Great atmosphere and food. Very cozy and not what you'd expect from the outside looking in. As a former restaurant owner I don't like seeing an 80 health score but try to give benefit of the doubt. Health inspectors can zing you for a variety of stupid reasons so hopefully it's nothing too bad. Otherwise I'd give it 5 stars. Super friendly staff. Pretty fire sushi. Great quality and appeared to be super fresh. I did ask for extra container of spicy mayo which they said was in the bag but wasn't. The owners seem to be really nice and look to give good customer service. My wife got some noodles which we do not recall the name. Great to find this delicious sushi restaurant near our house in Hickory Flat. It's tucked away in a shopping center in Holly Springs and doesn't seem like much from outside. Once inside, the staff was super friendly and nice. Our order did take awhile but the server gave us some cucumber salad. The green hot tea was also great. All 3 Rolls were great! I'd wanted to visit this place for quite some time, and my girlfriend and I were very happy to finally try it out. We found Yoon Sushi to be very clean and inviting, and they err on the side of being somewhat traditional in their offerings (compared to other places that may give you sushi shaped like a hat--there is a time & place for that, but you won't find it here). My girlfriend (who doesn't readily eat raw fish) stuck with the teriyaki, and reports it was delicious. I dove head-first into a plate full of sashimi a small selection of rolls, and an onigiri. Everything was delicious. Preparation and presentation were both very nice, and service was spot-on friendly. My only complaint: Yoon Sushi is expensive. I mean, it seemed expensive in comparison to other sushi places I enjoy. Still, for the occasional sushi treat, we'll keep it on the radar for future visits. Holler if you're coming with. read more

THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE! We had been coming here for about a year because the food is good. We met a friend here several weeks ago and he arrived a few minutes before us and when he asked for a table for 3 he was told by a female/an owner( I later found out she is an owner) that he couldn't be seated because we all were not there. We were literally looking fir parking. We were told about a 30-35 min wait and this was after going back and forth about why they would not give our friend the table when we were parking the car. It was extremely hot and humid yo wait outside in the sun and not enough room in the restaurant to stand and wait. The owner took my friend's number and said she would call us when a table was ready and to go walk around in Publix- next door. After aimlessly walking around and no call we headed back to Yoon and we saw a family of 4 who had arrived as we were heading to Publix to wait. When we questioned this, the woman/owner said these people called ahead. Now we had asked many months prior to this if we could make reservations and we're told no reservations. When we were seated, our waitress who recognized us from previous visits, saw we were upset after waiting 1hour to be seated and I asked about calling ahead like these other people had apparently done and our waitress responded and said " no, you can't do that here." When that family of 4 were leaving I got up and asked them if they had called ahead and they said" No, we just walked in." I don't care to be lied to, as I believe most people don't care for that as well. This woman/ owner should have admitted her mistake, apologized and perhaps comped some of our meal. She should have owned it-plain and simple. I am a huge believer in supporting local businesses, however, as much as we enjoy the food here we will never be back here. This is absolutely the complete opposite of how to treat customers and run a business. It may take awhile but we will find a new sushi place- one that actually cares about honesty, integrity and good customer loyalty!! Shame on you Yoon Sushi for sub par customer service!! read more

I think I'm a little spoiled when it comes to sushi and wasn't really impressed with Canton's sushi choice at Yoon. We ordered a couple of rolls (the names escape me) but they were lower quality than what I'm use to getting at other sushi restaurants and are priced the same; instead of fresh crap in their rolls they are using deep fried imitation crap meat which was a big turn off. The staff here was super friendly, but the service was a little slow. We waited a while for drinks, refills, to get our order taken, etc; but their attitude was great. read more

What true sushi lovers will discover is the daily fish specials posted subtly above the sushi bar. Here you will find the very best selection of market fish that other "sushi" restaurants would not carry. Cucumber salad is outstandingly fresh and spicy. Tip: we are convinced the chef could read our minds so we ordered two chef surprise rolls and we were absolutely amazed at the selections! Throw the menu away and let them do their magic. Lastly some people mention price. While it may be slightly higher than other run of the mill restaurants you will find the quality of the food is way above others and the service was great. Edward L. hauled me up here last Friday to have dinner with some of his friends. One of them was driving down from Blue Ridge, so Canton was a nice midway point for us to meet. Things started off pretty badly. We waited at least 10 minutes to get water and another 10 minutes until they came back to get our drink order. By the time we ordered food everyone had a chance to review the menu. I chose one of the deep fried rolls (I love that they don't try to gloss it up by referring to these as tempura fried) and it's basically the same Yami, Yami roll you can get other places. Unfortunately, this one wasn't so yummy. Everything took forever. It was really amazing. When not partaking in sparkling dinner conversation, I entertained myself my sipping wine and watching the awkwardly placed fish aquarium that was in front of people's crotches at the bar.
