Simply fantastic! Amazing flavors, great portion size and terrific staff. 10 stars out of 5. High marks for Zaika!!!

We ordered take out because we had dined their previously and loved the food. We were so disappointed with the takeout food. Ordered lacha parantha and it was raw in the middle. Shahi paneer's description said "soft" paneer and what we got was hard as a rock paneer. It's so sad because we drove so far to pick up food from them and it was garbage. read more

Went to Zaika to celebrate my friend's farewell party. We were a group of 4 and did prebook our table 2 hours ahead. The ambience of the place is amazing, its a good blend of a classy meets zen ! We ordered the Cottage on the Pond appetizer and it was really delicious. One of the best appetizers I had in a while. For food, we ordered Nargisi Kofta, Classic Butter Chicken and Dal Makhani with Garlic Naan and a side of rice. Our server was super friendly and took care of the extras diligently. The restaurant manager checked in on us and made sure we liked everything we ordered. The staff was amazing and delivered excellent service. The food was amazing in presentation as well as taste. Loved the menu - its smart and comprehensive. I loved how the dishes lived upto the name and the concept of this restaurant. Overall, its a really good restaurant where you can come for celebrations. I am yet to try the Thali which is served during lunch but I know for sure this will not be my last visit. Great job Zaika team read more

Subtracted one star because the chicken in the Chicken Tikka Masala was too dry and we found a bone in one of the pieces. Besides that, everything was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be ordering from here again. read more

The space is pretty with all the large windows, but it was really cold on a February evening. Service was good, but not exceptional for 18% automatic gratuity. The Biryani was tasty and the Butter Chicken was good as well, but didn't blow us away for the prices. I would recommend the Paratha bread though! read more

Ordered a pickup order through DoorDash this evening. The order was accepted and said it was being made, then I walked all the way to the restaurant only to be told that my order was canceled. Very disappointed. It was a waste of 30 minutes of my time that could have been avoided by canceling the order through the app. read more

Excellent food! Ordered 3 days in a row and food was consistently good. Recommend evaluating order apps and using reliable ones. Restaurant owner was extremely amicable. read more

The only good thing was the speedy delivery. The food is the worst "Indian" food I've had from any restaurant. There was no flavor to anything, and all the dishes were full of cream. We ordered daal mukhni, their vegetarian tali, and decided to try a burger, and everything was extremely and terrible. I'd recommend trying literally any other Indian restaurant in Seattle. read more

First time visiting this restaurant. We ordered Dal Tadka, Roganjosh, and Karai Paneer along with garlic naan. The best naan I have ever tasted and paneer was scrumptious. The flavors in each dish were so nuanced that it felt more like home cooked food! The only negative was the high price given the small size of each entree! read more

I ordered a non veg thali for lunch through doordash. It was delicious and a big portion! Highly recommend it.

Best fine dining experience with a wonderful and creative vegetarian menu after a long long time. Cauliflower Koliwada was simply amazing with wonderful chutney. Dahi Sev Puri with yoghurt mousse and chutney (I could sense rose-water if not wrong) was refreshingly delicious. Jackfruit Sheesh Kebab was out of this world with three or four different kind of condiments. Paneer pinwheel was kind of a precious artwork floating in a mouth-watering makhni sauce and just melted in mouth. I could taste the stuffing with pistachio and what not. Simply blissful! Rosemary naan was a perfect flavorful match with all sauces. Dal Bukhara was very unique in color, flavor and taste. At the end the pistachio kulfi made our evening. The service by Amelio was flaw-less. The host Nitin was very kind to us and made no stones unturned in making us feel very special with a delightful dinner. Congratulations Zaika!! You simply rock!! read more

Trying too hard and getting it wrong. I've never been to an Indian restaurant with no vegan options. Atmosphere was mediocre at best. Would have done better to simply focus on the drinks and a faux Bollywood theme. read more

Highly recommend this place for those who love Indian food with a twist. From the chef's own creation of goat cheese stuffed kulchas to chicken fondue to the musthaves cauliflower koliwada and kale chaat, one cannot go wrong. The portions were generous so keep in mind to leave some space for the daulat ki chaat dessert. I recommend getting a la carte family style to get a taste of all their popular dishes. Make sure you go in hungry to do justice to their menu! Our server Auri was so sweet and the service was excellent. We will be returning soon! read more

I've eaten here a few times. Their food is OK but nothing spectacular for the price you're paying. The portions are also small compared to other places in Seattle in my opinion. read more

I work & live in the neighborhood & cannot thank this restaurant more for opening! The staff is amazing & run their tushies off with ease and grace while packed tables of patrons enjoy the killer ambiance, tasty cocktails and mouthwatering meals. Seriously- I'm impressed by their chai old fashioned (I freaking love a good spin off of a classic!), kale chaat & garlic prawns & rosemary lamb chops. read more

Great food! I go there every week and zaika never disappoint me! One of my fav place. I can't wait to be back to Seattle!!

If I could give a rating higher than 5 stars I totally would. This is my new favorite spot, and perfect place for indian food, wether you are looking for fusion, authentic, or just overall amazing drinks and ambience. Skylar and Genevieve accommodated to us extremely well, and made our birthday celebration even better. Already have my next visit planned. read more

Last night we tried Zaika. This is like an immature cousin of Rooh in San Francisco. However, it fills a massive void in the Indian food restaurant experience in Seattle. The drinks were good. Chai Old Fashion was subtle but enjoyable and the Mumbai Mule was on point, sweet with a spicy kick that balanced the drink very well. The sesame cheese toast is a must try appetizer. Our friends ordered a second plate of it! I don't want to scare you off with the amount of calories in one piece. Each bite was delicately crispy and as you bite down, the fat oozes out from the bread and cheese. Delicious fatty goodness. I do think the garlic needs to be more robust. The entrees we ordered were the apricot chicken kebabs and the butter chicken with rosemary Naan. Butter chicken was a good measure to decide if we would come back. It was creamy, slightly sweet and without excessive oil (you know the places where the gravy starts to separate after sitting). The Naan was fluffy and the rosemary was perfect with the butter chicken. The desserts were my least favorite of the meal. I had the kanafeh. Comparing it to the kanafeh I had in the Middle East, it just didn't compare. The couple with us had the ice cream dish, which for me was not texturally appetizing. The pistachio cream was gritty, the noodles were soft and added nothing to the dish in my opinion and the only crunch was from the phyllo dough, which was visually exciting but was a weak crunch to balance out the soft textures of the rest of the dish. We will definitely return to try some of the other dishes. I would recommend it and I hope this place thrives in the future. read more

They are totally tripping out charging $5 per condiment sauce. In general, prices are very high across the board, while portions are relatively small. This gimmicky style of restaurant/bar that gives you less and charges you much more is not needed in Seattle. We already have far too much of that. We need to get back to some good old school basics in terms of traditional food done very well at value. Not over hyped, over priced, underportioned food trying to be much cooler than it really is. I think a lot of Indian food in London would even be cheaper and obviously so much better, as the biggest difference. I'd rather learn how to cook Indian dishes at home than face the difficult parking and be so disappointed here. read more

One of the few best Indian food places in seattle Try their malai kofta Shahi panner Kadhai panner Also pleasantly surprised with the baigan bharta Amazing food read more

Really impressed by the takeout we got from Zaika as every dish was really flavorful and delicious - they instantly became my new favorite Indian place. read more

Malai kofta and veg biryani were good in taste. Even naan was good. So, good taste and decent quantity.

We had a fantastic dinner at Zaika! Loved the Cauliflower starter, even our 5 year old liked it! The paneer pinwheel and butter chicken were outstanding. We also tried their burger which came with peri peri fries and the dish was so fresh, crisp and yum! We will definitely be returning to try other starters, main course and this time their desserts as well. read more

Zaika rocks! Are there minor issues, yes -like parking, pricing being on the higher side, limited menu, etc. But the food quality is outstanding. Lunch thali gives you a several options to get a taste for what's on offer. For $15 I wasn't able to finish everything on my plate and it wasn't for the lack of how good it was. Samosa was outstanding and the small quality of sauces on the plate served as great accompaniments - especially the red spicy sauce. Curries were on the milder side with chole being a bit one dimensional, the paneer tikka Masala served was rich and extremely tasty and simply outstanding. Salad was fresh, dal was soothing, dry mix vegetable was simple yet extremely flavorful. There was plenty of garlic naan and rice to enjoy the food with. Desert was a small piece of rasmalai, though the flavor was standard like store bought but still a prefect end to a perfect meal. Cannot wait to go back and try the dinner menu. Parking is a nightmare to find on the street unless you get extremely lucky but the food was so good that I would happily go through the trouble. Please keep the quality up and you will be around for a long time, make sure you don't go the route of other Indian restaurants where it all goes downhill once they get popular and successful. Keep up the good work!! read more

Came here for dinner and was looking forward to a new Indian place in Seattle. However, was extremely disappointed with the food which was too oily to be edible read more

No food over 30 mins after being notified it was ready for pickup. Told it would be another 15mins. Don't bother

Since my first time at Vijs in Vancouver, I have been craving and searching for Indian food that stretches beyond my regular comforts of Palak Paneer and Naan. Zaika not only scratched this itch for me, it exceeded it. It was a date night out so we went BIG ordering the Kale Chaat, Cauliflower Koliwada, Cottage on the Pond, Garlic Naan, Lamb Pepper Fry and Paneer Pinwheel. Not a single appetizer survived and I was thrilled to have enough leftovers of our main courses for future meals. The spice level is there, so if you have aversion to heat I would suggest asking for the milder dishes. The Sapphire Shikanji hit the mark and my husband loved the heat off the Gulabo" cocktails. Stick to the Non-Traditional menu, they're doing some really fun and outstanding dishes here. I will forever miss the taste of El Diablo (RIP Tango), but my night at Zaika gave me the same happy spice that I'll be craving for awhile! read more

Zaika is a new bar in downtown Seattle that brings a new flavor to the scene. Their combination of food/drink/service is unmatched. The people running the operation are as experienced veterans that'll ensure you have as good of an experience as any. These are good people that deserve your business. read more

Great food, creative cocktails and mocktails, and amazing quality of service! Not your average Indian restaurant; the decor inside is cozy enough to make you feel at home, but fun enough to fit the vibe. They do Indian spins on traditional cocktails like their Chai Old Fashioned's and their Mumbai Mule's and have happy hour even on the weekends. Would recommend for anyone looking for good quality Indian food in a casual fine dining setting! read more

Unique and complex flavors with a right balance of taste, texture and flavors! Absolutely loved every dish we ordered, the owner even gave a brief understanding of each item with a lot of enthusiasm and depth of knowledge of different Indian preparations, as Indians we don't get the same level of complexity of flavors here in States but this was close to home and beyond! read more

I was pleasantly surprised by Zaika. We don't have a lot of great Indian food downtown (composted to the Eastside) but Zaika had a great looking menu. We tried the dal makhani, the chicken saagwala, and the lamb paav. All were delicious, and on top of the Naan, rice, and appetizers (the kale chaat was excellent), we ended up with a lot of delicious leftovers. Glad we have such a great go-to Indian place in cap hill! read more

Really cool atmosphere and delicious food. Literally, the best chicken i've ever had. Super moist and delicious. For the main course, i had the lamb. It was cooked perfectly with great flavor. The bartenders and rest of the staff were all super friendly and helpful. This place is a great new addition to the area. I will definitely be back again with friends, family, and coworkers!, read more

I had two friends visiting from Los Vegas today and we went to Zaika for lunch, since I live nearby. The food was excellent (we had the vegetarian and non vegetarian thali). one of my friends ordered the Mumbai Mule, Zaika's version of a Moscow Mule but with mango and habanero and it was very flavorful and delicious. The service was efficient and friendly. I'll be back for sure! read more

We've ordered delivery via Uber Eats from them twice now. The Tandoori Chicken Burger is super-tasty--I just wish it had been more substantial! The Peri-Peri Fries were wonderfully spicy--just make sure you have plenty of napkins on hand, or else the rest of you will be well-spiced too! Food tends to be a little more tepid than expected, but we're hoping for more piping-hot food temperatures once we can dine in-person. read more

While strolling around downtown Seattle we ended up at Zaika and decided to tried their indian burger as it was advertised on their front door for $8.99. When I went inside to pick up, the guy was like $13.99 plus tax. After asking him about the offer that was by the door, he was like this is old ad, I mean come on? The burger was definitely not worth $13.99 and they didn't even have any side like fries or salad read more

Worst Indian food in Seattle, the biryanis is the worst biryanis I've had. Overpriced as crazy

I ordered from here on July 3rd and again today. The gravy of their dishes taste pretty good and hence I ordered again. But on both instances the quality of their chicken (atleast in the butter chicken) is terribly rubbery. I initially thought it was a one off, or overcooked but it happened again today. I cant eat any of the remaining pieces. I might still order from them but not their butter chicken anymore. Naan, raita, daal are pretty decent. read more
