My friend and I were making use of the shiatsu massage chairs in front of the establishment. There was a sign on the desk stating that one of the workers would be back in fifteen minutes. One person went in, then another a few minutes later, then another. A total of six people went into the Zara Brow Bar only to find NO ONE inside. One poor girl went in four times and found no one inside. Finally, more than 20 minutes later, a female worker shows up, bags and cell phone in hand. She had been shopping. I can understand the allure of working at a large shopping establishment, but if you're going to be out for more than 15 minutes, lock the doors. read more

On my way to Philly and in desperate need of a brow shaping I decided to stop off at the Exton mall. That was my first mistake, as the parking lot was a disaster. The mall itself, if you've never been, is like the labyrinth with crappy maps. After going up and down the stairs and all around I finally found the brow bar. At this time I was the only customer but I saw that they were cash only so then I go on another journey to the atm where I see there's a lovely $4 surcharge. So now my brow experience is up to $15... after my journey back to the brow bar I see there's now a wait. I finally get my turn in the chair and it goes quickly, though the lady looks at me like I have two heads when I show her the one area that I don't want threaded since I am trying to grow them in. They do very good shaping, BUT every single time I go I leave with rips/cuts on the sensitive part of my eyelid....as well as there always being an excess of hairs that they don't do leaving me to have to pluck them out with tweezers when I get home. That part I can deal with, but not the constant scabbing on my eyelids.. read more

I've been here many times, mostly because it's the closest threading salon to my house. They get the job done here, but the service is never good. For example, the employees regularly talk on the phone (and not to other customers- long, personal calls) while threading. It's difficult to distinguish whether they're talking to you or someone on the other end of the line. There have also been several times when the next customer has been called up so quickly after I'm done that I don't get the opportunity to expect the job in the mirror first- the mirror is never handed to me. There are usually some stray hairs left so that's a little frustrating too. In a pinch, I'll still go here, but I'm definitely looking for a replacement threading salon. read more

First time I went the woman who did them was rude and didn't do a good job, but i thought hey maybe they were having a bad day. second time I went I had a very pleasant woman do my eyebrows and did an amazing job. third time I went very rude again, and did a horrible job. I have been to this salon many times for threading. They do good work with the threading but customer service is very bad. I walked in at 2.30pm and there was no sign saying that they were closed for lunch but the employee tells me that it's my lunchtime but since you are here I will do the threading job for you . She did not ask me anything about how I want my brows to be done, just started doing it. Very unprofessional and uncourteous. Nor at the end of the job did she give me a mirror to check. I was at the Exton mall picking up shoes on a Monday, my usual place was closed because salons are never open on a Monday. My eyebrows were looking pretty haggard as I was growing them out for a wax late that week. I stopped in and told the ladies I desperately needed a wax, they suggested a threading. I thought, sure... I was nervous but they knew I was new to this and were very reassuring. She did an excellent job! She was gentile Quick, no burning and my eyebrows are uniform, which is tricky because I have a bisecting scar on one.. I will go back again, bringing my mom and daughter! read more

Very poor experience when I went to get my eyebrows waxed. The woman working was unfriendly from the start then she dropped hot wax on the inner corner of my eye and in my eyelashes, thankfully my eyes were closed. She half-heartedly apologized and wiped the wax, along with all my eye makeup, off with a napkin. My eyebrows didn't really look that great even after the whole ordeal. Terrible customer service every time I go. This most recent time I had an appointment for 7 and wasn't seen until 7:25. When the woman finally came out she asked if another customer who hadn't been waiting as long could be seen first because her service wouldn't take as long. I gave 2 stars because they are good at eyebrow threading but don't trust them with a wax for any area, they always leave hair. I will not be going back here for any services. read more

Go if you want pencil thin eyebrows. I've had my brows done at least 30 times before but I left this place wanting to cry. She removed half of my brows when I explicitly said I wanted a clean up. I have never had eyebrows I was pleased with until now. I've gotten my eyebrows done at numerous places in the past and they always made them way too thin or mismatched. I resorted to doing them myself for a while but I could also never get them right. Subiya at Zara gave me the best brows I've ever had. I'm newer to the area and have been in desperate search of a good eyebrow place as I'm very particular about my eyebrows and their shape/size. I had been growing them out from previous people who messed them up. I saw the reviews on here and figured I would give it a shot. Amazing!! Subiyah shapes my eyebrows wonderfully and she keeps them a good size. Most people for some reason want to make my eyebrows too thin. I only took away one star because I get "string burn" every time I get them done. It's not visible but it hurts for a couple of days after. She also gives you a free eyebrow session after going 10 times. I will keep coming back! read more

I was at the mall with my dad doing some seasonal shopping. I decided to finally get my eyebrows done after growing them out for most of the summer. I thought to go here because other salon in the mall that I got mine done at previously had made them too thin (why I was growing them out). I walked in and the woman working was speaking loudly on her bluetooth and didn't even acknowledge me and when she finally did she mouthed to me asking me what I wanted. When I told her I wanted an eyebrow wax she motioned me to the chair, still speaking on her bluetooth. It probably took her less than a minute to do my eyebrows. I have no idea how she did it, but she got wax in my hair and eyelashes. Because I was in a rush I paid her and left, but once I got back home I wish I hadn't. My eyebrows looked terrible. There was dried wax everywhere, the shape was completely changed, and there was still hair where it shouldn't have been. I had to pluck and fix them myself and I am once again forced to grow them out. Terrible service overall. You couldn't pay me to go back here. read more

Sobia is the best. She always threads my eyebrows quickly and painlessly. I always hope that she's there when I go in. The times that I have gone in when she is not there, my eyebrows come out so-so, or the process is slow (hence the one star reduction). If everyone was like Sobia, I'd give this place 5 stars. She also does waxing and does it quickly, painlessly, and without any mess. I recommend this place only if Sobia is there! read more

Do NOT go here. These people are butchers!!!! The older lady who works there is very rude and she destroyed my eyebrows. I had nice thick brows which i wanted to clean up before a trip i was taking. When i asked her just to clean them up she took off most of my eyebrows. I now have a thin line on each side one being crooked. I had to fight back tears when i saw them. I doubt my brows will grow back . This is an awful place word to the wise do not use !!!!!! read more

I've had my eyebrows threaded before. I stopped in this weekend with a friend. After I reviewed their services I realized they did eyelash extension. I've heard a little about the service but had only previously had one day lashes applied for a special event. The woman talked me into. While she was applying she got glue in my eye and it was burning. I tried to tell her but she seemed unaffected. Finally another woman came to assist her and wiped away the excess glue under my eye. They looked terrible! So cheap and far too long. I mentioned this and she cut them down but they were still awful. The next day my eye was red and irritated. I called my hair salon that does makeup and discussed with them. They said sometimes cheap places use nail glue to make the lashes stay longer. How horrible!! I'll never go back. Do yourself and don't be fooled. Go to a professional place that does makeup to get lashes applied. read more

I am very particular about my eyebrows and I read reviews about this place, wanting to give it a try because I just moved around here and needed a new place to go. I called twice before coming because I wanted Sobia ( since she had good reviews) well I walked in on Saturday at 8:30 and she was talking on her blue tooth & she looked at the time and rolled her eyes.. And asked " what do you want done" told her I wanted a clean up on my eyebrows and she said okay and looked at the time again. SHE DIDN'T EVEN SPEND 5 MINUTES ON MY EYEBROWS & she told me I was done. I looked in the mirror and hair was still around my eye brow? and I said there's still hair, she said " you said you wanted a clean up" so I said whatever and handed her the ten dollars and walked out.
