Chicken and pork with veggies and egg

Yummy Bowl is a great place for Mongolian BBQ. You can choose your noodles, veggies, and proteins and then mix your own sauce and seasoning concoctions. They also put steamed or fried rice at the bottom if you request it. Pro tip: you can pack the bowl as high as you want. I've seen some people do some pretty impressive bowls! You can easily get a few meals if you take your leftovers to go.

A good friend of mine invited me to Yummy bowl for a belated birthday dinner. I had never been before and I was super impressed! She had a bowl and I had sushi. The sushi was really good and they had gluten free soy sauce! I was so happy! My friend filled her bowl to the brim with all kinds of goodness and it smelled divine when it was delivered to her. You can try the sauces before putting them on your bowl and they have everything labeled that's gluten free as well. Great spot on the south side!

I was referred to this great gem. This is so delicious. You go in and you create your big bowl. The bowl they give you to pick your items isn't that big but if you know how to pack food you are all good. The service was excellent and the atmosphere is family friendly. This is a must try when your in Indianapolis

Service was definitely a vibe. My daughter and I did a to go order and the guys there had us rolling in laughter because we said we usually got to the speedway location( because we use to live 5mins from it) now we live in Greenwood. Food is just as amazing as the service. Great bang for the buck! I love how we can add as much as you want they even have specials for different times like unlimited during certain hours for dine in.

The food was nice and fresh. I got a California roll , the avocado tasted a bit old but did not bother me, you couldn't tell but I eat an avocado everyday so. My friend had a yummy bowl and he enjoyed it. The staff was more than friendly and helpful (my first time) the Restruant itself was clean, we were quick to get seated on a Saturday afternoon

My husband's bowl. He added noodles and sweet-and-sour sauce.

The Mongolian Grill near our house in North suburban Indy closed a few years ago, so I was thrilled when we were spending a couple nights on the south side and I saw that there was one right across the street from our hotel. Other than having a little trouble communicating with the hostess, who also became our server, everything was great. We indicated that it was our first time there, and she struggled to give us directions as to exactly how we needed to proceed, but we kept at it and eventually got the information we needed. One thing I loved was that the meat was unlimited. You could have as much as you thought you could eat and fit in your bowl. I've recently gone to a couple Mongolian grills in a couple other cities, and they limit your meat portion by adding it to your bowl after you add your own veggies. I also liked the plethora of sauce choices, and everything came to us very hot and freshly cooked. In my case, I combined chicken, pork, and shrimp, along with several different vegetables, and selected teriyaki and garlic sauces for them to add as they cooked it. I liked that we could add our sauce in little cups, to control how much or how little we wanted of each. It was all delicious. We greatly enjoyed our meals, and look forward to going back when we're in that part of town again!

Came on a Sunday at 1pm and wooow it was busy. Line out the door busy. Got sat fairly quickly despite that, and got our food at a reasonable time as well. Very loud when it's busy, there's not a lot in the restaurant to dampen sound. Some changes I've noticed is the prices keep increasing, which we didn't see the price for the yummy bowl on their menu at all. Last time I came here (06/13/2025) a lunch bowl was $12.99, and as of 07/20/2025 it is $14.99 for a regular lunch yummy bowl. I don't know how much the bottomless bowl is because they don't list the price on their menu?? That's my biggest gripe really.

My wife and I tried this location today for lunch. We were able to get a seat quickly and, despite never having visited before, the server explained how the yummy bowl actually works. It's basically a build-you-own stir fry with plenty of vegetable, protein, seasoning, and sauce options. We opted to try it and absolutely loved the ability to customize our meals. Having added our various ingredients and handed our bowls off to the chefs, we had some time to chat and then got to enjoy our food. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. We'll definitely be going here again for a good meal!

PILE HIGH! This place never misses! It could be because you're picking your own food and flavors... but this is one of my favorite places! I've come for lunch and dinner and there's always a crowd, so you know the food is good. I didn't get any this visit but sushi is really good too. I've had really good service at this place and not terrible but not the best service. Sometimes once you get your food, the servers tend to forget about you. But other than that, it's a great place to try new things. Perfect place to meet with friends or have a date night. It's a little loud but you won't care once your food comes out.

This sushi was delicious. They have great lunch specials as well. They have the best fortune cookies I've had.

I had the lunch bowl, sushi, and crab rangoons. It was a busy Saturday, but we received our food quickly despite the crowd. Everything was delicious, and I would recommend this place to anyone visiting town with family and friends. The restaurant had a calm and relaxing ambiance.

Stopped in on Sunday after 1pm and the parking lot was almost completely full, but it was a Christmas shopping weekend and there are six places to eat all right together plus some stores mixed in as well. I did find some empty spaces out next to Emerson Ave. There was what looked like one party waiting for a table but the sushi bar has a counter that seats six people and it didn't look like anybody was there so I asked for the counter and was seated right away. Having recently ate at their Avon location I was ready to fine tune my last Yummy Bowl creation. This time around I only went with four meat choices instead of six. Much better that way. I added an egg this time. I might add two next time. I stayed with the same veggies as last time but I think I need to increase the onions so I'm still looking for perfection. Service overall was great and efficient. My server brought my bowl direct from the grill. It didn't sit on the counter and get a bell ring. That is exceptional service. The restroom here was very clean and well stocked.

This place serves sushi, Korean Fried Chicken, Japanese ramen, and features make your own Mongolian stir fry. I always opt for the stir fry. The restaurant has a decent sized dining area and the staff is friendly enough. My interaction with them was limited but in my brief interaction they did their job, nothing more, nothing less. Back to the sir fry. So, you get a bowl and load it up with noddles or rice, then your choice of proteins, vegetables, and sauces. After you got it just the way you want it, you drop it off for them to grill. They move pretty quick. I got my entre in less than 8 minutes. It was really good and reasonably priced. This restaurant is a nice change of pace from fast food for me. I wish I made it here more often. The food is really good and I get to put my creativity to the test while I am here. I recommend checking this place out.

Dinner option includes salmon, lamb, edamame, etc. that are not available during lunch. So I decided to try the $15.99 dinner bowl. Unlike other customers, I used a food glove which the restaurant should require as people more than likely do not wash their hands before touching the buffet utensils which was placed on top of the raw food. Oh, there are petite sample spoons to the right of the sauces to taste them; I liked the dragon sauce which I was told taste like sweet chili sauce. I also got the gluten-free garlic oil with parsley. They have seasoning options too so I tried the Cajun. I chose the fried rice with egg, salmon, white fish, chicken, beef, lamb and 2 eggs as my proteins. I selected chives, zucchini, mushrooms, onions, Napa, and bell peppers. Some food signs were not facing the customers. Some Hibachi staff wore face masks to stir fry the entrees. After I bit into an eggshell, I did not enjoy my food as much. I wanted more Cajun seasoning but still lacked a tasty flavor. There is less waste of dropped food if have the taller side of the bowl closer to you. Meal came with a fortune cookie. I wanted a unique Asian buffet at a reasonable price. I am glad I tried it after someone recommended and told me how the Hichabi worked. I might return someday and ask for a special request of fried rice withOUT egg.

I happened to visit on a warmer day so I was able to see the space with the garage door open. It was golden hour and it had everything all lit up. Very beautiful. Our service was amazing, couldn't have asked for a better server. I can't remember her name but she was so detailed in her descriptions, thoughtful with her suggestions, and had the perfect amount of attentiveness. Now on to the fun parts.... Drinks were a hit! We told our server what we like and they recommended a couple options. I again can't remember the exact name of the drink but mine was a gin cocktail. I'll attach some photos for you. As for the food, every bite I took was delicious. Our table shared the fried brussel sprouts and the ginger miso salad. A very lovely way to ease into our meal on a lighter note. They split up the salad onto two plates for us, which was sweet of them. The portion was pretty good for a $12 salad. Very refreshing. Brussel sprouts were absolutely fire. Get them! Along with that, I also ordered the tempura shrimp maki roll. Inside the roll was cucumber and avocado with giant tempura shrimp right on top, drizzled in spicy mayo. The presentation was cool, a slightly deconstructed version of what I would get somewhere else. There wasn't a single bite left on the plate. I would order all three of these dishes again in a heartbeat. Perfect for a date night or special occasion, but also works for just grabbing a bite with friends. Whenever I find myself back in Indy, Modita will be on my list.

This is my wife and I's favorite restaurant in all of Indy. We were lucky to visit last night, and…read morestill great as always. We had a reservation at 6:45, and were sat shortly after that time. The place was busy for a Friday night, and was somewhat loud. Our waitress greeted us quickly, and was on top of things throughout the night. I started off with a ginger miso salad, based on recommendations on this page. Personally, I could have went without the $12 salad. I would have paid more like $6 for the amount of actual salad I got. The dressing was good, but nothing extraordinary. I did ask for no cucumbers- I could taste a faint taste of cucumbers on the salad, so think they just took them off after they were already placed. We split some Bao Buns. These were the highlight of the show. The pork on them was thick, the slaw was fresh, and the bao bun itself was fluffy. We split two dishes for dinner- the short rib and the chicken udon noodles. The chicken udon noodles were fantastic- packed full of flavor and tons of toppings in it. The short rib fell a little short of my expectations, but I had high expectations to begin with. We have had the short rib multiple times in the past- and normally it is a hunk of meat, similar to a roast. Now, it is strips of tiny pieces of meat with a bone attached to it. If the owner/general manager is reading this- GO BACK TO THE ROAST STYLE- the strips of meat was too much work to eat. Still packed full of great flavor though. I had the bridge to Anshun for my drink. I had never had Baiju before, but glad I tried it. It was a tangy drink that was also sweet- would say it's a must try. Overall, some changes since our last visit that weren't expected, but overall had a great evening here. Can't wait to return.
