The online ordering process was simple and straightforward, and I was able to provide detailed instructions along with reference images. The cake turned out absolutely amazing. It was chocolate and vanilla with no filling, and everything came together beautifully. The final result looked incredible, and it tasted just as good as it looked. For a fully custom cake of this size and detail, it was also very affordable, which was a pleasant surprise. Pickup was smooth and stress-free. The service was excellent the two cashiers were friendly, and we only waited a few seconds while they grabbed the cake, showed it to us, and boxed it up securely for transport. While we were there, we also tried a few of the goodies in the shop, and those were amazing as well. Huge shout-out to the baker who made this cake, she absolutely slayed it. I would highly recommend them for custom cakes and special occasions.

We had a pickup on Saturday and it was SO busy (seems everyone knows how delicious their stuff is!), but even in the chaos of a busy shop, all the employees were friendly and efficient. Our gluten free confetti cake pops were SO pretty and tasty, they were a big hit at our party. We picked up a few cupcakes (almond, YUM) and fancy decorated cookies too out of the case. Sometimes, I find I don't care for the taste of the fancy decorated cookies at most places, but these were not only beautiful, they were really good! Highly recommend for a special occasion, or heck just to pick up a sweet treat out of the case.

That could not be more true. We both did Pick Two: I got a chicken salad sandwich and my mother got a turkey and cheese both with the soup of the day which was butternut squash. Soup was OK, sandwiches were OK. I got a side of chips (not made in-house) for $3. My daughter was upset when we arrived bc she was napping in the car and she proceeded to cry for about the first 10 minutes so, I walked around with her to calm her before I sat down since it's so cramped to try not to disturb everyone else. She was not happy the entire time so we were trying to calm her and feed her. Cake slices and cheesecake are $17-20 each. They're large but other reviews say dry and taste old. That's pricey. We skipped dessert at those prices based on the quality of the rest of our meal... I got an $8 peppermint mocha which was good but, served in the smallest teacup imaginable. It's extremely small inside. Like, uncomfortable. Granted, I had a lot of items with my baby and her and we were seated at a table for two with her in my lap but it was close quarters and the waitresses were squeezing between the chairs to walk around. They have about 6 tables inside with a small event private room in back. Our waitress was kind but, the manager or owner was off-putting. She went to every single table seated except ours to ask how their meal was and experience and, when time to pay, she wanted to personally ring me up to ensure we left in a hurry. I get it, some places are not meant for babies, but, since it's billed specifically to kids, I thought this was. Nope, I was wrong. (She's 19 months - so, too young for this bougie of an establishment clearly) I would not come back at all unless it was for my, older daughter to have a birthday cake experience and get a couple cute pics. As far as instagram-worthy goes, they know what they're doing. As far as quality of food. It's like a 2.5 stars. I wish we'd waited and walked into the larger one in Carmel and just shopped and got some cookies to go!

I found A Smudge Sweeter on Instagram, and after admiring all of their beautiful, custom desserts, I sent a message. The owner responded quickly and was able to make 50 cake pops for our party with only a week's notice. Not only did she make cake pops, but they were intricate, incredibly-themed cake pops that brought a lot of fun to our event. The party was right before Thanksgiving, so the cake pops had fun toppers that looked like turkeys, footballs, autumn leaves, etc. They were also delicious, which is sometimes hard to do when they're that beautiful too. You can now order dessert tasting platters from this business, which is definitely the next thing I want to try! Perfect to try out all of their offerings before making a decision on an upcoming gift.... or a fun thing to bring over to a friend's house for a fun night!
