Got the classic roll ($5) and spicy salmon roll ($8). Most of the other options range between $8-15. This reminds me more of a kimbap than a sushi roll. Food stall/stand so it is all to-go. The sauce in the classic roll was spicier than the one in spicy salmon. Quick service. Cannot beat the price for a sushi burrito / kimbap option. Minimum card payment is $8. Would definitely return!

We arrived around 3 pm on a Saturday afternoon. It was freezing outside and yet there was still something of a crowd by this place. It is a hole in the wall spot in west village that is next to an apartment complex with several rolls to try. The rolls are closer to an uncut kimbap than a sushi but man were they fantastic. There are several sushi roll options to choose from ranging from the $5 classic to $15. All of which look fantastic. There is about an 8 dollar minimum for any credit card purchases. We ordered the classic and the spicy salmon. The classic stick was $5 and the spicy salmon was $8. They are served with a side of soy sauce. There is no place nearby to sit down to it's a bit awkward trying to eat with the sauce while standing up. Due to the immense cold we were camped out in an apartment lobby next door. The food took less than 10 minutes to be made. I personally loved the classic stick. Will definitely be back for the classic stick. Funny enough it tasted spicier (was not very spicy just a nice kick) compared to the salmon. They are not very filling. I feel like I can easily devour about 2 of them. Lovely and kind service. Love this place and will be back

Crab Yummy Stick

Best value snack for $5 in NYC so far. I got there right as a cute Korean couple were opening up. A hole in the wall so easily missed. Service was quick -- 2 minutes, but no seating unfortunately. I got the classic and crab ($6), which is similar but crab is way better because of the radish. These sticks are essentially uncut kimbap, yummy indeed. Great snack on the go.

Yummy Stick is the definition of hole in the wall. I never would have found it unless I had been searching Yelp for lunch in the area. I needed a quick bite and Yummy Stick was a perfect option. I ordered the shrimp tempura (no crab stick). A really good value for $10. It came with fried egg, cucumber, avocado, spicy mayo - wrapped in a seaweed with excellent rice, the burrito itself wasn't huge, but it was a perfect size for a lunch. I was almost too full to finish the last couple bites. You definitely don't need two unless you're very hungry. The burrito was delicious. It felt hearty, perfect amount of toppings, egg, avocado, and mayo. It came with a small soy sauce which was a challenge to use while standing (but I did it). Would definitely come by again. If I lived/worked/went to school here (there were a TON of students), I'd probably eat here all the time.

Biked 25 minutes to get here during my lunch break and WOW!!! This was delicious. Prices must have been raised in the last week or so since the reviews mention cheaper pricing, just beware. Paid $6 for a "original crab" stick and was well-worth it. One of these bad boys will fill you up for a light lunch, two and you'll be full for sure. Can't wait to come back!

Got a sushi burrito for only $5 from this tiny window in Manhattan! This spot is open Mon-Fri 11am-4pm, and is perfect for an on-the-go meal during lunch hours. It's actually more of a kimbap burrito (= kimburrito?!) & they sell a whole assortment of rolls at Yummy Stick. Depending on the roll you get, prices range from $5 to $13 here. The original $5 burrito is stuffed with crab, fried egg, and rice with seaweed wrapped around, made fresh-to-order. The shop owners are so sweet and the burrito is quick, convenient, and filling. Can you believe this is only $5? Where else in Manhattan would you get lunch for $5? (besides Chinatown :P)

I arrived just after 12 PM on a weekday and there were a few people waiting to order and a few people waiting for their orders. It is a small store front where you order at the door and wait for your order on the sidewalk. Since there was a small crowd it was easy to spot from down the street. The service was friendly and quick. I asked the person taking orders if she thought 1 was enough, and she recommended getting 2. I ordered the original and the spam yummy stick and only had to wait a few minutes before getting my food. The original came with crab, fried egg, house mayo, and spicy sauce. The spam came with spam, fried egg, spinach, carrot, and yellow radish. They also give soy sauce in a small container. I preferred the spam yummy stick but both were good and I was full after about 1 1/2. Overall this is a great spot if you need a quick meal on the go, but I wouldn't go out of my way if I wasn't in the area.

The staffs are friendly, this is a hidden gem. A regular roll is $5. The food was delicious! They are only open during the weekday for a couple hours. Would recommend coming here again! This is a hole in the wall shop, no places to sit. Staff: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Ambience: 3/5

A great solution for relatively cheap lunch bite or even if you're just looking for a quick bite on the way to something. Prices can be as low as seven dollars but can go up to around $15 depending on the type of roll you get. This place is doing something that has a bit interesting: it's giving sushi burritos another chance by fusing essentially a sushi roll with Kimbap and not cutting it into slices. This makes for a more burrito like eating experience, which makes it more accessible to grab and go, and it's bigger than your traditional sushi roll as well, which makes it more like kimbap, as it's also stuffed with veggies and egg. It's the perfect fusion I was looking for - a blend of more ingredients and larger size from kimbap while keeping the japanese fish options and making it relatively cheap. It's operating out of a hole in the wall and the lady who took my order was so sweet and helpful. I only waited around five minutes for my order though there was a line building,

Ordered delivery from here tonight. Ordered the sashimi deluxe. It was $29.95 on Grubhub and they had a promo for $10 off. So I tried it. It was 18 pieces of assorted fish. Comes with either soup or salad and rice. I chose salad. In comments asked then to hold the rice. The food arrived late. I thought it wasn't coming. The salad is just lettuce, some shredded carrot, three slices cucumber, and a grape tomato. Dressing on side. Not a fan. I'd try soup next time. It was fresh though, but I tossed the tomato. The sashimi itself is very small. It was fresh which was nice. But if I had to pay $30 for this little amount of fish, I'd be upset haha. I'm happy they kept the rice! :) So while it was good, it is not worth the money. If they run a promo again, I may order from them again. But we will see.

SUPER SIZED SUSHI ROLLS !! Service: amazing Food taste: amazing Price: around $10 per sushi-rito, depending on what you get. If you love sushi and have been looking for a place that sells sushi but in burrito form, for the love of god please come here. The owner/chef has such a gracious and humble welcome. You place your order and he works at full speed to get your order out. You can see everything he does and he does it all himself. The avocado that is in the roll is so ripe and the sauces he uses is on point. I wish I had ordered more to go. Such a small shop but it's got great taste. Will definitely go back

The effortless tranquility encourages you to slow down, enjoy the food, and get away from the everyday, hubbub. Their menu leans into fusion dishes with a nod to some of the classic home-style classics. Everything is presented with a refined, elevated touch. Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. With its casual bougie aesthetics, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite eateries in Fort Lee-lee, It beautifully blends Korean, Japanese, and American flavors in a way that feels both comforting and elevated. Needless to say, we will be back!

When we pulled up to the restaurant, we were informed there were a few levels. We went to the second floor and they were happy to accommodate us. We were rolling 6 deep and the booth was enough for us, but barely. In our party, majority of us wanted meat with the exception of 2 people only wanting shrimp and something else. We got the large beef combination platter which comes with ribeye, thin skirt, brisket, marinated kalbi, and marinated chuck flap. Most people stuck with water, while a couple got ginger ale. I ordered the soju flight but I ended up not liking it so my cousins shared it. The meal comes with different veggies as well as your choice of soup. We got the spicy tofu and split it 6 ways. The spice lived up to its name, so I didn't eat very much. The best part was meat. Despite there being 6 of us, there was plenty to go around. I think you have the option to cook it yourself or have them cook it for you and we chose the latter. While I enjoyed it, I wish there was more space. Most of the space was taken up by the accompaniments that come with it (veggies, etc), so there was hardly any room to put anything else. It didn't help that none of our dishes were cleared once we finished them and that no rice is included. Aside from that, both the food and service were great.

Manhattan, NY (Koreatown) - I love BCD and frequent the one in Fort Lee pretty regularly, but for…read moreyears have assiduously avoided this NYC location as it's always a madhouse every time I've come here for dinner with friends or co-workers, and because there are so many other great Korean options on this strip. But there's no denying that BCD has upped their soondubu game considerably in the last decade+ with a thicker, more deeply flavored broth, and now easily rivals my longtime favorite and gold standard, the OG So Kong Dong in Fort Lee. Then I stumbled into a hack that changed my view: lunch! I ducked in for a late lunch on a whim while walking by one day, and this turned out to be a much chiller hour, unhurried and no reservation needed. I was promptly seated, my order taken, and the banchan swiftly laid out. The banchan spread is solid across the board (the little fried fish does nothing for me, but seems to be a highlight for everyone else). I especially love the kimchi, near-perfect IMO, and the pickled cucumber. There's a modest lunch discount, which is a nice bonus for someone who likes to order aggressively. I usually get an oyster, seafood, or assorted soondubu (with a raw egg cracked in), danger spicy of course! Or go the C1 combo route with a galbi (marinated bbq beef short ribs) + smaller soondubu. It's an enormous amount of food, so I take most of the galbi home and feel no shame about it. The galbi, by the way, has also gotten noticeably better over the years - meatier, tender, and the flavor is on point. I've also enjoyed their bibimbap, bulgogi, jap chae, and seafood pancake. Finally, let's talk heat - this chili-head loooves fire! And BCD's danger level is one of the rare instances where the spice level actually meets my punishing tolerance for heat, not some pretense at "American spicy.," despite this being a chain. Their danger level actually means business and brings tears to my eyes, literally. It's still not my favorite place ambience wise, and dinner remains a contact sport I've mostly opted out of, as gone are the days that I can tolerate a culinary mosh pit, and any wait longer than 10 minutes (and only for a superlative place) will trigger an automatic ejection of my presence. But for lunch? Unexpectedly great. 4 stars for dinner, 5 for lunch.
