Grande Chicken Burrito, Tigo Fries, southwestern sauce, mild Chilito

I had never had Zantigos before but was pleasantly surprised. This isn't some fancy place but definitely a step up from Tacobell (and if you know me, you know Tbell's creamy jalapeño sauce runs through my veins.). The cilantro rice in the burrito was a nice touch and the fries weren't soggy at all. I would definitely get this again for lunch.

A lil worn down but Zantigo gives me all the nostalgic feels! A chilito is a must-have (chili cheese burrito - a skinny little roll of heaven). I also love their taco burrito. Expect no-frills and some grease.

Barbacoa Taco Salad from zantiga the meat was cold it looked like they put 2 heads of lettuce in the bowl

Went for lunch today and ordered a taco bowl and was very disappointed the meat was cold and not even enough to put in one taco shell I had more lettuce first and last time I should've known better when I was the only customer in there

A friend raved about the food from this restaurant, walking into the place a ominous odor could be smelt, then the associate couldn't get two orders correctly placed. Had to turn around and walkout and toss the food away! Nasty nasty place, I would NOT suggest to anyone to support this restaurant!! If yelp would allow, I wouldn't give a rating of 0 stars Zantigo on Lyndale Ave S

    This is the chilito.

When I order Mexican Food, I think of lots of fresh colors, spicy, and flavorful. But that is not what I received. Instead I got a bland burrito with too much rice some beans and some pork. And the man that served me wasn't very helpful apart from speaking too quietly, forcing me to repeat myself over and over, he finally gave me my answer just to make me still unsure what I was ordering. And my deluxe taco meant add a extra shell and refried beans for 40 cents #gross! Overall it's average fast food, way overpriced!

This place is where I go for Chilitos. They come in hot and mild. I prefer the hot. The service has slowed down lately. I have been there several times in the last few months and they have been slower than normal. I didn't complain because the food was good. If you watch the staff, they seem to mope around without purpose is the way I feel. The service used to be faster. I still crave chilitos even though they are exactly healthy for you. In moderation.

To begin with, our table and the menus given to us were very dirty and had lots of visible food tidbits, which made us have to clean things up a bit ourselves. That was okay, though, because I have experienced worse and wouldn't choose to let it impact my judgment to such an extent. I thought the only item that was solid was my lengua torta, which had a good amount of stuff inside ranging from meat to lettuce to mayo, and made me full in a very satisfactory way. A lot of the tacos were dry and reliant on the lime for a little bit of juice, including the birria tacos. My partner ordered the chicken, shrimp, and fish tacos, and thought they all tasted mediocre. Personally I enjoyed having some radishes because they cleansed my palate when needed. Another unfortunate event was that later that night, I experienced a severe stomachache and had to throw up. Granted, I have not tried their birria with consomé yet, which per my understanding was what made them famous since the beginning of time, at least according to a piece of newspaper I had seen next to the bathroom. Next time when I visit, I will try such instead, which I hope can provide me with an improved experience.

Let's start with service, the server was nice enough, but very rarely came by to refill drinks. The others were taken quickly, but the food all came out at wildly different times. I received my food probably 20-25 minutes before the last person received theirs. The wave was maybe 2 people's food at a time. The whole free dip with 5 Birria tacos was confusing as no one really knew which tacos qualified. As for the food, the horchata was okay. It wasn't super flavorful and seemed poorly mixed. I had to take the top off to try and mix it better, but the straw didn't work well. The goat Birria was very bland to me. I added all the hot sauce, but still couldn't even really taste it. I ended up mainly just dipping the tortillas in the green sauce, which wasn't bad. Perhaps I came on an off day. I'm not sure I would go back though.

Love the murals on the walls celebrating the Minnesotan culture and icons. The service is always great, and the servers always have a good menu recommendation if you're unsure what to get. The bar has delicious drinks and their Jamaica juice is so refreshing on a hot summer day. Happy hour is a nice discount on some favorite items. I will say anything with shredded chicken isn't my favorite (not enough seasoning on the chicken for my taste) but everything else we've tried is a hit! We always start off with the chips and salsa flight and add cheese sauce - it's NOT a queso, there's no peppers or spice. The creamy green sauce is our favorite salsa they make, it's delicious on everything. The torta is a great choice if you're unsure what to get, the pineapple bowl is awesome if you're trying to share with others. Tacos and burritos are always a hit - I love the crunch of the pork belly and the flavor of the al pastor, taco toppings are onion and cilantro unless you get the loaded taco with slaw. The burrito could probably feed two people with an appetizer. It's a little higher priced than your typical plate of tacos but the quality of the food is always top notch, the kitchen is open and clean, and I've never left hungry or without leftovers. I will note - if you're looking for "traditional" Mexican food this probably isn't the spot you're looking for. It's still delicious just slightly different than what you'd get at your typical taqueria.

My wife and I decided to venture out for lunch, and I had a craving to explore a new taco spot…read more After some deliberation, we settled on trying El Camino Gourmet Tacos, a place that had recently caught my eye. The parking lot, shared with several other businesses, offered plenty of spots, making our arrival easy and stress-free. As we entered the establishment, we were promptly greeted by a friendly staff member at the counter. The menu was a delight--clearly laid out, with detailed descriptions for each item. This thoughtful touch made it easy to navigate the mouthwatering options, and I appreciated how transparent and appetizing everything sounded. The ambiance was equally inviting. The cheerful atmosphere was alive with upbeat music, smiling employees, and happy customers. The wall decor was strikingly beautiful, adding a vibrant and artistic touch to the space. We found a cozy table and were quickly presented with menus and offered beverage choices. As we browsed through the menu, we couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the incredible array of options--each dish sounded better than the last! It was a struggle, but we finally made our decisions. We started with the Chips and Guacamole and then moved on to our main courses. My wife chose the Steak Fajita Bowl, while I opted for the Chicken Tinga Corn Tacos. As we waited for our food, the restaurant began to fill up, the buzz of activity adding to the lively and welcoming vibe. The Chips and Guacamole arrived quickly, and what a treat they were! The chips were unbelievably fresh and had that unmistakable crispness of being freshly made in-house. The guacamole? Sublime. Creamy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned--it was so good I joked about wanting to bathe in it. I'm completely in love with this guacamole and could easily make a meal of just that. Soon after we polished off the appetizer, our main dishes arrived, and the incredible aromas from our plates were almost too much to handle. The Chicken Tinga Tacos were a masterpiece. The crunch of the tortillas was like music to my ears, and the savory, spiced flavor of the chicken was pure perfection. Every bite was a revelation, and I found myself wishing it would never end. My wife's Steak Fajita Bowl looked just as enticing. The vibrant mix of ingredients was beautifully presented, and to my surprise, she finished every last bite--a rarity for her. She's usually the one asking for a to-go box, but this time, she couldn't bear to leave a morsel behind. Either she was extremely hungry or the dish was so incredible she simply couldn't stop eating. I'm inclined to believe it was the latter. What can I say? The entire meal was a triumph of flavor, freshness, and quality. I'm already planning my return visits--there are so many more dishes I want to try. My only regret? Forgetting to take pictures of this unforgettable meal! What was I thinking? El Camino Gourmet Tacos has officially earned a spot on my list of favorite places. If you haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and check it out. You'll be hooked from the first bite!
