Young's Café is one of my favorite spots in Fort Collins for lunch. My favorites are the over rice platters which you can order with chicken, tofu, or a combination. They're all served with fish sauce and fresh veggies. I also love their super bowls that you can order with chicken, tofu, shrimp, or pork. They're served over vermicelli noodles and fresh veggies. They're a little pricey, but it's great food! The dish I would not order again is the flaming soup. It's described as a hot and sour soup in a flaming pot with shrimp and vegetables. We ordered it to try something new, but didn't care for the pineapple pieces in the soup. Service is always great regardless of whether you're getting food to go or dining in. Youngs Cafe has a very casual vibe and it's always busy so be prepared for a little wait time during the typical dinner times. read more

WOW!!! I've lived in FoCo for nearly 4 years and I finally got around to trying Young's...WHAT TOOK ME SO LONG? From the moment we walked in - I'm recovering from recent shoulder surgery and dressing isn't easy so I didn't look my best - I discreetly asked the hostess if it was ok for me to come in looking kinda grungy and she sweetly told me I looked cute. Then a very friendly young man led us to our table. The place was packed, there were a lot of families with children as well as older folks like my hubby and me. Our waiter was also very friendly. Hubby and I usually each order soup, then we order 2 appetizers and one entree to split when we go to Asian restaurants. We ordered the same here. The egg drop soup was heartier than we expected, it had corn and little bit of chicken in it. It was delicious. Our appetizers, spring rolls and wrapped shrimp, were delicious and they were served on beds of noodles with sliced carrots and cucumbers around the edges of the plates. We had to ask our waiter for carry out containers before our entree even arrived. Our entree, pork with bok choy, shiitake mushrooms, and oyster sauce was delicious....just like everything else was. And since we ordered too much we had enough left over for dinner the following night. Hubby and I usually go for Thai or Japanese when we're in the mood for Asian cuisine and we have our favorite spots in FoCo for those (I prefer Thai, he prefers Japanese). The atmosphere was terrific. The crab wontons were very good and well portioned. The crystal rolls were unique. The outside texture was sticky and chewy but overall good taste. The egg drop soup was very flavorful. The super shrimp bowl was very good; however the noodles cooled off quickly. The shrimp and pork tools were enough. The spicy peanut chicken/pork lunch combo. I stumbled upon this restaurant while scrolling through Yelp. I knew I had wanted Asian food, but I wasn't sure what type. This restaurant is in a little strip mall tucked in the corner and from the outside you can tell it is a little bit of a nicer Asian restaurant. They market it as a cocktail bar and restaurant. The menu is relatively straightforward . They have the appetizers some entrées, soups and some special noodle bowls as well as special grilled entrees. They do offer pho, but it didn't seem like that was the focus for this particular restaurant. The wait stuff was very polite and very knowledgeable. I asked for recommendations and ended up settling on a grilled pork plate with rice and veggies. My meal also came with a soup as well as a spring roll. I was a little tired, so I also ordered a Vietnamese coffee. The coffee was delightful. I like that they gave us a little thermos to be able to adjust the strength. The soup was hot and sour soup, which is not one of my favorites, but it wasn't bad. The pork plate was definitely the star of the show. It was grilled slices of pork that were seasoned wonderfully. It was served on a bed of lettuce and came with marinated carrots, cucumbers, and some slices of tomato. The spring roll was nice and crispy and I enjoyed the dipping sauce that came with it. While, I don't think the point of the lettuce was to make wraps, that's what I did with it and it was fantastic I didn't end up going to the bathroom, so I'm not sure how clean it was or if they had a changing table but the restaurant was very clean otherwise. My entrée was $16 and my coffee $8. Which is I believe reasonable for the quality and quantity I was given. I will absolutely be back and I highly recommend this place. read more

Pho and vermicelli noodles were not bad, but not memorable either. Fried rice was kinda ketchupy. Big seating area and really busy! Friendly service, but wish they offered us chopsticks. Also, they also have two really nice aquariums, which was great for occupying the toddler. read more

This place is always busy, service is great and the food is delicious! So many options! We ordered the wontons for an appetizer - yum! And then we got two dishes and split them; we tried the beef and broccoli and the pineapple chicken. Both were great! The beef is so tender and flavorful and broccoli was cooked perfectly. The pineapple chicken is definitely what I would order again next time - packed with flavors, veggies and pineapple. It does state this is a spicy dish but ours wasn't spicy at all. I do wish the dishes came a little more saucier and would ask for extra sauce on the side next time, but overall a great spot for food! read more

I have been a fan of this place for 10+ years. The grilled pork rice wraps meal is so good. But the prices at this place have gone nuts. The other night I did pick up and it was $22 compared to $14 just a few years ago. Plus you get less pork, less rice noodles but a whole lot more lettuce . Guess I will go elsewhere read more

We have been coming to Young's for years. Consistently worth it and service is good. Most often we will order one or two of these: chicken cashew plate, a sweet and sour plate, any meat and fried rice bowl, soup and crystal rolls. Also our occasional menu experiments have been nice surprises. Good sized portions, we often take half of a meal home. Even our picky vegan granddaughter was well satisfied. So, we've never been disappointed, even when we only spend 10-12 clams a person for some light meals. read more

Young's cafe was interesting to say the least. Coming from the east coast, it seemed that the restaurant was trying too hard to cater to the local, predominantly white population. Therefore, it seemed that they changed their menu to be "less authentic." For example, they didn't have "Pho", but instead had a "Vietnamese noodle soup," and didn't have a "banh mi" sandwich, which to me was quite strange for a Vietnamese place. In addition, it felt that the flavors were quite muted and dialed back to appease to the local population. I do wish that this place stuck to its roots, and focused on traditional, tasty Vietnamese food. I mean, I just love this place... how can you not? Every time I come in, I get greeted and seated almost instantly. Longest I've had to wait was probably 5 seconds, while the hostess looked at the tablet in front of her to spot an open table. Quality never changes, and the amount is pretty consistent. I typically order the grilled combo rice platter, but unfortunately it's not served during dinner time. No idea why, but I like it that way because otherwise, I'd come to Young's Cafe for dinner every night. I'm sure my wallet appreciates it, too. Providing good options for vegans is also evidently not a high priority for them, including dishes that include egg drop soup with chicken not allowing for anything different that a vegan can eat, and no discount, either. This place has been our go to for Asian food for decade/s. It is by far one of my best experiences for takeout. I normally get the pho, and my wife usually gets some type of a salmon dish. In addition to that will get a spring roll or some other type of appetizer. It's always good and we are never disappointed . Highly recommend. Service- The service was really good, everything came out in great time. Appetizers- Maybe it's just because I love dumplings, but the pork dumplings were some of the best I've had. The pork was delicious, but the sauce that came with it was even better. The crystal rolls were very fresh and tasty with the sort of chocolaty sauce.
