Been living in the area two years this is the Chinese I order from. They never pack everything you need no straws, duck sauce. If you do get duck sauce it's only two they tryna save money. not bad but they charge a 10 percent service fee on top of a delivery fee which takes care of the tip however the chicken teriyaki are very tiny and the rib tips are overly meatless with way too much sauce. Some days are better than others not sure if it's a different chef- always delicious but saturdays are always extra juicy for some reason. Good Chinese takeout is hard to find; this place has great veggies, rice, lo mein, and appetizers . I like the egg rolls here and fried cheese wontons although I skip the sweet and sour sauce. Owners are a very nice young couple with an adorable family. Very friendly and quick service. Golden chef is on buhre ave and they have amazing customer service and a beautiful place to sit down and eat and state of the art kitchen !! And still aren't charging $7.25 for some damn fried dumplings !! They are doing because they are taking advantage of being in a white neighborhood , they know they can price their food at whatever price because people from that area will end up spending their money their eventually. Literally my favorite Chinese spot. I moved to Pelham Bay three years and only order from here (unless I want like Mongolian Beef, b/c they don't have it here). The food is always fresh, fast, and I can't think of a time where my order was wrong or had bad customer service. I even got my roommate hooked on them! I love this place. They have fast delivery and their delivery guy is very friendly. Their food is awesome. I love their steamed dumplings and cheese wontons. Their boneless chicken is not too bad and my husband loves their boneless spare rib tips. I tried their general tsos chicken and although they did accomodate my needs in giving me just white meat, it was too soggy. The customer service is my biggest complaint. Delivery guy/ manager was so nasty and came to my house and yell at me. Ilive around the area and this is the closest Chinese spot to us and I called ask for an order and wasn't satisfied with their chicken it was hard and just oily. I've had their food before some days the food quality was better than others but never to this extent it was old refried chicken. They offered to send me fresh chicken again they sent old refried chicken. Manager/ delivery guy(same person) that day asked for the food back to resell it. I mean who does that especially with Covid. Then when I sent it back and just said this isn't working can I have a refund he popped up at my house yelling at me and cussing at me. They lack customer service foods not a one start it's about a three in honesty due to their consistency. It may not be much to look at, but it is a take out place - it's not meant to offer a fine dining experience. If cleanliness is important to you, Lee Xing is extremely clean. Especially if you compare it to other take out places in the area where the roaches roam freely for all to see. I never saw an insect or any filth at Lee Xing. The service is excellent - they always get my orders correct on the first try and deliver them quickly. I can't say the same for their competition. The food is tasty, maybe not the best but definitely not the worst and I'm not afraid of getting sick from it. read more
