It's been a few years since I've been here and years ago it was a great place to eat but this visit was very disappointing first thing I noticed the heat wasn't even on in the place and it was ice cold inside service was prompt and we made our order we ordered our steaks rare and we receive them they were cooked med well, The portions of food have gotten way smaller than a couple years ago but the price has almost doubled I don't mind paying more but I also want to see quality food then when we checked out they charged us $1.50 credit card fee and we use the debit card this will probably be your last time here read more

Raw Food - Potato Skins took 25 mins to get to the table When they came - microwaved Strips of soggy potatoes over boiled / not baked Tr Tip was raw ! So pink you could see blood in it ? Took it home as to not be rude, dogs wouldn't even eat it. Got sick, filed health department complaint. Rueben Sandwich - soggy mess - dogs are that surprisingly. Took food home because people have to work. Versus refund. Will NEVER return to this location and will pass along the Health Dept violations. Clovis, Ca location has gone down hill !!! Long time customer. First time review. Too many new items on the menu. I go there for the classic items: El Capitan Burger with seasoned fries, chicken fried steak, or the Apple Pecan salad, but those are no longer on the menu. So sad. I had a crispy bacon chicken sandwich with regular fries. The fries were overly salted! It was like eating salt straight up! Will have to find another burger joint. read more

So we decided to swing by again utilizing our dealsaver. Second time at this location. We were seated promptly and they quickly brought our drink order but waited forever for someone to take our order for food. My wife had to flag down a waitress because we were ready to order. Anyways my wife ordered her usual chicken salad sandwich. Her only complaint was they put too much mayo and less chicken meat. I decided to try something new from their menu. I ordered the BBQ Trio which includes BBQ Pork Ribs, Tri-Tip & Chicken. It came with a side of season fries and green beans. I'm not a fan of green beans. But it did come with the dish. I actual like the Pork Ribs and season fries. I didn't care to much for their soup. The soup I'd tried was their version of Abondigas. It tastes bland and for me it look more like meatball soup. Overall experience, it could've been better when it came to customer service. The staff needs to work on communicating better, to better serve the patrons coming into the establishment. Other then that, perhaps try another location. Hopefully with more better customer service experience. At least be a bit bit more attentive on their patrons. read more

This spot used to be pretty good. Nice, fun, inviting atmosphere. Now, not so much. First off, the food quality is just decent and not worth the prices. Don't get me wrong, prices are going up everywhere, but it would be great if the food matched the cost. It doesn't. Second, they are now charging a 3.5% surcharge for using a credit card of any type. Finally, they are REQUIRING masks in order to enter. No thanks. They are not paying any attention to the fact that CDC says masks are not necessary, also, they are not recognizing medical conditions which is a violation of Federal HIPPA laws, for which they can be sued. There are plenty of restaurants that WANT and deserve business, avoid this one at all costs. read more

Usually like this place but tonight our waitress was sitting at the bar and came to our table a couple of times, food was out before I got my drink as I could see her serving drinks at the bar. She finally came to give us the bill I asked for a box and a container for the soup she just looked at me took the plate of food away that was barely eaten by my granddaughter which I asked for a box for tossed the food after about ten minutes with no return and no boxes or container as requested we got up and left and left no tip which is something I almost have never done but the service was honestly that bad. Whatever waitress working the bar this evening was our waitress for some reason and every other table around us had a young man that was an amazing waiter. Food was good seated quickly on a Friday evening but unfortunately if the waitress refuses to return to the table and ignores the table to return to the table or do anything requested I'm leaving a bad review. read more

A large group and I came here for brunch on a Sunday (~14 people?) after we checked out of our hotel, before flying out of Fresno. We were seated immediately and they also didn't require our whole party to arrive before seating us (props!). The menu was large, so it was a little overhwelming deciding what to order. I ended up getting what I usually get for brunch: Eggs Benedict. The bennie also comes with fruit and hash browns, which was definitely a surprise to me since I'm so used to having to pick one over the other. The portion sizes were very generous, but the food tasted what I'm reviewing this as - A-OK. There wasn't really anything that "wow'ed" me. But I was very pleased with the service and the speed our food came out, especially for how big our party size was. The waitress checked on our table an appropriate number of times to refill waters/coffees. One major plus as well: the waitress had no problem with splitting our check in the end between each person/couple. Overall, service was good but the food was okay. read more

Went here to use the gift cards we were given. Ordered a steak that was over cooked and served to me Luke warm. Since it was in the middle of the day there wasn't much servers around just a few tables were taken so the server did them all. Mash potatoes in my husbands order were great and so was his salad. We have come here often for breakfast and dinner with really good service and food. This time we invited family and the service was horrible. We didn't ask for anything complicated or substitutions but it took over an hour to make a couple of burgers, cold sandwiches and salads. Plus how do you run out of chicken. Very disappointed. Plus when we asked what was happening the manager was just joking about the length of time not really apologizing. Also when the food finally came out, we were missing one burger. Again no apology or rush to fix the situation. When I told the manager about how disappointing the service was instead of apologizing, he made a comment about how people did not say when they did good. Instead of just apologizing for the bad service and the mistakes that were made with our food orders, he was giving excuses. Very disappointed. I will think twice about coming back. read more

I have lunch here almost three times a week. Main reason? Fish Tacos!!!! They have a secret chipole sauce that is amazing. If I ever meet the person that started this entire virus shut down, I promise I will bitch slap him into Canada! The service is second to none, I always have the fish tacos (not the ones with mango), extra chipolte, two grilled jalapenos, a Modelo and a Don Julio. Amazing way to end the day. Order a Wood Smoked BBQ Tri Tip Sandwich with au jus, dipped into au jus this is what I got and the manager said this is the bottom of the dripping pan. If I was in Texas this would be called a sludge. More dissatisfied by the night manager telling me it was from the bottom of the dripping pan. The Hot Turkey Sandwich was excellent. Technically, it's not really a sandwich. Rather, it's a generous portion of super thin slices of turkey that are bursting with flavor, served over a thick piece of bread, and topped with brown gravy. The gravy was good by itself, but combining it with the turkey is where the magic of this dish happens. The mashed potatoes were lumpy which is how some people prefer them. I like them both ways so no biggie to me. They could have been seasoned a little more but at least they weren't over-seasoned as they tend to be at a lot of restaurants. My wife had the Blackened Chicken Pasta and that dish too was excellent. It was the perfect blend of perfectly cooked pasta, sauce, cheese, and whatever else is used in the dish. It came with a piece of garlic bread that was pretty underwhelming. Customer service was prompt and friendly. The lunch menu was extensive if you like sandwiches or burgers. Otherwise, it is kind of lacking. The decor is a mountain/country ranch theme and the restaurant itself feels dated. Outdoor, covered seating next to a waterfall is available which is nice. For checking in on Yelp, we received a free appetizer of fried zucchini which was cool. It was delicious and served with a really good tasting side of ranch. read more

Have been going to YFC for breakfast off and on since 2012. The food is good: well prepared, portions are decent. This time I just stopped in for some refreshment and got Serena for my server. Atmosphere is still great. I saw my server also had just taken orders for a table of eight after she greeted me at my table. Any concerns about delays were unfounded,,,she was back at my table take my order and drop it off in short order. Service was prompt and friendly. Surfaces were well cleaned. We recently ate here for the first time. My husband received a gift card for Christmas. We were instantly greeted when we walked in and were seated right away. Our waitress, Lorna, was very attentive to our needs. Took our drink order fast and then our food order as soon as we got our drinks. The food was delicious. Only flaw was the extra lettuce our food sat on was unnecessary and it took a little bit to receive our food. Overall we had a great experience and will definitely be returning. read more

I drove to Clovis for take out. I ordered the fried chicken dinner. The chicken pieces were the size of a Cornish game hen. The leg was smaller than the wing. The wing looked like it came from a pigeon. The breast and all of the pieces were dryer than the Sahara Desert! The mashed potatoes were so thick and dry they would support a steak knife standing on it's pointed end and very spicy. The only thing worth eating was the salad, but they gave me the wrong dressing! One of the safest restaurants I have been too in regards to COVID-19. They do temperature checks, sit you on their patio, and constantly wipe things down. 10/10 would recommend! They even have the condiment bottles in plastic bags. I felts really safe while eating here. All staff was masked and super friendly. If you're looking for a "typical American breakfast" place this one is a real winner. Large portions, AMAZING salsa, and surprisingly great tasting food. We all got omelettes and we all loved them. The Spanish omelette is really really good. It comes with mild salsa (which is great) and I recommend asking for the caliente salsa as well. The biscuits are huge and heavy (so many flaky layers of goodness). If you're in the area, definitely stop by! read more
