The best burritos and tacos in New Hope! My son orders at least once a week. They have a Taco Tuesday special $ 2.50 each and Wednesday burritos for $7.50 that includes freshly made tortilla chips! The green sauce that comes with both items is a little spicy but the red sauce is milder but still has a nice kick. There's a lot of different meat to choose from. There's some seating inside but we always order pick up. Never had any complaints or issues and very friendly staff! read more

Visited this local spot for the first time tonight for taco Tuesday & it did not disappoint! It is very small inside but they have a large parking lot. The service was so friendly and fast! Great overall experience & the food was delicious read more

Who doesn't love taco Tuesday?' We tried a variety of tacos from Que Taco. We ranked our favorites 1. Chicken- juicy and well seasoned 2. Birria- the birria sauce was more like a soup, but this dipped taco was still good 3. Steak- unfortunately this one was under seasoned I'll be back for more chicken tacos and to try a burrito read more

It's been our solid to-go spot. Small restaurant with some seating. They are always super quick with our orders. The birria torta and burrito are phenomenal. And the regular barbacoa burrito never misses. We tried a couple other items like the enchilada and tacos but weren't the biggest fan. Enchilada were just soggy with very little cheese and we thought the taco shell was a bit too thick. But stick with the burritos and you're good to go! Hot sauces are good- but the ones included are so tiny. Prices are spot on, they have daily deals as well. Overall, easy, tasty, quick and worth a stop. read more

We discovered this place on a whim driving by, we stopped in quick for take out and were satisfied with how tasty everything we ordered was, unfortunately they didn't have any elote so I got esquites. We visited again no elotes again but the tacos were consistently delicious, I love the pastor tacos and chip and guac. We were able to sit down and eat the second time around and it was pretty chill, the atmosphere is nice and it is not too crowded + the bathroom was clean. read more

What a hidden treasure! This place is small, unassuming, and easy to miss. But don't miss it! The footprint is small with just a couple tables inside and 3 picnic tables outside. I came on a Saturday but now wanting to come back on Tuesday for the Taco Tuesday special! 5/5 Street Taco Al Pastor - homemade GF corn tortillas. Nice char on the pork with small bits of pineapple. So Good! We also got one small salsa (green or red). 4/5 Taco Lengue - homemade GF tortillas. the tongue was nicely charred but a bit fatty. Not as flavorful as the Al Pastor. They seem to have a lot of pick-up orders. The girl at the counter was very sweet and helpful. read more

Small place with tables inside and a few picnic tables outside. The inside was clean and the service was good. Seemed like a very popular takeout spot. Order: El Pastor street taco. Amazing homemade tortilla. The meat was perfectly marinated with great flavor and had the right amount of crispy bits. The real surprise were the little bits of pineapple that added some sweetness. They had two different salsas to choose..red or green. The real star of the show was the spicy green salsa. Careful it is legit spice not Minnesota spicy. Lengua street taco. Great texture and taste to the meat. The homemade tortilla was the perfect compliment with a mix of the red and green salsas. Overall: Definitely in the conversation for best street tacos in the Western suburbs. I now want to try everything on the menu. read more

Finally was able to try this place out after hearing about it everywhere. We got the steak California burrito and steak tacos (asada, al pastor, and chorizo). The tortillas are hand made and nice and thick so it didn't fall apart while eating. Love that! Overall, loved the tenderness of the steak and my favorite was the chorizo- it was so flavorful! You get a good amount of filling in the tacos and burrito. The California burrito came with chips (but no salsa, which was disappointing). Inside the burrito, it was delicious and juicy (it even has fries). The place is small with limited seating (4 tables total) so I'm glad to get our food to-go. Things I would change: they charge you for salsas but the container they give you is tiny and weren't even full of salsa. For $1.50, I would expect enough for at least my meal. read more

Que taco - Street tacos: asada, pastor and chorizo (bottom to top) - Mexican Near Me - New Hope, Minnesota

Small footprint, and I probably wouldn't attempt to eat here because there are only 3-4 tables, however, it's great for takeout! The menu is large and a bit overwhelming. I was happy to see they have a kids meal option. They also have specials like discounted tacos on Tuesdays and discounted burritos on Wednesdays. The first time I came here I got a couple of tacos and did enjoy the flavor. I then kept thinking about the California burrito and came back for that. It's hard to come by a California burrito in MN, they are known for having both steak and fries inside the burrito! I liked the burrito, it's a nice decent meal, but next time I would ask for no- "guacamole" because it was just large chunks of avocado. I wish I liked the sauces, each meal comes with a green sauce and an orange sauce, but they are both uncomfortably spicy, very bitter. read more

THIS REVIEW IS FOR QUE TACO (BASS LAKE ROAD) LOCATION - there is two in New Hope but this location is great as well. By far the best birria burrito I've ever had which is my go to everytime. We added elote and a carnita taco and that was amazing as well. They have two different salsas but the salsa verde is on another level on spice but in the best way possible. I've been going here for years and it's definitely a hidden gem. Staff inside is always welcoming and provides amazing customer service everytime! The vibe inside is so cute and you tell it's an authentic restaurant which I love. 5/5 each and every time! read more

An amazing hole-in-the-wall, authentic, local mexican restaurant! We came in the other day for some takeout and ordered in the store. Everything came out fresh in about 15 minutes and we were on our way. Reasonably priced and delicious. Will 100% be back for some more Burria-related items! read more

We were looking for tacos one evening and was surprised this one open until 10pm. I used to work down the street and remember this restaurant selling soul food. We saw birria on the menu and had to come check them out. This is a small restaurant, option to dine in or take out. They have about 8 tables for guests. We ordered at the counter and waited about 25 minminutes for the food. Birria and consume is delicious. read more

Had the asada burrito and it was a bit too salty but still a 5 star recommendation! Gonna come back soon read more

Ordered the birria tacos, they were decent. They put a good amount of meat in the tacos which is really nice. Does not beat my favorite place for birria tacos however this one is closer to me. Salsas were really good and had a nice kick to them. Consomé was tasty. Definitely coming back to explore the rest of their menu! read more

The queso is a must order. Their tortillas are home made, and sear the burrito before serving. It's the best burrito in the area. I like spooning or dipping into their chorizo queso. Their chips are homemade too. Highly recommend read more

The birria tacos and the consommé were really good, but the consommé could have been seasoned better. The birria ramen was ok, the noodles took away from the flavor of the consommé. The wait time was almost non existent, and the restaurant had a cozy atmosphere. read more

Another win for nearby lunch spots found on Yelp!!! Last week Thursday for me was definitely a Mexican food kind of day lol. Did a quick "tacos nearby" search on Yelp and to my dismay, there were more options than expected. After looking at the reviews, I hopped in my car and headed straight here. I ended up getting the Steak Burrito and it came with two sauces: a red spicy sauce and a green avacado'y sauce, which were both so tasty and paired well with my enormous burrito! Beside the size of it, what caught my attention was how soft and fresh the tortilla wrap had tasted. The meat was tasty and everything else that came inside the burrito was portioned evenly, which made eating it so hassle free. During my visit, I conversed with an avid Google reviewer who was remembered by one of the workers and thanked for leaving a review. She reassured all of the reviews on this place and shared how much she loves the quesabirria(which is next on list to try) and just loved supporting a small local mom and pop shop like this one(to which I couldn't agree more). The place is kinda tight, but that didn't matter much because I always bring my lunch back to work to grub in my office. There is outside benches but this is obviously not the time of the year for that kind of thing haha. On the flip side, I'm all for small details and I love how easy their menu is to read. The words are at a great font and the screens are well lit. Reading menus in restaurants are usually so hard and calls for squinting of the eyes but not at Que Taco. Lots of parking. Quick service. Friendly bilingual staff. Great tasting food! read more

I went here for something quick and easy; upon my first bite, I became a regular. I've eaten at Que Taco so many times now that I only recommend this restaurant for Mexican cuisine now. The service was speedy, accurate, and friendly. This is a family-owned business and they show it! The dining space is small and limited; I would take my meal to-go each time. Convenient parking, pricing is fair, and portion sizes enormous! I am guilty of eating an entire birria burrito in one sitting though because it is SO GOOD! read more

The hand made corn tortillas make all the difference. I highly recommend! Our favorites include the Al pastor, carne asada and birria tacos.

Had an early lunch at this solid taco shop in the parking lot of the New Hope Bowl & Lounge. I had 2 Asada Tacos, chips, and a soda. I think the Combo probably would have been a better deal, but it looked like more than I wanted. The Ramen Combo Soup (Ramen + 2 Birra Tacos) looked interesting too. It's a pretty small place - only 3-4 tables inside and another 3 picnic tables outside. Over all it was a good meal and I would eat here again. read more

So much yes to Que Taco. The fresh, house made tortillas, the birria tacos...I've found a new place to call home. This little hole in the wall doesn't have much for seating, but the food is fantastic, the service friendly, and options delightful. After some serious thought, I selected the birria (shredded beef, cheese) and it did not disappoint. The portion was large so I was plenty full by the time I left and had some to take home. This is a definite place to hit up for great food, leaving you satisfied and wanting to return for more. read more

What a delicious little street taco haven!!! I had a hard time deciding what kind of tacos to get - but I stuck with the "street taco" variety. I ordered two of them so I could sample the chicken tinga and the barbacoa with the hot salsa. First impression - YUM! The meat was sooooooo juicy and tender with fantastic flavor. The cilantro onion combo was very on point and complimented the meat perfectly. The hot green salsa was also top notch! Fresh flavor with plenty of kick. I could've ate an entire bowl of the stuff with chips! I'm a big fan of Que Taco! Look out AZ Taco - there is another player right down the street! read more

I ordered online and my food was ready in 20 mins. Hands down one of the best taco places I've found so far in the metro area! The handmade tortillas are so filling. The service is fast and professional. It's pretty small so I would order for takeout. Definitely will be eating here again read more

I frequent Que Taco. Like a lot. The combo platter is the best bang for your buck, I get it with the barbacoa. The barbacoa is my favorite of their meats, but the pastor is pretty good too. I like the carnitas and chicken but they don't have as much flavor as the other two mentioned. They make their own tortillas here, and honestly their not my favorite tortillas as they are kind of thicker/fluffier but I do like the flour tortillas. Quesabirria, birria, birria/ramen combo, and tacos are recommended. I've had birria at a couple other places, while this isn't my number 1, it is certainly better than AZ tacos birria. BY FAR. As for sides, rice is good but a little dry so I usually add lime, birria broth, and hot sauce to it. The chorizo queso is delicious but a little spendy. I've had the gorditas (not my fav food in general). The taquitos have been a little hit or miss, but when they hit and they're crunchy, they're very good. I call ahead or order online and it's usually ready when I arrive or shortly after. Small diner so I do takeaway. Overall I recommend Que Taco, it's my fav in the area over AZ or riendo. read more

I was so excited to try a new authentic Mexican spot. It was very mid and WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Got 2 orders of Burria tacos for me and my spouse. Consume was literal water with no taste and so was the meat--tasteless. Nothing authentic to me. Surprisingly, that didn't quench my appetite, but what did is finding not one, but 3 HAIRS!!! I excused the first hair but after biting into the 2nd one then investigating both tacos, there was 3 black curly hairs!! Literally FOLDED INTO THE TACO! My hair is straight and not black. I didn't even check my spouses meal, he didn't even end up eating it, we put it in the fridge. Next day, the corn tortilla was turning green? Disgusting. Waste of money!!! No flavor or all contamination obviously. Maybe even old/not properly stored food! I got sick with horrible stomach problems and diarrhea for a week after eating not even 1 full taco--STAY AWAY!! The health department needs to visit ASAP or Gordon Ramsey at that. read more

Que Taco is absolutely top tier fuego. The queso and chorizo is 10/10, homemade tortillas made in the back (literally watched them make it) and the Asada burrito was everything you could ask for and also an absolute monster. Also have homemade salsas and they have a great balance of heat and flavor. If you're anywhere in the Northwest suburbs and want Mexican, look no further than Que Taco. read more

The El Pastor is weak. The tacos are expensive and somehow a disaster.. the burrito that I got tonight was so soggy. I grew up in where Taquerias a diamond dozen this place wouldn't last a week in Cali. read more

The two of us ordered the birria taco. Comes three to an order so we asked to add a fourth. Truth be told, we could have gotten along just fine by having only three -- one apiece and splitting the third. That would have been plenty. The birria tacos are large and well filled with a generous serving of delicious roast beef. Comes with a dipping sauce that is best characterized as au jus, and you can request a standard taco sauce side also if you want it, but we didn't see the need for any extra zing or flavor. Next time around I'd like to try the chicken enchiladas. They look very good. There is no "ambiance " to this place. Yes, they have a few tables. But it's clear when you walk in the door that this is a carry out business. read more

Service was decent and the food was prepared timely. It's not a place I would sit down and eat at but excellent for take-out.

If you choose to go here call ahead because they don't honor their operating hours and close really early multiple nights per week. The food is authentic! The food is freshly made and delicious! The service is unbelievable! If you miss real Mexican food (this is Puebla style) you won't be disappointed. For those of you who are prone to judging a book by its cover (it's small- only 3 tables, it's not swanky, and some may be put off by the location) put away those thoughts- this place is LEGIT! We love it! The only thing we wish were better were the tortilla chips and a more mild salsa. Warning- the side sauces are HOT, especially the green one. Give Que Taco a try and you won't be disappointed. read more

I wanted a taco bar for my birthday party. I went to Que Taco two days before and went over what I wanted. The guy there , I think owner or manager, listened to me and recommended sizes and details. I ordered , at least I thought I did, and before I left I asked him if he wanted to write the order down or if he needed my name! He said no we will have it all ready for you at 5 PM! Well guess what, it wasn't ready they had to make it all while my husband waited. We were going to pick it up at 5 so we could eat at 5:15-5:30PM. But we didn't get to eat until 6 PM. Also we didn't get the beans and rice that he and I had spoken about including. The food we had was good but he didn't meet the timeline he promised or the entire order that we went over. If you decide to do a large order that you want to order ahead of time, I would make the person write down your order and take your name! read more

I normally love this place but twice now they've given us beyond burnt food. I'm a little disappointed that they would cover the really burnt parts of the tamales I ordered with way too much lettuce and yeah even the chicken was charred. Left me shocked as this hasn't happened as bad as this before. First time It was tougher to eat but I went with it but this time is just sad that they took my money for charred food. Service doesn't check quality or care. read more

VERY impressed. Normally I would make a trip to Taqueria La Hacienda on Lake Street for top quality tacos. It is great to know, there is something closer. I had the Al Pastor street tacos and it was carmelized flavorful bacon-y hunks of pork. -Not weird sloppy joes that some places have. If there was any complaint, and not even sure you'd call it one, the homemade tortillas were just a little bit too thick. (In my opinion) Highly recommended! read more
