I think I'm a little spoiled when it comes to sushi and wasn't really impressed with Canton's sushi choice at Yoon. We ordered a couple of rolls (the names escape me) but they were lower quality than what I'm use to getting at other sushi restaurants and are priced the same; instead of fresh crap in their rolls they are using deep fried imitation crap meat which was a big turn off. The staff here was super friendly, but the service was a little slow. We waited a while for drinks, refills, to get our order taken, etc; but their attitude was great. read more

We were very impressed with Yoon sushi. What you find here is a great team of professionals that are clearly in tune with the beauty and quality of the product and service. What true sushi lovers will discover is the daily fish specials posted subtly above the sushi bar. Here you will find the very best selection of market fish that other "sushi" restaurants would not carry. Cucumber salad is outstandingly fresh and spicy. Tip: we are convinced the chef could read our minds so we ordered two chef surprise rolls and we were absolutely amazed at the selections! Throw the menu away and let them do their magic. Lastly some people mention price. While it may be slightly higher than other run of the mill restaurants you will find the quality of the food is way above others and the service was great. This place is in Canton and I have to say, this is some of the best sushi that I've ever had! And I've had a lot of sushi in a lot of places (Atlanta, Augusta, Montgomery, Vegas, New York City, etc.). The service is always friendly and the owner's have a tendency to remember who you are, when you last came in, and what you last ordered (pretty amazing). Edward L. hauled me up here last Friday to have dinner with some of his friends. One of them was driving down from Blue Ridge, so Canton was a nice midway point for us to meet. Things started off pretty badly. We waited at least 10 minutes to get water and another 10 minutes until they came back to get our drink order. By the time we ordered food everyone had a chance to review the menu. I chose one of the deep fried rolls (I love that they don't try to gloss it up by referring to these as tempura fried) and it's basically the same Yami, Yami roll you can get other places. Unfortunately, this one wasn't so yummy. Everything took forever. It was really amazing. When not partaking in sparkling dinner conversation, I entertained myself my sipping wine and watching the awkwardly placed fish aquarium that was in front of people's crotches at the bar. I ordered the sashimi lunch special today. The bowl arrived and, much to my surprise, I could barely see the fish. Nine pieces in total. Each about the size of a quarter. Both the tuna and salmon might have been a quarter inch in thickness. Maybe. The three red snapper pieces were as thin as that quarter. All for the bargain price of $15. I mentioned to Mimi that these were the smallest little things I'd ever seen on a sashimi platter. She assured me that all was ok because after all, this was the LUNCH special. Of course then it became crystal clear for me: they sell appetizer-sized stuff as lunch entrees. On the positive side, the little that was there was quite tasty and the service was friendly. So if you do decide to visit Yoon to sample (yes, pun intended) this tiny treat, be sure to stop by Costco up the road afterwards and nibble some of their food samples. Had a really solid dinner at Yoon Sushi. Found this restaurant through a google search and it did not disappoint. The service was excellent in this little strip mall restaurant. Hannah our server did an excellent job, she was friendly and informative. We ordered the double dragon roll, ginger salad Hamachi, Negi hamachi maki, Spivey tuna maki, tamago and unagi. I can't not say we had anything that we didn't enjoy! The food was fresh and tasty! I would say this was a very solid sushi experience. We ordered take out and had to wait for it 50 min. When we came to pick it up the place was not even full and the staff was just chilling and chatting. Our bill was several dollars more expensive than the prices displayed on their website. When we asked the staff why they charged us more than it says on their menu online they said that they have no control over their website. Doesn't make any sense, robbing people. MISLEADING. It's their official website. We still had to pay more than it said on the menu. Is this even legal? Sushi was 2 stars out of five. This is my first time writing a yelp review, but I feel that it is definitely necessary to share my first experience at this establishment. My friends decided to bring me to Yoon Sushi for my birthday, so we walk in and the four of us were seated rather quickly. Little did I know that I'd spend the next 15 minutes sitting there clueless to when we would be attended. We weren't even given menus or offered drinks. I would not say it was busy, and many people were leaving when we walked in. I saw no excuse to why we were not attended. This is the first time something like this has happened.
