First time trying their pizza and By far the best pizza will be coming back here again. 5 Stars for sure!

Phenomenal pizza. The owner, Leo, makes all his pizzas to order, so be prepared to wait. If you decide to pick up the pizza, give it a good 30 minutes (40 minutes on Friday nights). It will be worth it. This isn't Little Caesar's or some 99c/a slice joint. It is a small, cozy, hole-in-wall with only about 4 chairs but this place is all about the pizza. As the other review stated, this is NOT thin crust pizza. Nowhere on Zac's menu/site will it even say that. This is labeled as "Heavenly Light Crust" and rightly so. The crust is airy and flavourful like a croissant, with crisp edges. I always get the Italiano Originale - an addictive blend of anchovies, tomatoes, basil and real mozarella cheese. My partner is faithful to his half-half combo of Zac's Special (spicy roasted chicken) and Salty-Spicy (smoked salmon and anchovies). The pizza is never smothered in tomato sauce, instead, it is just kissed with enough sauce to ensure that the flavors of basil and cheese aren't overwhelmed. We literally spend a couple of hundred bucks a month here and cannot stop eating this glorious pizza. I live in Richmond and will drive to Vancouver for this every time. My suggestion is that you try more than one type as it took me a couple of tries to find 'my pizza'. Now I'm hooked. Approx $25 for a large may not seem expensive...but when you eat one pie per person in one sitting it can add up. I'm 5'7 and 115 lbs and I eat an entire pizza to myself once or twice a week. It's that good. Try this if you want to get a real taste of Mediterranean-style pizza (the owner is Greek). NOT if you're looking for big-city/NorthAmerican style pie. I love NYC thin crust pizzas too, but we're talking apples and oranges here. If you like, you can come in to Zac's and watch your pie being made and chat with Leo! A caveat: you may get addicted, as my circle of friends has. Then you will have a new $50 a week habit. *salads also available*

Super impressed with this pizza and I take pizza pretty seriously. I doubt I'll order from anywhere else now. It's too good. Hidden gem!

Another solid pizza institution. tonite, ordered a winner's choice after hockey: salami, ham, mushrooms, green peppers, & onions. Quite healthy w/ those veggies. Great crust, w/ great texture. a tad more, $16 for a small, 6 pieces but sure was yummy at this time of nite. Will repeat. only about 5 good parking spots on their block, and forget abt the narrow side streets. Cash only!

Spicy Shrimp and Green Onion (My son's own toppings.)

I have been getting pizza from Zaccary's on and off for almost 20 years. It has NEVER disappointed. My fave is the New Yorker.

Who carries cash around these days? Decent enough pizza but must lose a lot of business over the cash only policy. Disappointing.

Our picky 6yo son will eat some variant of this dish most of the time. The restaurant is gorgeous - brightly lit, classy, and arranged on two floors, each with a dedicated kitchen. The upstairs even has an open kitchen. Despite feeling very upscale, the restaurant is super welcoming to all, from families with kids, after-work crowds, folks on dates, and even well-dressed stockbrokers discussing their latest trades. The food was outstanding and had inspirations from Italian, Mexican and Japanese influences: 1. The kid's cheese pizza turned out really good - thin crust, Neapolitan style with slightly charred puffy crust from the wood oven. Our son ate most of it before the brick-chicken arrived! 2. The smaller dishes are meant to be shared - the Japanese Sweet Potatoes and Roasted Cauliflowers are good sides for a protein-rich entree. Wife ordered the lighter Baja Scallops and enjoyed them. 3. The star of the dinner was the Brick-Pressed half chicken. Crispy seared crust and super-moist meat underneath. Unlike many places they added a bit of spice from the chilis and even mixed in some beef tallow for additional richness. Our son enjoyed it too, and was not fazed by the slight heat from the chilis. A crispy skin always elevates a chicken! Highly recommend Nightingale for epic food, great service, and welcoming vibe. Reservations are available but make them early. The restaurant was packed even on a Wednesday evening!

Service was very quick, friendly and engaging. I really liked the chicken nice coating and crisp to it. Pizza was underwhelming - tasted a bit burnt to be frank. rest of the dishes had nice flavor - however didn't have much of a wow factor - Good place to try out - maybe one day will be back to explore the menu -

They quickly jumped at my presence and returned to their stations as if they're caught slacking off. First idea was to order a deep dish but a few moments later upon entry I decided otherwise. I opted for 2 slices and a pop. Meatloaf and cheese. The sever didn't bother to warm them. They were dry and like old pizzas. Taste is okay/sub/average considering the price but very unlikely I will return.

I didn't have very high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised by the pizzas here. They offer a variety of veggie and meat pizzas that can be made with regular crust or deep dish style. We ordered a small deep dish margharita ($19.99) and a medium deep dish butter chicken ($23.99) pizza. Both weren't true deep dish pizzas, but the crust was nice and thick. I'd recommend the pizzas here to anyone who likes a breadier crust. My only minor complaint is that the pizzas didn't have enough sauce to complement the thick crust. The pizzas kept well for leftovers too. They tasted just as good the next day heated up in our toaster oven.
