    Barbacoa american style taco
    Emily S.

Was looking for some street tacos and El Super Taco did not disappoint! I placed an online order which was fast and convenient. I tried an American taco with barbacoa and a couple of the chicken street tacos. They packaged up my order and added a couple of salsas on the side to top the tacos with which I appreciated! The tacos were exactly what I was looking for that day. I especially liked the barbacoa taco since the meat was juicy and tender. Be sure to try El Super Taco if you're looking for awesome street tacos!

A clean, warm, well-lighted place with delicious cooked to order food. Counter service is friendly. I loved the street tacos with tinga and lots of onion and cilantro. I added a flourish of their fresh salsa and lime juice to complete the win.

They have great menu for take out and small casual dine in. Their tacos are great and they have amazing salsas but I only come here for one thing and one thing only, the steak tostadas!! It's the best! For $10+ you get three hefty tostadas. The carne asada just hits differently.

El super taco is our go to tacos restaurant! We have never had a bad experience with the food here, each time it has been very consistent with the taste and flavor, service is always friendly too. They are super fast as well. My favorites are the street tacos, especially the El pastor, they are probably one of the best I've had in Minnesota. The salsa is also very delicious here.

One Word: FLAVOR These street tacos with the orange sauce and the green sauce will literally have you dancing. Walk in and order, and the sauces are limes are right in front of you. We got the quesebirria and street tacos, sooooooo good! The chorizo street tacos, has a crunch that cannot be described, it requires you to go here and order it, sit down and take a bite. I was full but I wasn't weighed down and falling asleep like won't full of carbs. Light atmosphere and Ed event amount of seating. This place is legit and authentic and highly recommend you get here!

The food is just amazing always pretty fresh from I can tell as well! I love the high tops to see the good get made as well nice sheen plain decor u don't need much for a good taco

If you want some actual good, tasteful authentic Mexican food, this place rocks. It's not that watered down Midwest crap your used to. It has flavor, spice and a friendly staff. I highly suggest especially if you're out of town, or maybe moved here from a different state. Street tacos are amazing. Simple and fresh ingredients makes this place a little kept secret. Try the Quesabirria, it's my favorite. Sorry minnesotaahhhh but this place maybe too spicy for your northern palates

Fast food at its best! Quesadillas were amazing and so were the two street tacos. The side of guac is a must it was so fresh! The ladies all speak Spanish and are very nice. The ambiance is not the greatest. It's not cozy at all. Just go hungry or do pick up. :)

Tasty tacos for sure. Carnitas street tacos are the best. The green sauce and the orange sauce are fabulous.

The patio is super chill, and the cocktails are creative without trying too hard, tons of variety and some really fun flavor combos. Their late-night happy hour is a great deal, especially with food this good. We rolled in with a big group and ordered half the menu. The shrimp tacos were a standout, massive, perfectly-cooked shrimp with bold, punchy flavor. But the real showstopper was the flank steak chimichurri. Every single person at the table said they'd come back just for that. It was tender, juicy, perfectly seasoned, everything you want from a classic done right. Carne asada fries were super fun and flavorful, and the cod + pineapple fish tacos were fresh, bright, and balanced. Add in a killer tequila lineup and some seriously authentic flavors, and you've got one of the best modern Mexican spots in the area.

They have so many different, foods, drinks, pastries, deli items, it's definitely worth exploring before or after dinner! There is free parking but the lot is not very big. You may need to park in the street (also free). Upon walking in, we were greeted by several employees! We opted to sit out on the patio, since it was a gorgeous night! After 10 minutes no one had come to the table... 15 minutes... still no one. No water, drinks or their complimentary chips. They weren't overly busy, so this didn't make sense to us. At minute 20 I got up to talk to a manger. The waitress saw me go up to the front and tried to wave me down to say "I got you." I'm sorry but 20 minutes in a restaurant that isn't packed is ridiculous. At the very least she could have brought water and said she would be with us soon, but she never acknowledged we were there. I spoke with the manager and noted that it had been 20 minutes with no one coming to our table. I told him i understood she had other tables but that we just hadn't even been acknowledged. He said "she doesn't have that many tables! Let's go!" He took our order on the spot! He brought us complimentary guacamole and horchata with our chips! That was a very nice gesture! I assured him we weren't out for freebies, we just wanted to order our food. He was very friendly and definitely took care of us! Our food came out very quickly and we were checked on multiple times. He definitely turned what was a very negative experience around! The vibes here are really great! The patio was so nice! It was well maintained and clean! The food: I got the pulpo (octopus) tacos! They had a tropical and buttery flavor to them! I opted to take the picked onion off mine but I'm sure that's tasty as well! The chips had a nice crisp and saltiness to them and the salad was one of the best complimentary ones we have tried! My boyfriend had the chicken fajitas and noted they were tasty with a solid portion. The horchata here is also pretty solid! Overall, this place is worth the try! Tip: don't get the dessert at the restaurant, grab it to go from the bodega! It's about $4-$5 cheaper!

They give you appetizers of chips, red salsa, and some kind of mayonnaise based dip. Beware because it'll get you gluttonous very quickly. All in all - it's what you expected for a Mexican restaurant. The food was quick, hot, and the service was kind and prompt enough to a bunch of gringos. A nitpick - the women's bathroom had 1 of 2 stalls out and seemed to need attention, hope they get that fixed. My only complaint was for two fajita platters, a nacho supreme, one tea, and one Sprite, and one bowl of guacamole and queso came to $120 after tax. Seems steep to me? (Hence four stars) At least the food didn't suck, which would I have made it sting. Try them out!

They bring out chips with both salsa and that addictive white sauce they have (I still don't fully know what it is but it's good every single time). I got fajitas and of course dumped queso all over them because that's the correct life choice. The tortillas were hot and fresh, the meat quality was really good, and everything tasted super solid. Only thing is the fajitas didn't come out sizzling like they do at some places, but honestly I think half of that is just restaurant theatrics anyway. Food still tasted great. I completely forgot to take pictures of everyone else's food because we were all hungry, but my nephew absolutely inhaled his chimichanga, so I'm taking that as a glowing review from him too. Overall it feels a little different from a lot of Mexican restaurants in a good way and I'd definitely go back. Decor is fine its decorated as you expect maybe less random.

The interior of the space is lively, with an open kitchen, bar area, and small dining room! Great vibe without the gimmicky American Mexican restaurant decor and feel! I will say that there is no area to wait if there's a line, so you're kinda awkwardly lined up against the wall in the dining room, which was less than desirable. By the time we actually got seated, it took a long time for a server to arrive. I get that it was busy, but for a small dining room, you'd expect a check-in from a server within 5-10 minutes of sitting down, which was not the case. Of note, they charge for chips and salsa...so if you're expecting that complimentary, you'll have to go elsewhere. We ordered the Mexican Flag (queso, guac, and salsa) which was great!! We ordered the Chimichanga and the Shrimp Fajitas for our entrees. A tale of two different worlds on this front...the Chimichanga was TOP NOTCH! So tasty, full of meat, and drizzled with a lovely sauce. The Shrimp Fajitas were mid....small serving of actual shrimp, with too much veggies, and the flour tortillas were hard when they arrived. Not a bad spot by any means, but some room for improvement!
