Great to find this delicious sushi restaurant near our house in Hickory Flat. It's tucked away in a shopping center in Holly Springs and doesn't seem like much from outside. Once inside, the staff was super friendly and nice. Our order did take awhile but the server gave us some cucumber salad. The green hot tea was also great. All 3 Rolls were great! We especially loved the Caterpillar Maki roll. Other two were Rainbow Roll and Dragon Roll. read more

THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE! We had been coming here for about a year because the food is good. We met a friend here several weeks ago and he arrived a few minutes before us and when he asked for a table for 3 he was told by a female/an owner( I later found out she is an owner) that he couldn't be seated because we all were not there. We were literally looking fir parking. We were told about a 30-35 min wait and this was after going back and forth about why they would not give our friend the table when we were parking the car. It was extremely hot and humid yo wait outside in the sun and not enough room in the restaurant to stand and wait. The owner took my friend's number and said she would call us when a table was ready and to go walk around in Publix- next door. After aimlessly walking around and no call we headed back to Yoon and we saw a family of 4 who had arrived as we were heading to Publix to wait. When we questioned this, the woman/owner said these people called ahead. Now we had asked many months prior to this if we could make reservations and we're told no reservations. When we were seated, our waitress who recognized us from previous visits, saw we were upset after waiting 1hour to be seated and I asked about calling ahead like these other people had apparently done and our waitress responded and said " no, you can't do that here." When that family of 4 were leaving I got up and asked them if they had called ahead and they said" No, we just walked in." I don't care to be lied to, as I believe most people don't care for that as well. This woman/ owner should have admitted her mistake, apologized and perhaps comped some of our meal. She should have owned it-plain and simple. I am a huge believer in supporting local businesses, however, as much as we enjoy the food here we will never be back here. This is absolutely the complete opposite of how to treat customers and run a business. It may take awhile but we will find a new sushi place- one that actually cares about honesty, integrity and good customer loyalty!! Shame on you Yoon Sushi for sub par customer service!! read more

I'd wanted to visit this place for quite some time, and my girlfriend and I were very happy to finally try it out. We found Yoon Sushi to be very clean and inviting, and they err on the side of being somewhat traditional in their offerings (compared to other places that may give you sushi shaped like a hat--there is a time & place for that, but you won't find it here). My girlfriend (who doesn't readily eat raw fish) stuck with the teriyaki, and reports it was delicious. I dove head-first into a plate full of sashimi a small selection of rolls, and an onigiri. Everything was delicious. Preparation and presentation were both very nice, and service was spot-on friendly. My only complaint: Yoon Sushi is expensive. I mean, it seemed expensive in comparison to other sushi places I enjoy. Still, for the occasional sushi treat, we'll keep it on the radar for future visits. Holler if you're coming with. read more
