When you have such a name for a restaurant, everyone working there and the owner(s) should show pride and emphasis in upholding its name. To begin, it took them a while to bring water to our table. We were looking at the menu for over 5 minutes. Then when I was ordering I was ppointing AT the lunch special section to order food. The section says a complimentary item of soup/salad/spring roll so I'd thought it would come with any at the restaurant's choosing since the girl taking my order didn't ask which one nor did she bother to mention how the lunch special works. Maybe I should have asked her for clarity but isn't it a restaurant worker's job to assist people with their orders and provide clarity?? All she asked was what style of noodles or rice and with what kind of protein we wanted. Our entrées didn't take too long to come and we were surprised at the portion size. We were about 1/3 through eating our entrees and still didn't get our complimentary items. Had to flag down the guy working by the front; I said we ordered the lunch special and wondering where the complimentary items are at. He replied with a very confused look - You ordered the lunch? He went to check the system and came back to say the order was at 3 PM and order isn't a lunch special. And I asked - Isn't the lunch menu from 11:30 to 3 PM? Yes, there must have been a communication problem he said. And told him when I was ordering I was pointing AT the menu so how was there a problem? Seems like the girl totally ignored where I was pointing on the menu? She didn't ask if I wanted regular or lunch special to make sure? Rude to change to a regular order without asking. The system also First and foremost they are not living up to its restaurant name very well. Rude to change to a regular order without asking. The system also didn't show that order was put in after the lunch special time! That's just not ethical. So the guy said he'll have to charge regular price for the entrées because of the size and asked if we still wanted the extra items. Still got charged for them. *face palm* As good business practice the lunch special price should have been honored as an apology because it was THEIR fault. Now let's talk about the food. The flavors weren't as strong as Thai food is known for, especially the lemongrass seasoning, usually in Woon Sen style dishes (we ordered one with pork) and it didn't taste fresh? Also I think they used chicken instead? The Shrimp Pad See Ew flavor was okay, unfortunately the shrimps weren't very fresh and the noodles so overcooked (no chewiness left at all) you could just swallow it without chewing. At least the mushroom soup and the Thai Iced Tea were okay and didn't taste watered down. The spring roll was a joke. It was ONE and was the length of a 3 inch soy sauce dipping sauce plate because it was served in one! Not even sure how this place has been in business for a long as it has been, probably having a bar helps with its vibes. As someone who is of partly Southeast Asian heritage and have Thai relatives this was a disappointing meal. I think I will be sticking to what my elders taught me as #1 rule eating at any Asian restaurant, make sure there are always Asian people in there and have plenty of Asian people reviews for authenticity. This spot did not have "Yummy Thai" and glad we didn't get sick from the food. And anyone who knows authentic Thai food would expect alot with such a restaurant name.

Decent local Thai eatery. I like the decor and courteous staff members. Nice cozy place for dates or casual dining. I ordered take out red tofu veggie curry, Thai dumplings, and Thai stir fried rice. The red curry was decent but I've had better. My favorite was the fried rice and Thai dumplings. I usually don't like fried rice but theirs are tasty. The Thai dumplings were delicious, must have appetizer. Looking for a cozy spot for hot Thai food, yummy Thai is an option. I thought the food that I ordered, that was thai chicken wings, and green curry were average. My lychee martini was five stars and the best one I've had ever. I thought the service was pretty good. I was told that since they charged a sur charged fee, if you use credit/debit, I decided to use cash instead to avoid the fee. The thing that impressed me the most about this restaurant is how beautiful it is. The decorations, from the lighting, and what looks like someone plant a tree in the middle of it. They had a beautiful bench in an area all decorated and dressed up for social media attention. It was really nice inside. They also had outdoor dining, but this particular day was a bit breezy. The food was just ok. I was expecting more flavor from my green curry. My Thai wings were just crispy chicken, served with sweet chili sauce. Nothing phenomenal. I will give a thumbs up, the prices are pretty good, my drink was amazing, and they have a really good happy hour deal. Not to mention, my overall experience was not bad, but just ok. HAPPY YELPING!

Ok Guys! I ordered an early take-out dinner here. I got the Thai noodles w/ vegetarian duck. This was very tasty would definitely order this again. I also go the fried dumplings it was different than I expected but ok not really for me. Ohhh, I really enjoyed the cold tea at the bar they add some kind of milk to it. It's very very good & for only $4 u can't beat it. It's in a clear beverage canister. The place is clean, & clean air. No smelly, smoky restaurant smell like some places. The prices r fair to be be in NYC. Transportation: Take A train to last stop W. 207th St / Bway or #1 Train to 207th St & walk up (3) blocks to Bway. It's in Inwood so it's safe enough. Staff is friendly! It's a beautiful restaurant u can sit in & eat if u like. Large enough to bring a group of ppl indoor & outdoor dining. Enjoy! I definitely, recommend this spot.

I passed this restaurant several times in several years and never been inside. Customer service is not there. There is missed opportunity. However, the food is delicious. We order the Pineapple Fried Rice Entree, Pad Thai Entree, and Calamari. They gave you more than enough portion that you can take home or share the dish. Cute ambience I will definitely come again. Affordable prices great for family date night or just eating alone.

Found hair at bottom on pineapple fried rice after getting delivery. Definitely not mine. Worst part is that it was all the way at the bottom after I'm almost done eating. Disgusting

I went to Inwood area to have my bike serviced, so met a friend who lives in the neighborhood. So we decided on Thai food (one of my fav for its distinct spiciness) We went there for a lunch. Ordered a Tom Yum soup, wished it was spicier. On asking they said I can add the red chilly paste they provide you, that does not do it. But it was tolerable. Pad Kra Pow and Pad nam prik were our main courses. The dishes were scrumptious and big portion, actually 2 people can eat them. Came with white rice. I had pad nam made spicy but again that Thai kick was not there. Overall a good place, they do alot of pick n drops so it seems its a popular takeaway spot. The ride back to Bronx on Fordham road couldnt be more delightful after their food!!!

Lunch time for a party of one in Inwood, Manhattan. This Thai cafe is conveniently located nearby the A train at 207th Street (last stop in Northern Manhattan). Lunch special of large shrimp Pad Thai with salad $9.50 was average. It was very greasy and the portion was small for a platter. The salad peanut dressing was very bland and insufficient. Oddly, the salad was planted on the same plate as most standard Thai restaurants have serve the salad separately- a individual salad bowl and the Pad Thai in its own noodle bowl. Straight forward service without any malarkey. Certainly not authentic Thai cuisine as the food is too sweet. I overheard the staff (bar tender server, bus boy and female waitress) all speaking Spanish and far remote resembling anything Asian. This cafe has a bamboo decor with a large photo of a large Buddha with a background of a Buddhist temple, perhaps Wat Sena Sanaram, Ayutthaya? Tables are align set and filled with Western utensils rather than the traditional Asian utensils and no chopsticks in plain sight. Chopsticks are available by request only. Service is average. Air conditioned environment which was a nice cool down from the blazing humidity and summer's heat. Tap water is served in mason jars. While sitting at the bar I noticed a large glass jug of sangria which was enticing but no bits of fresh fruit was embedded. Takeout menu is available for grabs.

We were seated promptly , then given our customary beverage orders (Thai iced tea, of course). And while mulling over the menu with excellent choices , our server Salina suggested certain items for dinner. Her recommendations were spot on. We tried the papaya salad, soft shell crab, deboned duck, crispy pork with noodles. And the crispy branzino... everything was devoured quickly!! The dishes were full of flavor, but some were lacking in spiciness(our request really since we had a friend who could not tolerate spices). The post-meal dessert was very good as well. The interior was super nice, with very nice decors hung all around the restaurant. They had two floors, especially second floor was massive, so they were able to sit a lot guests. They had the both regular, lunch special and drinks menu. I ordered the crab fried rice dish from lunch menu. It came with a salad bowl. The salad just had lettuce and cherry tomatoes, mixed with some delicious dressing. The crab fried rice came with some cucumbers and two sauces. The sauces had such spicy kick, they enhanced the flavor of the rice and crab so much. They were excellent dipping sauce for the cucumbers too. Just loved the whole dish. Being lunch special, the portion was small, so I was sad when the plate was empty but I was still craving for more. For $32, I feel they could have served a bit more. But other lunch menu dishes were mostly around $18. The service was excellent. Several staff members constantly walked around the floor like Marshals, takings ordering, serving dishes, refilling water, taking out empty dishes, and doing checkouts right on the spot. After guests left, they were turning over the empty tables super quickly. No wonder we a table in such short time. Since it's so close to my work place, I'll be back here soon for sure to try other dishes.

They had a very respectable pad see ew beef - sweet and savory, good amount of egg, a little stronger bitter broccoli but otherwise a good dish, good quantity to fill you up even though in the bowl it seemed smaller than it actually was with the rice noodle cooked well. The steamed sea bass with garlic and lime (Pla Neueng Manow) had beautifully cooked sea bass with a very nice spicy/sour/savory green garlic sauce which I'll have to try again. The fried version is supposedly very good, too, and the one person that always gets the basil fried rice had a wonderful aroma that we'll have to try again later. Mango sticky rice was a tasty dessert (although we probably didn't need the 3 orders they recommended for our table of 6), though usually like I like the purple rice version better, and came with a very cute shovel spoon. They gave a free birthday dessert of caramel delight which was ok, crumbly and sweet (I'm not a caramel fan but others liked it). Overall, good experience and solid food - while not the best Thai I've ever had, this certainly is a keeper for the Midtown East area. Will come again soon to try the lunch specials! Service was a little slow due to how busy they were, but do appreciate the birthday candle for the birthday friend!

A quick ride on the LIRR or E Train will have you enjoying some of the best Thai food NYC has to offer. For me it all started with their Shrimp Croquettes that were fried to perfection and packed with flavor, then it was the Crispy Pork Belly, and for a second, I had to ask myself, am I in the Dominican Republic?! The crunch, seasoning, and flavor in every bite let me know immediately that they understood the crispy pork belly assignment! Let's not forget the cocktails! Each drink paired beautifully with the appetizers and dishes throughout our dining experience. Now, let's talk about the entrées. Their menu ranges from specialty seafood dishes to authentic, modern Thai cuisine. As a seafood lover, I especially appreciated the generous amount of Lump Crab meat in the Southern Crab Curry. The flavor was rich, comforting, and absolutely worth ordering. But the unexpected STAR of the night was the #TaroCustard! Who knew that the "everything bagel energy" could transfer so effortlessly into a dessert?! It was those crispy fried shallots that did it for me! If you're a true #Foodie, you already know sometimes it's that unexpected flavor assist/combination that creates pure magic on your tongue. These were new on the summer menu and I hope they stay! The dipping sauce in the calamari was sweet, tangy and syrupy with some heat but not too sweet. It was good without the sauce but with it, made it even better. The soft shell crab larb, wow, blew us away. The crunch and heat factor with the basil "salad" was out of this world. It is definitely spicy but is soo tasty. From their "privileged" menu, we had the duck chu chee which is a crispy roasted duck in a creamy mildly spicy red curry - the duck and curry was soo bomb, super crispy and stands out from other places. Finally the Royal Thai Spiced Lamb which is grilled lamb chops with karee curry sauce, snow pea tips and roti, sooo flavorful and so good. The veggies and the lamb paired so well with the curry sauce. It was not gamey or chewy but after all the appetizers I could not finish this dish. Even at some of the other notable Thai restaurants I've been to, their crab fried rice presentation was basic compared to this one. The egg on this fried rice was soft and melty the soon it touches your tongue, and we didn't even have to chew it. It melted perfectly with the buttery crab and the rice was so warm and soft. It was a sizable portion but it didn't take us long to gobble it all down. Then came the steamed branzino. The presentation here I want to say is so unique that it blew me away. The fish was cut so that the head and tail of the fish was chopped off (a little disappointed but glad it was clean cut), the fish was so soft you would question if it was even fish...the soup was lightly seasoned with chili and lime and it wasn't super overpoweringly spicy that you can still taste the fish flavor. Everything was delicious and they even had a pre fixe menu that I will definitely come back and try again! My drink I ordered was also very creative and a mix of strong bourbon with the creaminess of Thai tea. Very interesting combination but I don't hate it! It was strong and welcoming and I want to try the other drinks when I come back as well. As pictured, the drink menu is beautiful and our server came back and forth to make sure everything was okay. We actually stayed past closing hours but they weren't rushing us (which was very hospitable of them)

They were conscious of always keeping my water filled (I was very thirsty) and the timing of the courses was great. We weren't left sitting waiting for long for the next course but we also didn't feel rushed. The portions were large and I think it was a good deal for restaurant week. My friend ordered the pork chop for his entree and it came with two large chops. Good to take back as leftovers.
