We ordered delivery from here last night. So good! There were 5 of us - 2 adults, 3 kiddos. I ordered 5 entrees and we each tried all of them. I basically ordered things we usually like or are familiar with: Mexican Taco Al Pastor, Enchiladas Verdes, Cheese Enchiladas, Steak Burrito, & Carnitas Chimichanga. Everything was good! The enchiladas and chimichanga were the favorites, with the steak burrito a close second. The Al Pastor was good, but not the best we've had. We will definitely order from here again! Stopped here after an afternoon of golfing. Really liked it. We got our drinks just before happy hour ended so I ended up with a HUGE margarita. It was served in a mug, salt on the rim, very refreshing and tasty. I decided on the ground beef chimichanga. It was delicious, but way too much for me to eat in one sitting. The chili was stuffed with meat, rice, and beans. Lettuce and pico was served on the side, along with a packet of sour cream. There was a nice coating of cheese covering the chimi, not too thick. I really don't like those chimis that have a half inch of thick yellow cheese. This one was perfect with a thin covering of white cheese. Everything is homemade including the chips and salsa as the starter. There was a steady stream of people coming in for takeout. Tables were distanced. Service was great. First time here in this restaurant. We really love good Mexican food. My wife always orders the Chile Relleno as her first test item and for me I order the Pozole the first time. We thought the Chile Relleno was excellent the batter was light and yet covered, the sauce was really nice as well. I completely enjoyed the Pozole which had a very nice smoky paprika flavor and so much chicken! Another winner, our experience is that any Mexican restaurant that con do a fine job with these two win another visit. Family owned business the owner's daughter was our server she was very knowledgeable and patient answering our questions. Learned a bit about the family recipes and traditions. I love how the staff knows us and places our orders right away exactly how we like our food - because they know us that well!! This review is long overdue! As a frequent traveler, I enjoy when I find an authentic experience. Edgar, his family & staff do a tremendous job caring for you the moment you walk through the door. The seating is large enough to accommodate groups of 4 quite easily, call ahead if you need a couple of tables pushed together for larger groups. To say I LOVE this place would be an understatement! They have truly become my favorite place (almost weekly) to relax, unwind and enjoy real family recipes from Mexico. As for soups, if you love flavor, enjoy! Personally, if you like Bloody Mary with Vodka, enjoy a Bloody Maria - just with Tequila. You can spice it up too! This place has vegan and vegetarian options! I was a little skeptical initially based on what is listed on the menu, but Edgar knows his stuff! He went through the different sections of the whole menu talking about available adaptations and ingredients in the dishes. Very helpful and friendly guy! Ordered through Grubhub back in February after I had surgery and was trying to take it easy, we got some tacos (chicken and carnitas) and the el pastor burrito. They had really great portions the burrito was probably my favorite of everything we got. The tacos weren't bad by all means but I definitely still have other places that I'd say are my favorite taco places. Mom just moved to Apple Valley and was in the mood for fish tacos. A quick Yelp search yielded up Las Enchiladas and the reviews were good, they weren't wrong. We started off with the Queso dip with chips, it came with a smokey red and very fresh green salsa. OMG the queso was sooo good. We couldn't stop eating it. You could pour it on a tennis ball and it would taste good, not that I'm encouraging you to try that. I liked it so much I got an order to go to bring home. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with mole gravy/sauce. It was some of THE BEST mole I've ever had. It came with some cheese and creama. It still had a bit of a chocolate taste to it along with the spice. The tortillas were fresh, homemade. The chicken was tender and flavorful. It came with rice and beans too. The beans were creamy and quite good. Mom had the fish tacos, which were a special that day. Each taco had 2 pieces of fish, a fresh, crunchy cole slaw, avocado with a spicy mayo. She really liked them. Unfortunately we didn't have room for dessert. The flan is homemade too The place is small with tables or booths. The staff was super friendly, explained items on the menu and filled us in on the history of the restaurant. His dad is the cook and makes everything from scratch. If he isn't happy with how the dish turned out, he won't serve it. We came after the lunch rush so the chef came out to greet us too. I did tell him that his mole was really delicious. I know we'll be back. I jokingly asked mom what she was doing the next day for lunch. I suggested they open a location closer to me in south Minneapolis. It was well worth the drive and there are plenty of really good Mexican restaurants in Minneapolis too. I'd highly suggest you check the place out. Don't let the modest exterior fool you - this is the best Mexican food I've had anywhere in the MSP metro! And I love authentic ethnic dishes! The chips, queso and salsa was a teaser of the meal to come - served with a uniquely delicious salsa verde that had me guessing at ingredients. It also came with a "hot" sauce that was more smoky than spicy, but was a perfect complement. She had the enchiladas suizas and I tried the enchiladas leoneras, since I love chorizo - both of us went from hangry to cozily happy in less than ten minutes. My dish tasted fresh and "made with love." We finished with the flan, which was unique with a consistency leaning toward cheesecake. The effect was amazing! I'll finish with the service. Our first of many visits here today was a great experience! The food was excellent, the service helpful and friendly, and the decor reminds me of our trip to Mexico. I was extremely pleased by our experience here. I was amazed by all the choices on the menu and wanted to try them all! My wife had a burrito, my son the tacos and I ended up with an Alambres. The had Queso and chips for and app. The food was all freshly prepared and hot when it came out. They use quality ingredients and careful preparation to make sure everything looks and tastes great. There is limited seating, perhaps 30-40 people max but that adds to the intimacy of the place. They offer a selection of cocktails in addition to a Coke products and several Mexican sodas. The owner came out to talk to us and tell us about the weekend specials. He was excited to share his goal to make great traditional offerings that aren't usually on the menu. He suggested we follow them on Facebook as the post them there for their followers. This is the 4th restaurant in this space some we moved here and it is by far the best. Great service, awesome high quality food, and right in my backyard! I can foresee more trips here in our future. read more

This small family owned spot is holding it down for not only Farmington, but the entire South Metro! I consider myself a true foodie and live to indulge in whatever gastronomy I stumble upon. I usually find myself looking at the avant- garde restaurants 30+ away and when I find something I like- I may eat it 2-3x that week- just to see if the consistency is on point. Now I've written almost every place SOTR off because even when I tried something decent once; the second time is just completely downhill and lacking in the flavor and quality I experienced previously. I've heard Las Enchiladas thrown around a bunch in local FB groups, but never checked it out until this past week when the hubby's coworker (who's opinion we trust)vouched for them. They were busy for Wed. night, but calling the order in was a breeze. 15 minutes later I was enjoying THE BEST Mexican I've had here since forever. I've hit the majority up.. Burrito Mercado, Taco Taxi (well..really everywhere on Lake) Centro,etc. Even the rice and beans had flavor... and they're usually the throw away side dishes! We've eaten here 3-4 more times and tried every Enchilada variation. They're all delicious, but the mole is the best I've ever tasted anywhere.. even in Mexico. I mean the smoke and the sweet are just combined perfectly,although some may find it too rich. I love that you can switch out the meat for enchiladas. Not everywhere will do that! I tried a soup and even that was the bomb and not a single grain of rice or a vegetable were undercooked. The fact the owner is the one hooking up the food until close is a bonus. My one and only complaint was I ordered the Rosemary Fajitas and although meat was thinly cut and tender- there's no way I got more than 3 oz of steak. Pretty bummed after all the good meals to drop $17 for such a tiny portion. It was delicious- but I was still hungry when I finished... which is the opposite of what you prepare for when ordering steak. I'll continue to order from them- because they're the best thing in a 15 mile radius from what I've seen. Keep throwing out the awesome food! read more

First time coming here. We came based on the reviews and wanting to support a family business. The menus variety was great as there were dishes not found on typical Mexican restaurant menus. The service was very friendly and attentive. I loved how the server explained the dishes and how they prepare them. He explained how the soup is prepared fresh and not sitting in a warmer all day. I ordered the veg chicken soup. The vegetables were perfectly blanched and flavorful; the portion was large; the broth tickled the tastebuds and it was hot as it should be. Cheese nachos and the salsa variety were a hit. Everyone loved their entrees (fish tacos, shrimp tacos, shrimp fajitas, chicken alambres and chimichangas). Portions were good for the price. We will be back. If you want authentic Mexican food, this is a must visit. read more
