Decided to try this place for the first time and it was a big disappointment. I will say the server was very nice and took my togo order. The atmosphere of this place is very cold and unwelcoming. It was around 6pm in a Wednesday. There was one table with people and they were leaving. No one was in the restaurant and no other pickups while I waited. No music, TV in bar was off, lights in server station were off, have no idea how she could see what she was doing in there, and the kitchen was dimly lit. Ordered spring rolls, hot/sour soup, and general tso chicken. $27!! Very expensive and certainly not worth it. Sorry to say the food was not good. The hot/sour soup was very bland, I added salt which seemed to help but couldn't finish it. Spring rolls were ok. The general tso chicken was awful. The sauce was watery and also bland. The so called crispy chicken was a soggy mess. After eating about a fourth of the dish, I finally decided to just throw it out. Will not go back. Beware! read more

So I stopped here, because I was running into the dollar tree next-door and figured I would pick up some dinner. I made an order and was the only customer in there. One employee in the front, one employee in the back. No music, no television and ambience was awful. I offered help for free, as I do a lot of marketing and help small businesses. I want to see small businesses succeed in the communities in which I live and work. He declined and said that it's his brother who owns the business and that they don't want any help. I feel bad for them because the rent there is probably more than $5000 per month, plus all the food costs and things like that, which will go to waste. If you own a small business, put your heart and soul in it or get out. In the end...food was ok...but it was first impression that was the issue. read more

Dine-in. We ordered Thai basil and Lo-Mein. Both dishes were a major disappointment. They tasted like they were warmed up in the microwave. The Lo-Mein noodles were overcooked and came apart when picked up with a fork. The amount of chicken was minimal, maybe an ounce, and completely covered with the noodles. Not a single vegetable was visible. The Thai basil dish was even worse. It consisted of a rather dry, huge pile of what they called 'fried rice' that contained some sprinkles of 'minced' veggies and a tiny amount of chicken pieces covered by the rice. No fresh veggies and not a trace of fresh Thai basil. It tasted so bad I returned it after taking a couple of bites. The dish was completely lacking the rich, savory flavors of a Thai basil dish. It was tasteless and bland. The food tasted like it was cooked a month ago and warmed up in the microwave. What a disappointment! read more

I ordered the Pad Thai Chicken....it was horrible! They charge $15.95 for this terrible dish. The noodles were way over cooked, they were like mush. They add a sweet red sauce to these disgusting noodles & a few paper thin pieces of Chix and served with 2 slices of over riled limes! I visited Chopstix during the virus scare. They took great effort to limit human contact. I had to call the take-out order in on the phone while standing outside. Once the food was ready, they placed it on a table inside the restaurant for me to pick up. They did not place any utensils inside the bag. This restaurant has an extensive Asian menu, including Chinese, Japanese and Thai food. Their lunch prices are very reasonable. I ordered the beef pad see u, because it's one of my favorite Thai dishes. The food was ready for pick up in around 9 minutes. The noodles were narrower and not as soft as other Thai restaurants I have visited. The beef was a little tough and chewy. The biggest disappointment in the dish is that they forgot one key ingredient. There was no egg in the dish. Being that they have an extensive menu and reasonable prices, I may visit this restaurant again, but I would not order the pad see u. read more

I was very pleasantly surprised. Inexpensive Chinese food is it's own cuisine category and in that category, you can't ask for much more than what this place gives you. First of all a big kudos to this place for all the safety measures they took during a pandemic. Not a lot of inexpensive places have taken it seriously. Their dining room is still closed even though a lot of places are opening. Every employee was properly equipped and they had a great setup for contactless pickup of orders. The food itself was delicious. My biggest pet peeve with inexpensive Chinese is when they give you 90% vegetables and a little meat and/or meat with heavy breading. Neither was an issue here. They gave a generous portion of meat. Vegetables were cut smaller so more fit into a container as well and the sauce made the dish, being so delicious. I even had leftovers which isn't often with a big eater like me. The prices were fair, employees great, and food delicious. We will return. read more

Hi.......my name is Sean and I am addicted to your house special Lo Mein. I have come to terms with this realization because on this sacred day of July 4th when I should be looking forward to stuffing myself with a variety of BBQ meats, I am craving this particular lo mein from this restaurant (don't get me wrong, I will save room for bbq later). I swear this dish is like crack cause I order it at least once a week for takeout. Such big chunks of tender meat and perfect flavor every time. Sometimes I swear I have dreams about eating this dish and wake up with my stomach growling. My brief comment on the restaurant - reasonably priced, friendly staff, nice place for a quiet sit down meal but I always have ordered take out so I can't comment on the service. They do have a robust menu including a major sushi selection. I will keep it real on this review, my five stars is heavily influenced by the house special lo mein so I really don't care what the rest of the menu taste like - I just thank you for making one of the best lo mein dishes I have had in a while. read more

The food was absolutely terrible! they use the same sauce for all the dishes. it taste like dog food almost, but I'm not sure. I've never had pad thai and the entire dish was pink. I will never eat here again, I advise you not to as well. I stopped at this place after watching a movie right beside the restaurant. Not much was open so I decided to give this place a try. I felt bad walking in 40 minutes before closing time because everyone was sitting around on their phones talking. As soon as me and my partner walked in though, everyone jumped up and was ready to cook and serve! Our waiter was exceptionally amazing and so sweet!!! They have a pretty big menu but my partner and I went with a basic veggie meal. Upon receiving our dish, we noticed it was missing 2 key ingredients, avocado and onions. Pretty mediocre experience. The restaurant is still closed and they are only doing takeout. I timed it up to where our food should have been coming hot off the press, but it wasn't. We crave Chinese every now and then, but we probably won't be coming back here again. I get the same thing - General Tsao's chicken - from every Chinese restaurant we go to. I don't enjoy chinese food but their steak on a stick / white rice is very good. This is why I've never reviewed this place before. I feel like I can't talk about the food when I don't even like typical Chinese cuisine. The reason for my review today is this: service sucks. My co-worker called in an order almost 20 minutes ago and when I walked in to pick it up they acted confused. I called my co-worker to double check and make sure and she said it was in fact the right number and right place. As I sat in the lobby waiting for my food multiple customers came up to the desk asking for forks and napkins and service...not sure if anyone is working the tables but there are at least 5 different customers in here. We ordered the Bo Bo Platter appetizer, (2 Spring rolls, 2 fried wings, 2 crispy shrimp, 2 crab rangoon, 2 beef sticks, 2 BBQ spare ribs), an extra order of BBQ Pork Spare Ribs, Chicken Chow Mein and Pork Fried Rice. The chow mein was good, as was the Pork fried rice. The Bo Bo Platter was put in a sealed container and as a result, everything that was supposed to be crispy - the Spring Rolls, the 'crispy' shrimp, the crab rangoon, the fried wings - were mushy! I ate here out of convenience because Movie Tavern was sold out at the time and I am so glad I did! I didn't expect the interior to be so nicely decorated but I was truly impressed by the quality of service and food. Service: 5/5 | Most people can't expect much from a restaurant located next to a grocery store but our server was attentive and extremely respectful whenever he came to the table. He truly wanted to ensure that our dining experience was an enjoyable time and promptly refilled our drinks and whatever we needed in quick timing. In fact, he was so fast that I didn't notice how quickly I was drinking my coke and I ended up being caffeinated until nearly 3am (oops haha) Food: 5/5 | The hot & sour soup actually had bits of chicken in it and no wood ear fungus (not sure if I was lucky or if my bowl just happened to have no fungus). I am absolutely obsessed with hot & sour soup and it still tasted like the traditional take on H&S soup while being more flavorful from the chicken. I appreciated that my Sassy Lady roll was generously made with plenty of fish and piles of masago on top as other restaurants with non-sushi focal points tend to be more stingy with its ingredients. Of course, my meal wouldn't be complete without stealing some of my boyfriend's food! He chose to get the Beef Ho Fun and it was clearly a large portion with a pretty great proportion of beef. I like Thai food but have it rarely. I've seen this place in this strip mall that has Chinese, Japanese, and Thai food so decided to try it for lunch. When I came in at about noon on a Saturday, I was the only patron. The restaurant is comfortable, with a sushi bar on one side and tables on the other. I sat against the wall opposite the bar in a comfortable seat. Their menu is very large with all the types of Asian cuisine they offer, but the Thai food was listed in one page. I ordered a Panang curry. The price for the lunch portion was $8.50. You get soup or a mixed salad with the lunch. I opted for a hot and sour soup. The soup was fine. The curry was spicy hot, but not as flavorful as some other Thai dishes I have had. Serving portions were fine. They serve alcoholic beverages with a few beers on tap, so I got a Yuenglng draft. There was one television behind the bar that was playing some type of Chinese pop music when I came in. It was a little loud and annoying for my tastes, but later they turned the volume down. This was a decent lunch I had for the price. With the large selection they have, it's worth a try. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. We have ate at this restaurant in person four times, ordering hibachi and sushi. Each time, we spent well over $100. A month ago, we ordered delivery worth $170.00 for six people and we loved the food! We thought we had found the perfect restaurant - eat in, delivery, perfect. That is, until today. We ordered hibachi filet and shrimp with fried rice meal and extra yummy sauce, among other items. We didn't get the fried rice or the extra sauce. We called, and they agreed to deliver what they had forgotten. Twenty minutes later (40 min total), I finally sat down to enjoy my filet and shrimp. Except, it wasn't filet. It was sirloin - gritty, tough. And the extra sauce was mostly water. Drastically different from the original one we received. We called back and were told the driver world return for the refund of the meal - not the entire purchase, but what was mistaken. Well, needless to say, the driver was sent back to argue with us, not to give us the money back for our $24.00 dinner, nor to replace what was wrong. We will never be back. read more

Last few times we have ordered take out the quality of the food was not as good and the prices went up, which is fine except they hadn't changed the prices on the menu. When going for pick up the customer service has been mediocre, no greeting, employee is on the phone and when I have asked for extra soy sauce or other normal take out items, I usually get ignored. read more

Most horrible chinese food I ever ordered. My daughter and I ordered 2 orders of the sesame chicken, crab rangoon, soup and fried rice, and after tasting everything we ended up throwing everything in the trash. All the food tasted very strange, did not look or smell right, and it looked like it had been stored in a refrigerator for 3 months. The sesame chicken looked dark red and there was literally 3 tiny pieces of old brocoli in the whole dish and the brocoli also looked and tasted stale. I have never seen or tasted sesame chicken that was so bad. Seriously, don't order from this place they are horrible. We had to throw everything away because we were afraid to get sick. Chopstix is the most fresh, tastiest Chinese and Thai restaurant in the area. I don't live nearby but when I'm passing through I always stop in. They're also really, really nice people. But seriously, the food tastes like it just came from the kitchen and was freshly made just for me. Meh. My fav is moo shu pork, try it everywhere. It's like when you go to Mexican restaurants, it's the queso and margaritas that tell the tale. For me, for Chinese, that's moo shu pork. Since the closing of King Wok, we have been looking (desperately) for a good Chinese restaurant. I haven't written a review for King Wok, but if I had one thing to say about them was that they were consistently good. That is a rarity as you all know with any restaurant, let alone one serving Chinese food. Alas, King Wok is no more. We move to Magic Wok. Not a bad find. Pretty decent food; not as good as King Wok, but a strong second. We ordered a few times from there and what happens? They close their long-time-open doors! Dangit! Ok, whatevs...happens. So on to Chopstix. Reviews lukewarm, but acceptable enough to give them a try. So we did. And Quoth the raven, "Nevermore." The food, like the reviews, was lukewarm. The dim sum were pathetic. The wonton soup broth was cloudy and the wontons were mostly empty, doughy, noodles. The general tso's chicken was similar to a dish I once made as a small child with chicken bits and red Kool-aid - waaaaay to sweet and unbalanced. The twice cooked pork was served as pork strips, so skinny that I could not differentiate the onions from the pork. The fried rice was okay. I may finish that at some point, but the rest of the leftovers won't be taking up any real estate at all in my abundantly open fridge, I assure you. This place is trying to be a Japanese sushi, Habatchi, Asian, "fusion" joint, but it is more conFUSION than anything else. My gut usually tells me to stay away from places trying to do too many things. They don't ever seem to do any one thing well, rather multiple things badly.
