told me that everyone knows the pillow is used to make the bag stand. Asked her how everyone knows since there are no signs stating that and the cashier never mentioned it, she said people who shops there know. I told her I didn't know and she then said, you obviously don't shop here. I have probably purchased over 100 items from there and if you have something for display, that it's included. she then told me we weren't going to get anywhere on the phone and told me to have a nice day, 3 different ways with a rude and ignorant tone and hung up. no customer service skills. coach needs to train their managers better cause like I said, I will probably never buy from them again. read more

I give it 4 stars mostly because it's Coach so it's awesome by default. However, the outlet itself is a bit of a nightmare. I've had a few brushes with death when I'm there and as a result, I drag my boyfriend with me everytime...partly to hold the purses I like and partly to be my bodyguard from crazy women. Don't expect to go in there and get a purse for $10 bucks. It's still Coach, it's still gonna be more than you would find in, say Walmart but the quality, even at the Outlet, is the best. These are my tips for visiting this Coach outlet store: -Arrive when the mall first opens. The stores get so packed and sometimes it takes 30 minutes alone to get through the line. -If you find a purse or any other item that you think you might buy, pick it up and then make your decision before you check out and put down what you aren't actually gonna buy. Take it from me, if you put something down, it's probably not going to be there if you change your mind to get it. -When they ask you for your email address, don't tell them you are already on the list or some other pathetic lie. GIVE them your email address. The only way to sign up for coupons directly from the store is by giving it to them at the outlet. I contacted Coach directly to get on the list and this is what I was told by a representative. It's true that you don't need to print the coupon because they always hand them out in the store. I just like to receive the emails so I know when the sales are and so I can plan my trip accordingly because its a 1.5 hour drive...which leads me to my next point: -Only go when there's an additional 20%. It happens so frequently..It's usually at least 2 weekends out of the month but it comes in spurts. Sometimes they will have them every weekend for a few months straight then they will just stop. I wasn't always so wise though because I ended up having such a Coach withdrawal that I went without my coupon and the next weekend they ended up offering the coupon. A lot of people don't like the Coach outlets because most purses here are made by Coach specifically for the outlet and are not the purses sold in the retail stores. It doesn't bother me personally but if it concerns you, let me share my knowledge. If you look on the inside of the purse, there will be the Coach patch with its serial number. If in the 2nd set of numbers it has an "F" that means Factory and that is a purse that was made directly for the outlet. From what I've heard, there are only a few "deletes" from the retail stores. Like I said, it doesn't bother me but I know some people can be finicky about that. I've never had any problem with anyone that works there. They really don't seem pushy to me but it's mainly because there are a trillion people packed into the tiny space and they are just trying to make sure that everyone finds what they came for. I have approximately 10 Coach purses from the Outlet and I have never spent more than $150 on any of them. If I pick a purse that is on the additional 50% off rack and bring my additional 20% off coupon, I can usually get out of there with a purse for around $60-90 for a Signature purse. (I don't have any of their leather purses, so I could not tell you the prices on that.) I hope you can tell from my review I will definitely be going back. read more

I purchased a leather color block off-white/yellow Coach Factory bag online and I noticed a sizeable scratch on it. I called the Coach Aurora store yesterday to ask whether I could do an exchange at their store. The associate said they would be more than happy to exchange the bag for one in store. Satisfied, I set for Coach Aurora yesterday evening with my damaged bag, original tag and receipt in hand. Once at Coach Aurora, a store that I was already very fond of, I was greeted with an "entire store on sale" handout. Being sane as I am, I had no choice but to shop. Dillan (Assoc.) approached me in the expected friendly, genuine, Coach way. In fact, I was looking for a very specific type of bag - Dillan searched high and low for something that might fit the bill, bless his heart, but, unfortunately, the search goes on. As I continued shopping, Amanda (Assoc.) approached me. She was likewise very amiable and supplied instant answers to my questions. I showed Amanda my bag and stated I wished to exchange it. She regretfully informed me my bag is available online only and I would be unable to exchange it for the same one in store. How disappointing! Alas, at right about 10:00 pm - closing time - I was ready to check out (I was never once pressured to wrap it up; on the contrary, everyone was friendly/helpful until the last second). Dillan dutifully led me to the last open register, and I asked him about the Coach leather moisturizer and cleaner. He explained both to me. Sold! I mentioned that I would use the moisturizer on the wallet I was buying my mother. Maria (Mngr) overheard and offered to moisturize, wrap and box it up. She showed me the wallet post-moisturizing, and I was tres impressed! While we were on the topic, I took out my bag and asked Dillan whether the moisturizer might repair the damage. Dillan wasn't sure, so he asked Gabby (Mngr). Gabby frowned at the bag and frankly said the scratch was beyond anything the moisturizer could alleviate. Woe is me! Dillan then went to the back hoping the same bag, in a different color, might be available; lamentably it wasn't. What more could have been done? Everyone was working away and otherwise being pleasant and helpful to me, the last customer of the night, when... "Hey, look at this!" Britney C. (Assoc.) had a big smile on her face and was holding a brand new leather color block off-white/yellow bag - my bag! I almost fainted. We all collectively rejoiced. By the time everything was said and done, it was nearly 10:30 pm. You see, not only did I receive top-notch customer service - the associates and managers that I had the pleasure of working with clearly went above and beyond the call of duty - but I also found some amazing bags at amazing prices! Loyal customer, anyone? Why, yes! Right here! Again, thank you to everyone involved - Gabby, Maria, Amanda, and my superstars of the night, Dillan and Britney - I am forever grateful for your determined efforts to help one solitary customer. My name is Carol and I am addicted to Coach. For me, the outlet is a great chance to get something at a fraction of the cost as a full retail priced store. Yes, there is stuff here that's obviously made specifically for the outlet and will never see the inside of a retail store but there has been some stuff that is over stock or last season's merchandise that is no longer sold, so it goes to the outlet. I like to hit the clearance area. Its 50 percent off the lowest price and if you get lucky, they are handing out coupons for an extra 30 percent off when you walk in. I never experienced the horrible customer service that a few of the other reviews mentioned. Everyone who has helped me had always been very nice and accommodating. As mentioned before, this place gets crowded, like Disney on spring break. During the holiday season and 3 day weekends (think Presidents Day, Memorial Day, and Labor Day) there will be a line out the door just to get in. I drove to the Coach Factory store in Aurora tonight to return two items I'd purchased online. After waiting with the holiday-season shoppers, I finally got called to the cashier. I handed her my mail-order packing slip/invoice (dated 11/23/2012), which was stapled to my online Coach Factory receipt. I also gave her the return merchandise. The cashier entered, deleted, re-entered and deleted for a good 25 minutes - she was having trouble with making her entries "match" my receipt (Note to Coach - fix that!). I people-watched. Finally, her cash register equaled my receipt. That's when the cashier said, "OH! You paid with Paypal. I can only give you a merchandise credit." No. I explained that I live a 1/2 mile from a Coach full-price store and could have gotten a merchandise credit there (see the Coach Factory website), but I wanted my money back. This requires a trip to the Factory store with the "packing slip" (again, see the Coach Factory website) or return-by-mail. The cashier explained that "due to fraud" the store can't refund Paypal transactions. We went back and forth about that. She said she'd ask the manager. She did, and came back with the bad news. I told her that the manager should come on out and talk to me. The manager came out and told me that Coach Factory online sales are only done through eBay and that's why they take PayPal, but don't refund Paypal returns. I don't know about you, but Coach Factory sends me emails about four times a week and it is not coming from eBay. I told her so. She disagreed. The manager advised me to call Coach Customer Service. I reminded her that as the Coach Factory Manager, she IS Coach Customer Service. She insisted that she could not help me. Policy = Merchandise Credit if I used Paypal. May I remind you that the transaction cleared on 11/23/2012? Seriously, this is silly. I suggested that she might tell her own manager that they should add that information to their website instead of touting the simplicity of returns at the Factory Store. I also showed her (from my phone) the online transaction of cash being transferred directly to the Coach Factory site from my bank account via Paypal (mind you, this is for under $200). The manager said that she understood my frustration, but that this is their policy. At this point, I was both disgusted and angry. I raised my voice when I refused (again) the offer of a merchandise credit. She asked me to lower my voice. I was ready to leave. That is when I said to the cashier, "just give me the purses," and she told me to (sit down), "ask nicely" and she'd give them to me. I started yelling then. I made a fool of myself, you guys. I told the cashier she was obnoxious. I told her manager that I couldn't believe she let her employees talk that way. I asked the cashier if she could read, because who in the world takes 25 minutes to realize there's a big yellow Paypal symbol on the receipt...I embarassed myself. Normally I don't point out others' deficiencies. I walked out and immediately called the Coach Factory Customer Service. I spoke to a lovely woman named Pilar who said that the Aurora Store sucks and that everyone at Coach Factory knows it. No, not really...Pilar actually said that she was sorry and asked for details. She said that I could return my two bags by mail (they'd pay shipping) and get my money credited in 4-6 weeks. I told Pilar that it's a shame that they are losing a Coach customer for less than $200. There is a Michael Kors outlet directly across from Coach Factory. If you're making a trip out to the Outlet Mall, anyway, I suggest that store. For the same money, you'll get a top-quality bag and decent service. read more

I recently visited the Coach men's outlet and the experience was fine minus our interaction with the bald self entitled ass that masqueraded as a sales associate. I understand you might feel inferior living and working in the suburbs of Chicago but don't put your lack of education and skills into the customers asking for help.
