This place is pretty chill but they could have more color options for dip powder. All the nail techs are great except Ada stay far away from her I've never disliked my nails so much as when she did them and from the comments I see so far I'm not the only one. read more

For highland ladies i recently visited the nail salon by Hannaford on 9W mind you i barely make anything and its so rare for me to go and get my nails done this lady with black long hair did my nails and at the end of the service she wanted to charge me 20% tip like i was already giving her a tip but she stated that in their buisness they charge a % I was a little taken back because ive never experienced such embarrassment has anyone else had the same experience because for some rzn she only did it to me and the whole time I was there she kept trying to push acrylics on me when I just wanted simple dip powder read more

I've been getting nail services here for several years because it is convenient, mainly. A male nail tech named Vincent is great for ANC. As mentioned the incessant chatter - the owner will come over to another workers station and loudly speak about 6 inches away from his face for several minutes during a standard appointment. Also agree with another reviewer, I've been ungratefully shamed for leaving a 20% tip, very crass owner named Ada. Despite these shortcomings I still make appointments here. Today's experience is also on multiplier-- Calling 1hour ahead to make an appointment-- to be sure they have the time and I'm not waiting for.... well in today's case 42 minutes. So if youre trying to squeeze something in and they tell you, "Sure no problem," it really means reservations are useless, best of luck. read more

Waited over an hour for a scheduled appointment. Super annoying! Should get a discount when you wait an hour. And they really don't care.

I have honestly been here many times! Really hoping for change.. The service is beyond disappointing. The price increases are not comparable to any quality of service. Of ALL Hudson Valley Nail Salons it is the most unenjoyable experience I have ever encountered. The technicians do not stop having conversations among themselves, this goes on non stop loudly for 45 minutes. No cuticle oil, no heel paraffin wax, & massage is less than a few minutes. You cannot speak to any of them - no English. I'm done now- crossing the bridge to Poughkeepsie from now on!! read more

Save tour money! Ive come here for a long time and put up with their lack of professionalism and less than subpar quality of work. I tried calling to make an appointment and because the woman answering had me on speaker phone and I couldn't hear her she hung up on me. When I called back she started screaming at me. I've had a couple of pedicures here in the past several weeks. Yuki is a GREAT technician! Not only is she friendly and seemingly kind, but she is mild-mannered, not aggressive or pushy at all. What do I like best about her? She takes her time with the pedicure and she ASKS you how you want your toe nails shaped and ASKS if it's OK to cut them down, or if you'd rather have them filed down instead. She really does a great job and is very appreciative of you as a customer. I don't know how I missed this place but I'm glad I've recently discovered it! read more

It seems as though this is a place where they train people. My nails looked 100% better when I walked in. When I left, I had to go to another nail place to have them fix my nails. I have tried this place four or five times thinking it would get better, but it got worse. Go to New Paltz! read more

I live local so I figure give this place a shot. the first time I only got a mani. it was decent, although I had to ask for the tech to please attend to my cuticles even though that's a part of a mani. Today I go in for a fill with gel polish. my nails were already coffin shaped, although to touch up with the file I had to pay for the whole shape again. Idk a little frustrating. as she's moving along I looked at my nails a few times, while she sat and stared at me and quickly grabbed my hand to continue. I let it go. by the end 5 nails are totally crooked. I asked a few times for her to fix what I showed her and she just held up a nail file and spoke in her language. I tipped her and as I'm leaving I heard her whisper "bitch " . I gotta say, that definitely was a first. I was very polite the ENTIRE time. I thanked her for her service. Very disappointed read more

2 minutes agoNEW I have to preface this by saying that EVERY other time I have ever been to this establishment I have had nothing but 5 star performances by the technicians that have worked on me. Today, unfortunately, this was not my experience. This is the first time that I have had this particular technician, and hopefully she just needs a little more training. First she did get the water nice and hot like I like but she barely ever let me soak my feet in it at all during the whole time. It all felt rushed and unfortunately the "30 min" massage was not very good. It was almost totally her just rubbing the lotion around and when she did apply pressure, she actually hurt more then helped. As I stated from the beginning, this has never been my experience prior to today and would still recommend this place to anyone, but I hope someone can take the time to retrain this person to get her up to the usual extremely excellent performance I have grown to appreciate about this normally great establishment. read more
