I was a bit disappointed in the texture of the fish filling; it's very mushy and soft, almost like a slimy paste. The dumpling skin is a nice chewy texture, and you can tell it's all hand-made. I won't be returning to dine here, but maybe the dumplings just weren't for me personally. Service: You order at the kiosk or with the cashier at the counter. When your food is ready, they will call you. Everything is self-service after that. Ambiance: There are a few tables in the restaurant to eat your dumplings. Not the best for large groups. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this dumpling spot.

Fish Dumplings (4/5): You can see the staff making the dumplings fresh right in front of you!! We tried a order of 14 fried fish dumplings. The dumplings were uniquely folded and were stuffed with meat. The fried skin was perfect. I think I would've preferred pork over fish but we were on a food crawl, so we couldn't get more to try.

Went for their Chinese Crepe and round, self-contained Fried Chicken Pie. The Crepe, their version of Jian Bing, was immediately prepared while I waited, with egg, black sesame, scallions, crushed large wonton strips, lettuce and greens, some sauce, and (optional) chili paste. Ming Wei's Chinese Crepe was definitely a winner! Extremely large and delicious for only 5 bucks! The different textures and flavors worked well together, providing an interesting eating experience. On the other hand while the fried chicken was tender, the pie crust was a little hard for my taste, which might have been because it was end-of-day. (Note - If it was as good as the outstanding Crepe, I'd give Ming Wei 5 Stars!) Regardless, likely to explore some of their other items on another trip to Flushing! Would recommend checking out Ming Wei's Crepe! It's something that could make you a repeat customer!

Being a fan of Peking Duck, Quicitop's Peking Duck Jian Bing sounded like a big win. Hadn't noticed…read moreit on the menu of other Jian Bing places in Flushing. They have a wide range of Jian Bing options. Quicitop, a stall inside the same mini food court as Corner 28 with its English name in an almost illegibly small font under its gigantic Chinese name, offers that and more. Along with that, I ordered one of the Chinese style "Beef Patties" to go. (I'm not sure if there's seating in back, however I was taking it with to eat at Citified before the Mets Game.) The woman preparing my Jian Bing behind the counter was totally friendly and quick. This Peking Duck Jian Bing, a sizeable Chinese filled crepe with egg, lettuce and other vegetables, black sesame, was customized with Peking Duck and what appeared to be Hoi Sin Sauce. Additionally she folded within the crepe, as I've had elsewhere a large fried wonton sheet. While I saw some duck as I ate, the fried wonton in particular disproportionately distracted from any enjoyable Peking Duck flavor. If I ordered it again, I'd ask to leave out the wonton. Also, would recommend others do the same. The Beef Patties, in its crispy, flaky, filo dough type bun, was quite tasty, reasonably priced, and something I'd consider reordering. Quicitop might be a place to try their other options, including Jian Bing alternatives such as their batter upgrades of Spinach or Purple Rice.

The inside was soft and had a good flavor from the vegetables mix and oysters. It's a two man operation. One handles the cash and handing over the finished product and the other cooks the fritters. Preparation starts immediately after ordering. The vegetable filling, oysters and batter are combined and topped with peanuts. All of that goes into the oil for a few minutes before it is plucked out and placed on a metal grid to drain excess oil and cool. It's packed in a paper bag. We had to share a table, but it was fairly clean, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. There are various soups and buns on the menu, but their signature offering is the $3 unlimited breakfast buffet available before 10:30 am. The buffet might be a misnomer because it consists of 3 types of congee and 3 different drinks. You can choose any or all. I had the rice congee because it looked the best, and "orange juice" which tasted like Tang (which I like anyway). A staff member also gave us a, I think complimentary, sweet congee. Don't go out of your way, but if you're in the area and feel like having some congee, you can't go wrong for $3. I enjoyed my meal, and rate the eatery 4 stars.
