TL;DR This place is delicious and worth every penny. Highly suggest, it's my new go-to Mexican place. We ordered online and picked up our food. Not only was everything ready promptly (accurate time guesses for the win!) but it was delicious. I've now had a burrito and a bowl from El Compa and they were both delicious. I'm vegetarian- and sometimes takeout is a bit meh as the focus is on the meat dishes or the main meat protein. El Compa's vegetarian options are fantastic and you can tell they care about ALL their ingredients and not just the meat. The sauces (the El Compa sauce in particular is yummy!), vegetables, seasonings, toppings- all of it is great. My spouse has gotten chicken items and said the chicken is juicy and perfectly seasoned. This is our new go-to Mexican place and I'm probably going there tomorrow for dinner because writing this makes me want more. There's lots of customization options and ways to add/leave out anything you want. The portions are large, it's quite the bang for your buck! Go try them out- it's SO good. read more

We stopped in for dinner. We both ordered burritos - one chicken and another Al Pastor. Both with black beans and Mexican Rice. They were huge and very tasty. Had enough for lunch the next day too. Grabbed a taco bowl to go and will have to go back to try some of their other menu offerings. The flavors were fresh and subtle. I had the chicken bowl with chips and guac on the side. I really liked the chips and guac but I don't know if they were worth $8. Chips are made in house and are light and crispy. The chicken bowl was covered in fresh toppings and was a substantial portion. The online ordering was easy and efficient. Inside atmosphere is casual with a handful of tables. Wow, what a delicious spot in Eagan! This gem is surrounded by other food options, including a Taco Bell. But you would be doing yourself a disservice by settling for anything else! This place was fantastic! It is located in a strip mall with plenty of free parking! The service here was wonderful! So friendly! There is seating here, but not a ton. The tables were all clean and flowers were on each table! The decor is lacking but who needs decor when your food is delicious!? I tried the quesabirria tacos and holy moly yum! The consume was SO flavorful! There was plenty of meat in each taco! Very tender and juicy! I also tried the chips and queso. Also great flavor and the chips had a nice salt on them! The horchata was good but had a "starchy" taste/texture to it. Not horrible but I've had better horchata. Overall, I would happily come back here! It is definitely worth a try! read more

I wouldn't mind trying something else here, such as the street tacos, but my quesabirria was underwhelming. Lots of meat and good tortillas, but the flavor was pretty much nothing but salt. My friend got esquites, which is like elote in a cup, and thought it was just okay and should have had more corn. I had good horchata and good rice, and I found the service to be friendly enough that I am genuinely compelled to return for something else. read more

The street tacos and quesadilla were tasty, and the salsa that came with the chips and salsa side was excellent. It had a fresh, garden salsa type taste. This restaurant did not serve complimentary tap water, which is a bit weird to me but not a deal breaker. Service was fast and staff were friendly. Seating is available, but it's more of a dive style than a full restaurant. This restaurant does choose to charge a 3% credit card fee instead of building that cost of doing business into their menu prices, which I did not appreciate. read more

Ordered takeout from here on a Saturday afternoon: two burritos and chips and queso. The burritos were huge - a great value for $11.95! Everything was delicious!! The only thing I might do differently in the future is order extra salsa. The restaurant itself is order at the counter style with some tables. It was busy when we went so we waited a bit for our food (maybe 10 minutes so not bad). We didn't mind - especially because you can see the cooks preparing everything fresh. The people working were very friendly and welcoming. We really look forward to coming back and trying more menu items! The weekend breakfast burritos seem very enticing. very friendly service! self serve seating. ordered one of each taco (chicken, carne asada, carnitas, barbacoa, tofu) & they also asked if we wanted a birria taco, to which we said yes since it was our first time here. we also got a horchata. we paid around $28. i was very pleased with the presentation, flavor & consistency throughout all 6 tacos. each taco had an avocado lime crema. The lime wedges we received were juicy. We also asked for a side of hot sauce and its got a really nice kick & flavor to it. I would certainly go back to try other menu items. The only suggestion I would have is a self serve water station. Otherwise you'll have to buy your own beverages. The horchata was good, has a starchy aftertaste/texture but thats expected. rating out of 5 CHICKEN & CARNE ASADA: dry but flavor is there BARBACOA: juicy & flavorful CARNITAS: juicy & flavorful, just a smidge salty compared to barbacoa but i didnt mind because it went well with the hot sauce BIRRIA: this was good but it kind of tasted like spaghetti sauce lol TOFU: it sounds weird but surprisingly i loved this one. its just fried tofu in a corn tortilla but it tasted fresh and added a crispness. i never thought i'd love a tofu taco as much as i do with this one. read more

Asked for sauce didn't get any sauce asked for no cheese there was cheese all over they messed it up so bad it made the food taste so bad.

Wonderful food! I had beef birria tacos with cheese, with a side of chips and guacamole. Very generous portions (three tacos extra-full of great shredded beef), such that I could only finish one taco out of the three. The Guac side portion was quite generous, as well. Such a great spot for some fantastic and delicious mexican food! We were greeted by the lady at the register who was super kind and friendly. The rest of the staff was great as they delivered the food with a smile and offered to bring us salsa to accompany our food! We had a taco, asada fries, torta de asada, chips and queso and horchata. They all tasted so fresh and seasoned so well, I would highly recommend the asada fries! Overall a great experience and would be coming back soon for more!! read more
