I was very hesitant to even write a review... because I don't want to share the best nail tech I have ever had. Sueheidi just happened to do my nails right before I almost gave up on this salon. She is by far the most attentive nail tech, she goes above and beyond to make sure you are getting the design, color, shape, and quality of manicure that you're looking for. I have never been cut by her, had my nails over filed, crooked... every experience has been such a pleasant one with her. She even went so far as to recommend a different & healthier type of manicure since I was looking to keep my nails natural & long. She is extremely sweet and goes above and beyond with every appointment. As far as the ownership... I am more than relieved that Brian is no longer running the salon. Like the other reviews state I too was scheduled for appointments by him & when I showed up my nail tech was not even working that day. I hope the new owners take their scheduling more seriously & take down names and phone numbers to make the business more reliable. Usually it's not bad but DONT go to candy. She is genuinely the worst nail lady I have ever been to in my entire life. All I asked for was to get my hard gel removed. First she cut my nails while the hard gel was still on with a nail clipper, which absolutely destroyed my upper nail. Then when removing the polish she put the machine so high it hurt my finger and when I asked her to lower it she was rude. Then when using the machine again just with a different attachment she cracked the side of two of my nails because she was rushing so much. She then barely filed them, leaving them with no shape, smoothness or anything. She didn't even cut one of my nails, she just left it. read more

PLEASE READ !!! I went here for a manicure recently and got stuck with the male technician. He handled my fingers so aggressively, twisting them forcefully and digging his nails into the sides of my fingers while working. It was one of the most uncomfortable things I've ever experienced. He then proceeded to take the electric filer and shave my cuticles and nail bed down to the next layer of my flesh until I screamed out in pain. You can see in the picture how damaged my nails are, now that they've grown out. The pink lines are from where he shaved down my nails unnecessarily. He apologized and then proceeded to do the same with the rest of my nails. Will NOT be returning here again and it'll take months for my damaged nails to grow out. read more

I started coming here a few months ago and all three sets I have had done they did phenomenal. The nail techs are amazing and they can do anything I ask for. I got a complicated set my first time and the nail tech did so good. I recently got my set off and wanted to go back to natural nails, and typically your nails are not in great condition and thin after acrylics. They treated my nails so well and they feel amazing. I must say that I am impressed with my nails and my pedicure. I visited 5th Ave nails after a friend recommended the business. My two regular nail locations were extremely packed for a Saturday so I gave 5th ave a shot. Although they are by appointment only they still took me in. The nail tech did not complain about my ugly bitten nails, they didn't talk me into getting my nails longer or the design and they gave me everything I asked for. They were quick, I was out at decent time and my nails look great and my feet felt good. I took away a star because they were a bit higher priced than my normal locations but all and all I was satisfied with the service. read more

I went in for a pedicure and when they were cutting my cuticles they more so pulled them off. When I said that it was painful she said "just a little more" and kept tugging. Now it feels like I have an ingrown nail where she pulled off the cuticle and it's painful to put sneakers on OH JOY. Besides that, the rest of the pedicure was as basic as you can get, my nails are unevenly filed and considering they ripped off some of my cuticles they totally missed others. My sister got a pedicure as well and she was also disappointed. I would absolutely not go back. read more

It started off as a bad experience the parking lot is horrible there's not enough space for the business. I called ahead and made a appointment and then when I get there they said there's no appointment in the book. So I was very frustrated I was only going to get a acrylic fill and one nail fixed. I had to go back within 3 days of getting Gel Nails done due to paint coming off. It was also horrible and nothing like I wanted so since I had to spend time there again I asked to just redo them all since I have to have them on my nails for a few weeks. They then decided instead of redoing them no charge (they were 75 for a fill last time) they would charge me 20 because theyre french...& then i wanted a few different greens and it was then 30 so i paid 105 + tips both times This time when I left it was the next day the paint was coming off. absolute worst experience for a nail salon. i've been here before and had okay experiences, but i will never go back after today. i waited 15 minutes for someone to paint my nails for a simple gel manicure, and they had to call a young man to do my manicure. i was bleeding on two of my fingers, he spent 15 minutes picking at my cuticles, and once he actually got to painting my nails, he had to redo them 5 times and made me wait for someone else to do them, inconveniencing both me and the person whom he was helping with her manicure. my friend was also substantially overcharged, so i don't think i will be going back any time soon. i would give zero stars if i could honestly. read more

I've had an on and off relationship with 5th Avenue nails for the past couple of months. It began in the summer when I wanted an acrylic set and walked into the spa hoping it would be an easy process. I waited in the chair for quite some time and one of the female workers gave me attitude because I requested them. No problem, I'll make it easier for her. I changed it to a regular manicure. She obliged but rushed the entire process and made my nails uneven! Needless to say the manicure didn't last very long. The second time I came here, it was with my mother and they completely disregarded our service. We left almost after 20 mins of waiting. I continuously kept asking the lady who was performing the services to put her mask ON and above her Nose. And the lady who put on my full set "coffin style"...did a horrendous job‍. Really pretty in the inside, parking is a little tough though. Overall everyone in there is friendly and all of them say hi and make you feel welcomed right when you walk in the door. I got a gel manicure and I'm a college student so i got a discount. So i paid $23 instead of $25. Bryan is the probably the best one in that salon! Gel nails came out really pretty! The only thing i don't like about that salon is that they reuse buffers. When she was budding my nails it looked like she used that same one on like 10 other people. Disappointing! This was my first and last visit to this salon. The services menu specified exfoliation, but my heels were barely touched, let alone exfoliated. I repeated asked and gestured that I wanted my nailed cut and filed short and rounded. I ended up with straight rather than rounded, as well as jagged, uneven nails, and rough cuticles showing on several nails once the soak moisture went away. I had to fix it myself at home a couple of hours later. Also, at nearly every place I have been to for my pedicures, a brief shoulder/neck massage is given when you are sitting at the dryers. Here, I was completely ignored once they sat me at the dryer. I would not recommend a pedicure based on my experience. read more

The worst! I went here after a recommendation from a co-worker. She said it is usually pretty busy but no longer than 30 minutes. I got there by 2:15 p.m. and asked for an ANC Dip nail manicure. I had already soaked off my previous manicures at home. I was told that it would take 20 minutes. After about 45 minutes, I approached the desk and asked how much longer of a wait it would be and was told that they thought I had been taken care of already. I clearly hadn't as I was complaining and mentioned that other ladies had just gotten up from the waiting chairs to a manicurist's chair without anyone saying anything. The gentleman at the desk told me to wait 15 more minutes. Annoyed but committed to getting my nails done at this point, I stayed. I finally got in a chair and the manicurist brings over a set for a gel manicure. I told her I wanted an ANC Dip manicure. She started filing and cleaning the nails and then asked me what color I wanted. I said I don't want a Gel manicure, I want the ANC Dip manicure again. Confused, the woman went and grabbed the color book. I showed her the color I wanted and she said Gel, meanwhile that was the same color/book that the gentleman had told me was their ANC book. Two hours deep already, I said whatever and had her do a Gel manicure. Not even 48 hours later, the manicure peeled. I've been a customer with this nail salon for over 5 years and since last year their customer service has been HORRIBLE!!!! I use to go to, the now owner, Brian but now acts as if he's too busy or doesn't want to be bothered. I been to a few ppl that work there and they aren't as good. I had a female in there do my nails, I asked for coffin and got square on one hand. I brought it to the attention of the Brian the owner and his response was " There's nothing wrong with them" and laughed. Appointments forget about it, u still have to wait when u have one. The day before my wedding, I had an appointment for a Friday at 12pm for 6 girls to have mani/pedis. I called up twice in advance to be sure they'd be able to have all of us. None of us are from the area, so this was everyone's first time here. It took us forever to figure out where this place was even, but we finally figured it out and still got in on time. However, they were not at all ready for us. The small waiting area was overflowing with people. After 15 minutes, my bridesmaids were all given pedicure chairs next to one another. Two people came over to start giving pedicures. The other three bridesmaids were left in their chairs with their feet in the water for 45 minutes before anyone came over! We were very patient and didn't make a big fuss, but it was super annoying to waste so much time there. We had a super busy day ahead of us. My bridesmaids seemed fairly happy with their mani/pedis (though they could have been lying to me so I didn't worry) but I was not. I had the absolute worst manicure of my life here. It was so rushed and took 10-15 minutes total. After they told me I was done drying, a nail was smudged immediately. I was so annoyed and late I didn't even care to have it redone. There were just no where near enough people working here when I came. There were enough stations to hold everyone who was there, but just not enough employees working. I just wish the nail salon told us they would not be able to fulfill the appointment when we got there, seeing how busy they were. Perhaps the service would be better if they weren't so busy, so I'm giving them 2 stars for the benefit of the doubt here. Can't say enough good things about 5th Ave Nails. Jackie, Kelly & Bryan are all so nice!! It's clean, well lit, beautifully decorated. And 25$ for a mani & pedi for marist students?! That's incredible. and they do a very nice job. gotta love student discounts :) Bryan's pedicures are on point. Very thorough. Go for the callus remover, its worth it. If you're looking for Opi Axxium Gel Manicures, they do them here for $25 or $45 if you want your toes done too. You'll get great service here. Fantastic salon- worth it! read more

I've been going to this salon for a little over a year. However, when you ask for an appointment it's not honored. Several times I made an appointment to have my nails done when I get there my wait is over an hour. One of the technicians manages to always tell the tech that is doing my nails that I am difficult to work with, however she cut me and then herself during one of the times she did my nails. I also have an issue with asking for something that someone can't do. If you are out of a product, state so before I sit down to get my nails done, or if you know that you can't do a design, don't say you can and then tell me I need to come back when someone else is working. My last time there while I was getting my nails done and three times they called my tech to go do someone's eyebrows. If I have to wait an hour to get my nails done, they should have to wait also. Their customer service has really taken a turn for the worse over the last year. I am very disappointed that I spend so much money in their salon to be treated so nasty by a majority of the staff. Once again as of today 6/13/18 made an appointment for 645p, I arrive and I'm told I need to come back. I guess they like losing customers.
