Tried this location as a quick dinner! Of course food turned off delicious!! I was upset to learn they dont have sushi here. Only reason I went!!! The service was slow tonight but had alot of people working. I'd give it another chance if I'm not in mood for sushi!

Hands down the best location which is not affiliated with the Rockville rd one from what they told me. This location is amazing I moved to Greenwood and still drive here for my Yummy bowl! Customer service ALWAYS amazing! The food also always amazing! And the real fruit lemonades my FAV I literally have gone there just for the lemonade. The one lady there knows me when I walk in she tells them I'm def getting strawberry lemonade ! I love this location and the people there!

I'm here way more often than i should be. It's always clean, well organized, and the food hits every sigle time!!

Soooooo Good. Friendly staff, food bar is fresh and very quick cook and delivery to table. Awesome place

Went here for a quick lunch. Picked up a to-go card and went to town picking my veggies and proteins, seasonings and sauces. For to-go, you pay by the pound, but if you're eating in, you can really fill your bowl up. They might not be the quickest for a quick lunch, but they fry everything up right there, and the staff put some craft in their skills. Overall, perhaps not an everyday lunch, but really solid to shake the lunch routines up.

Yummy Bowl on Crawforsville Road in Speedway.
Wanda M.

I came today to try the new Yummy Bowl in Speedway. Yummy Bowl is a chain restaurant that opened today, Monday, March 25, 2024, in the old Fire House location on Crawfordsville Road. Yummy Bowl has Mongolian grilled food, with a few appetizers, several veggies, meats, seafood, and tofu but no sushi as Avon offers. The ordering process is also different from the Avon and Greenwood locations I've been to. Instead of walking through a line, selecting and dishing out your own ingredients into your bowl, you are provided a list to select ingredients from. The list has 5 steps to select your ingredients for each bowl. Prices are listed by each protein, and the number of ingredients allowed is listed by each step. You are assigned a number to be called when your order is ready to pick up at the counter. While I was dining here, a majority of the business was carry-out meals. The restaurant has comfortable booths and tables to dine at. The interior is new, with light textures and wood accents. The restaurant is flooded with natural light coming through the large windows. The grill is located in the middle of the kitchen with the ingredients to the side of the kitchen. All the preparation of each meal and grilling are visible from the dining area. I was disappointed that the egg roll and pot stickers weren't delivered on a tray but just sat on the table. A saucer or small plate would have been nice to put my sauces and eggroll on. The pot stickers arrived in a plastic container, and the sauces were in a round plastic container. This container made it easier to dip the pot stickers in the sauces. I ordered the Crab Meat with the max 5 veggies and one sauce. I miss Avon as you can select multiple meats and veggies, and your extra meats aren't $5, or sauces aren't $.75 each. When my order was ready, it was delivered in a large plastic to-go container with the requested sauce. I was given a very small, flimsy fork, no knive to cut my pot stickers or crab meat, and 3 packages of soy sauce. It would be helpful if a soy sauce bottle were on the tables. My order was generous with crab meat and veggies. The egg roll was not overcooked and filled with veggies. The 6 potstickers were very good and cooked perfectly. My crabmeat entree was very nice, but it needed additional seasoning, which I usually handle at the Avon location. The veggies were crisp-tender with large pieces of crab meat. I would order again. The atmosphere felt like a fast food restaurant in a mall food court. I miss real silverware, some type of plate for the appetizers, sauces on the tables, and food delivered to my table. Again, the food is fresh and has a good flavor, but it is geared more for carry-out or a fast dine in meal. Good luck with your new business in Speedway. I'm sure you'll do well.

Veggie bowl.

Ordered the veggie bowl today from the website for pick up. The new place has a small amount of seating for dining in. They are quick and easy. My order was correct and delicious. I will definitely be ordering from them again very soon.

Great little Southside spot. It's not fancy inside, but it's always busy because it is just yummy - as the name suggests. They have sushi options but we always go for the bowls. They will bring a bowl to your table and then you fill it will all of the veggies, meat, and sauce you want. They give you a card to put with your bowl with your rice preference. They cook your bowl selections and your rice and then deliver it to your table. If you really pack your bowl it is a good amount of food. We like the ingredient choices and especially the YumYum sauce.

Very tasty vegan option. The cons are all of the animal flesh at the end of buffet and cooking vegan on same grill.

This place serves sushi, Korean Fried Chicken, Japanese ramen, and features make your own Mongolian stir fry. I always opt for the stir fry. The restaurant has a decent sized dining area and the staff is friendly enough. My interaction with them was limited but in my brief interaction they did their job, nothing more, nothing less. Back to the sir fry. So, you get a bowl and load it up with noddles or rice, then your choice of proteins, vegetables, and sauces. After you got it just the way you want it, you drop it off for them to grill. They move pretty quick. I got my entre in less than 8 minutes. It was really good and reasonably priced. This restaurant is a nice change of pace from fast food for me. I wish I made it here more often. The food is really good and I get to put my creativity to the test while I am here. I recommend checking this place out.

Dinner option includes salmon, lamb, edamame, etc. that are not available during lunch. So I decided to try the $15.99 dinner bowl. Unlike other customers, I used a food glove which the restaurant should require as people more than likely do not wash their hands before touching the buffet utensils which was placed on top of the raw food. Oh, there are petite sample spoons to the right of the sauces to taste them; I liked the dragon sauce which I was told taste like sweet chili sauce. I also got the gluten-free garlic oil with parsley. They have seasoning options too so I tried the Cajun. I chose the fried rice with egg, salmon, white fish, chicken, beef, lamb and 2 eggs as my proteins. I selected chives, zucchini, mushrooms, onions, Napa, and bell peppers. Some food signs were not facing the customers. Some Hibachi staff wore face masks to stir fry the entrees. After I bit into an eggshell, I did not enjoy my food as much. I wanted more Cajun seasoning but still lacked a tasty flavor. There is less waste of dropped food if have the taller side of the bowl closer to you. Meal came with a fortune cookie. I wanted a unique Asian buffet at a reasonable price. I am glad I tried it after someone recommended and told me how the Hichabi worked. I might return someday and ask for a special request of fried rice withOUT egg.

I happened to visit on a warmer day so I was able to see the space with the garage door open. It was golden hour and it had everything all lit up. Very beautiful. Our service was amazing, couldn't have asked for a better server. I can't remember her name but she was so detailed in her descriptions, thoughtful with her suggestions, and had the perfect amount of attentiveness. Now on to the fun parts.... Drinks were a hit! We told our server what we like and they recommended a couple options. I again can't remember the exact name of the drink but mine was a gin cocktail. I'll attach some photos for you. As for the food, every bite I took was delicious. Our table shared the fried brussel sprouts and the ginger miso salad. A very lovely way to ease into our meal on a lighter note. They split up the salad onto two plates for us, which was sweet of them. The portion was pretty good for a $12 salad. Very refreshing. Brussel sprouts were absolutely fire. Get them! Along with that, I also ordered the tempura shrimp maki roll. Inside the roll was cucumber and avocado with giant tempura shrimp right on top, drizzled in spicy mayo. The presentation was cool, a slightly deconstructed version of what I would get somewhere else. There wasn't a single bite left on the plate. I would order all three of these dishes again in a heartbeat. Perfect for a date night or special occasion, but also works for just grabbing a bite with friends. Whenever I find myself back in Indy, Modita will be on my list.

This is my wife and I's favorite restaurant in all of Indy. We were lucky to visit last night, and…read morestill great as always. We had a reservation at 6:45, and were sat shortly after that time. The place was busy for a Friday night, and was somewhat loud. Our waitress greeted us quickly, and was on top of things throughout the night. I started off with a ginger miso salad, based on recommendations on this page. Personally, I could have went without the $12 salad. I would have paid more like $6 for the amount of actual salad I got. The dressing was good, but nothing extraordinary. I did ask for no cucumbers- I could taste a faint taste of cucumbers on the salad, so think they just took them off after they were already placed. We split some Bao Buns. These were the highlight of the show. The pork on them was thick, the slaw was fresh, and the bao bun itself was fluffy. We split two dishes for dinner- the short rib and the chicken udon noodles. The chicken udon noodles were fantastic- packed full of flavor and tons of toppings in it. The short rib fell a little short of my expectations, but I had high expectations to begin with. We have had the short rib multiple times in the past- and normally it is a hunk of meat, similar to a roast. Now, it is strips of tiny pieces of meat with a bone attached to it. If the owner/general manager is reading this- GO BACK TO THE ROAST STYLE- the strips of meat was too much work to eat. Still packed full of great flavor though. I had the bridge to Anshun for my drink. I had never had Baiju before, but glad I tried it. It was a tangy drink that was also sweet- would say it's a must try. Overall, some changes since our last visit that weren't expected, but overall had a great evening here. Can't wait to return.
