I always see this spot in passing and think it looks cute from the outside. I came in out the cold randomly today as I wait for my rental. The ambiance is intimate and welcoming. I like it as it's cozy and comforting. This is my first time trying Thai food and I just unlocked what my 48 year old palette has been missing. I'll definitely come back.

Tana Thai has been my favorite local Thai restaurant for almost 10 years. I used to order every Friday night and now I order once a month. It is also my favorite place to order food when I have family and friends over to visit. Tonight I ordered the vegetable drunken noodles and the Thai spring rolls, 10/10 as always.

Sandwiched between a juice shop, an auto body shop just two doors down and a closed-down storefront is Tana Thai on Eastchester Rd in the Morris Park section of The BX. Not that I'm a Thai food master- or my sisters, but Tana T. made the cut for our hangout to have a meeting of the minds and talk about a planned trip in a few months. I do know (from what I've read and heard) that Thai food ranges from tasty, to fragrant with lemongrass, ginger, lime aromatics to sweet to salty and beyond. Tana's inside is dramatic but calming. Has hard wood flooring, rectangular dark stone-faced walls, ceiling wood beams and plants. Their extensive menu is flexible and includes something for everyone at reasonable prices. Our Papaya Salad, all-veggie dumplings and veggie spring roll appetizers were nice starters. Thai Iced Tea that my twin sister and I each had was nice and so was my naturally sweet coconut water with heavenly-soft coconut meat. Two of my sisters shared a chicken dish while my twin enjoyed her Shrimp Pad Thai. My lightly-battered Tilapia strips were meaty and delicate served with veggies in a garlic+pepper sauce. Yum! The Pistachio+Ricotta cake and the Chocolate+Hazelnut my sisters ordered came out frozen and mentioned it to Pookie which she warmed up. I appreciate her honesty when she mentioned these aren't made in-house. This small strip might be unflattering to some, but Tana Thai was a very nice surprise. Plus, it's the food and friendly service from Pookie which pulled in the bigger draw. I'm not striving to be a Thai food connoisseur- but flavors were impressively on target. It was simple satisfaction and the heat/spiciness we chose, didn't knock our heads off.

Nice Thai restaurant with friendly staff. Can see that they do a lot of take out orders. Food was delicious. Definately would come again.

It gets great natural light, which makes it feel warm and welcoming right when you walk in. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and efficient. The food is what keeps me coming back. This time I had the flat rice noodles with spicy basil sauce (Pad Kee Mao), and I always go with tofu as my protein because it's that good. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and pillowy on the inside, exactly how I like my tofu prepared. We also ordered the red snapper larb, which was a standout. They break down the fish, lightly batter it with a thin, delicate crust, fry it, and then toss it in a bright, herbaceous vinaigrette. Super flavorful and really well balanced. I did find it alittle overcooked but not in an offensive way. If you're craving Thai and find yourself near New Rochelle, I highly recommend checking this place out. It's about a 15-20 minute drive and super convenient from Throggs Neck and even closer from Pelham Bay.

When I found Honey Thai Pavilion, I was ecstatic. It soon became my favorite place in the Bronx to have Thai food. If you're as passionate about Thai cuisine as I am, you'll appreciate the wide selection this restaurant has to offer, which includes noodles, seafood, and more! The spicy prik king with chicken which is served with white rice is my particular favorite dish; it's delicious and authentic. This dish can be made as spicy as you like. I also got a few shareable items for the table, shrimp in a blanket, satay chicken skewers and steamed dumplings! Additionally, they serve freshly made pad thai, which has a ton of flavor and really soft noodles and succulent meat. The pad see ew is another great option; the vegetables are fresh and the noodles are usually good! It gets better: a lunch menu is available for $10.50, with generous portions. This is a fantastic way to sample several foods from the menu; it allows you to take a risk without committing entirely, which is ideal if you're looking to step outside of your comfort zone! The 6 line and the subway are only a 5-minute walk away from this site. One thing to bear in mind is that parking can require you to drive around the block once or twice, but as it's a residential neighborhood, there ought to be spots available. One of the restaurant's excellent aspects is that you don't need reservations. It also offers a laid-back atmosphere, nice and helpful staff, and a decent wine selection. They even offered me a complimentary order of spring rolls and a generous pore of wine.

Let's just say there was nothing left on the table but the plates themselves at the end haha. A beef pho to go was a must at that point and was recommended a Vietnamese ice coffee. Told it's strong and that's my go to kind, added it to the bag and after the first sip it's exactly what I needed. Highly recommend to eat in; you'll feel like you're home or grab a pick up order in person to get to know the place and people. Was informed they've been there around 15 years and I can see why, I'll happily support them in their continuation of growth!!!

This place is incredibly easy to miss unless you're intentionally looking for it. I've gone past it…read moreso many times without a clue this establishment was even there. I loved the ambiance of the place, it was so cozy, warm and relaxing. The music they were playing matched perfectly with the vibe and aesthetics of the place, it was soft and romantic in a way. There are plenty of tables available for groups or solo dates. This is a perfect place to sit down and journal or get some work done. I literally only waited 10 minutes from start to finish to get my takeout, I sat down on one of the available tables and immediately started reading my Bible app, truly relaxing. Half of the tablets were occupied but everyone appeared to be relaxed and just enjoying their meals so the noise level was low. If you're waiting for takeout they give you a ticket and then bring your takeout to the table you're at. If you ordered in advance for a pick up you just walk to the counter and they hand over your food. The staff were friendly and graceful. While I was ordering my food at the counter, I was able to see the staff handling some of the food. They were plating, and I was pleasantly surprised with the fact that all of them were wearing gloves even while they were taking the prepared food to the tables. You get 5% off your bill if you pay with cash. There are no atms inside. Now let's talk about the actual food, the star of the show. I ordered the claypot braised pork belly and I was notttt disappointed! This meal was such a unique experience. I am used to eating very flavorful and well seasoned dishes overall so I've tasted plenty of dishes that had more flavor than this. However, I have never enjoyed a dish that was so intentional with all of its textures and tastes. The rice was soft and light, and the vegetables had the perfect amount of crunch and spice, while the pork had a mild sweetness to it. The egg was a perfect add on to put it all together. This is the kind of plate that you have to truly eat everything it's served with to fully enjoy all of the different textures and flavors that it brings. If any of the spices or flavors would've been overwhelming, it would take away from the other flavors every item on the plate has to offer. I put a little of everything with each bite, yummm. The only flaw with the dish unfortunately is that the larger portions of the pork were chewy and a bit dry, which based on other reviews seems to be a thing. The smaller pieces were very tender and delicious. I will definitely order again from here. I'm excited to try their homemade soda, coffees and their summer/spring roles Happy yelping and enjoy
