A Chinese restaurant nestled in the shopping plaza near Publix. When you enter this 6 table establishment you can smell the food being prepared was you rest. The woman behind the counter states back your order clearly as to not forget anything you asked for. The service is speedy when you ask about the 15 minute wait time. We promptly has our order of Chicken wings and spring rolls cooked and delivered to us immediately. Our food is piping hot and it smells delicious. The wings were perfect m, very tasty and even great cooled down. The spring rolls were light, crispy and delicious. Yes, I recommend this hidden spot. read more

My heart breaks for the residents of Hickory Flats having to accept this Chinese restaurant as the best around. It's acceptably average and designed for take-out -- e.g. all dine-in food served in take-out containers. This isn't always a bad thing, but it didn't add to the appeal of it. The lady at the counter was incredibly friendly, though. read more

The sesame chicken was so soggy and tasted like nothing. The lo mein was so bland and the crab ragoons were just crab and barely any cream cheese. Very sad for people who try this place. abismal. read more

Ordered the General Tso's Chicken combo platter and it was delicious. The lady at the front was very nice too. Will be back!

There were bugs in my broccoli. I didn't bother taking a picture, I just threw it out.

Honestly, place is good. Maybe went in on a bad day but got the subgum wonton soup (wor wonton soup) and it had nothing but veggies with the wontons. Thought it would come with chicken, pork, and shrimp like normal wor wonton soup has in it. But got the sesame chicken combo dinner and was good, lo mein was good too. Only thing wasn't too sure of was what a shrimp roll up was. Thought maybe was like shrimp fried in an egg roll wrapper or like shrimp toast but rolled, but was essentially an egg roll with shrimp in it. Still tasty though. Will give place another chance for sure. read more

Excellent Chinese food. Fresh open kitchen. They were very attentive & curious, polite.

My family & I got delivery from here last night. I can't remember the last time I had takeout & it was good... but this food was good. Like I always try to say, be realistic with your expectations, if you're wanting extremely high quality Chinese food you need to go somewhere else. That being said, I didn't have super high expectations, but I'm glad I was wrong. The delivery took maybe 25 minutes from when I called in to when we received the food. The driver was nice & so was the lady who took our order. We got the house chow mein, veggie lo mein, sesame chicken, Mongolian beef, 1 order of crab Rangoons & 2 egg rolls, along with 3 sides of rice & some condiments. Our total was $67 before tip. The portions were huge & the food was piping hot since the delivery was so quick, which was nice because we didn't have to reheat & got to enjoy the food when it was freshest. I had the noodles & sesame chicken which were good. Like I said, not the highest quality but I didn't get any weird pieces of chicken or anything gross & I ate the whole bowl I prepared. The crab rangoons were surprisingly good, I usually don't like them but I liked theirs. The rest of my family said their food was also very good & we had no complaints! read more

Good food with many options. Prepared quickly like clockwork. If this establishment offered "to go" sake it would get 5 stars.

Best tasting Chinese at the cheapest price among all Chinese restaurants within 7 square miles. I've tried to find a good go to spot for a while and finally found it in China Garden (hickory flat). I drive an extra 4 miles to come to this location. Food is delicious, flavorful and spicy when appropriate and the lady up front is the nicest person. Seems like a lot of bad reviews are from a long time ago so maybe this location switched owners. I have nothing but five star things to say about this place. An order that costs $30 here is more like $38 elsewhere and it's better tasting food too. read more

Nice people, good service. Food was very bland. Veg. rice was ok. I got sesame chicken and general tso chicken and they basically tasted the same. Didn't really care for the egg rolls either. I wouldn't go back. read more

Food was very bland. I ordered chicken fried rice with extra chicken. There was only 11 VERY small bites of chicken in the whole thing. The lady working there was not even nice. I thought the price, being under $8.00 was a good deal, until I got home and realized I basically paid that much for rice, onions and 11 toddler size bites of chicken. Very disappointing! Will NOT GO BACK!!!! read more

I know Chinese and this is some good stuff!! I travel for work and I am lucky to live near this little gem. Not too much salt like most places. The owner is a sweet little woman who has a heart of gold! They will make your meal however you want because they care. It's all in the preparation and they perform consistently well. Servings are large. Don't mistake the looks. This is not a chain restaurant. My favorite kind!! read more

China Garden - Art - Chinese Near Me - Canton, Georgia

the people are very nice and the foot is always good. portions are just right for a meal

My wife and I got Chinese from China Garden in Canton. She asked them to omit the MSG. I must say, they're actually the best Chinese food I've had in recent memory. I got Chicken Lo Mein and asked them to substitute a spicy white sauce (no problem, by the way). Their noodles taste homemade (a pleasant surprise), and the shrimp egg rolls are the fluffiest, and non-greasy, that I've ever had. When we moved here in November, we tried some other places (which were *not* so good). But we'll be making China Garden our regular weekend treat. read more

The food used to be good here. I ordered Cashew chicken, which I've had before, and it was good. I ordered last week and the only thing in there was rubbery chicken, some carrots and cashews. I could not eat it, I just threw it away. Tonight I ordered BBQ spare ribs for the first time. I asked for a small order. I did not expect what I saw when I opened the carton. When you put all the small pieces together, (see the picture) there may be 3 whole spare ribs, for which I paid $7.35. Even though they are very convenient and up the road, I will not be ordering from them again. read more

China Garden - Small order of BBQ spareribs, $7.35 - Chinese Near Me - Canton, Georgia

This was my go-to place for Boneless Spare Ribs.. today I stopped in to learn that the prices have drastically increased. The large has gone from $9 to $14. I ordered the small (now $7) and the container wasn't even full. The flavor was still there but it's no longer a great lunch option for me! read more

China Garden - Small boneless ribs.. container is 3/4 full - Chinese Near Me - Canton, Georgia

I want to do a fair assesment of the establishment. We ordered takeout the day after they were allowed to open during the Covid-19 pandemic. We waited for our food for two hours. I ordered from Door Dash, so couldn't cancel my order, but was able to get my meal for free and made sure to tip the dashers big time for having to wait two hours for our food. Completely unacceptable. With that, the food itself was bland. We stick with the classic, fried rice, rangoons, eggrolls, sesame chicken, which seem hard to mess up, but somehow they did. Perhaps they were having a bad night and they were definitely overwhelmed. Probably, wouldn't order from them again and couldn't recommend. read more

I'm not sure why this place doesn't have more reviews but it's been my go to spot for takeout for a long time now. Always has the kindest service over the phone and in person, every item on their menu has always come out great. Ultimate comfort food close to home. It's a really neat spot that definitely should be appreciated more here. Lots of love! My go to order is the Mongolian chicken with steamed dumplings and an egg roll. Can't beat it. read more

The absolute BEST chinese food in Canton. I have yet to taste a rival for China Garden in all of my years living here.

The food was fine. I've had general tsos chicken, beef and broccoli, vegetables in garlic sauce, and egg rolls...it was all fine and exactly what you'd expect to get from a take out quick order Chinese restaurant. The service was fast, efficient, and neutral. The complaints about rudeness are probably the result of people thinking that if you don't suck up and kiss their a$$ you're rude. Or they themselves are rude and get treated in kind. Sorry... you're not that important and from my early life experience in retail... sometimes the customer is wrong. read more

It is what you would expect in a strip mall in Canton. It appears that most of thier business is take out although they do have a handful of tables to dine in if you want. While we waited for our food serveral people came in for pick ups so that was a good sign for us.Our service was fine and so was our food. The shrimp fried rice ordered spicy has a nice little kick. It was also very oily in my opinion. The rest of food was fresh and hot. The prices are reasonable. I would go back. read more

Good food but even better customer service. We adore the lady at the front counter- always happy and smiling.

Got takeout from here last night. The chicken tasted like rubber and The fried rice (no veggies in it just plain rice) and noodles had no flavor at all. When I was there I also noticed the 70 health score rating and won't be back. read more

Best place out there great people great food!! Love how see always remember me and my wife order.

Love their house special soup. Quite nutritious and filling. Moo Goo Gai Pan is top notch.

BEST Chinese food around. I've been coming here at least 10 times a year for about 7 years. Right now I get every two weeks. I always get the sesame chicken with chicken fried rice and egg rolls. They are literally the best and every time I call they know it's me and already have my order down. The egg rolls are also THE BEST I've ever had in my life. 10/10 would recommend. I haven't tried much of anything else but I would recommend that order if anything read more

We ordered vegetable lo mein, chicken with mixed vegetables, and sautéed mixed vegetables with tofu. All three dishes came with the same vegetables. Broccoli onion mushroom and celery. The dish could've been greatly improved if they had different vegetable varieties like baby corn or the water chestnuts. Overall the food was very bland and not very tasty. The rice was a little bit old. I think this is because they do not have very many customers. The health score rating on the wall was a 94 today. read more

Food is disgusting here. The chicken fried rice is very bland. The rice didn't have any vegetables and the chicken was rubbery boiled chicken. The wonton soup was filled with fatty mystery meat. BEWARE! read more

Friendly efficient service! Good portions. Crispy egg rolls! We would order from here again!

We just moved here and haven't tried out many local places. The service was terrible and staff was beyond rude. Worst part: my kids who got the sesame chicken got food poisoning and have spent the entire day throwing up. DO NOT EAT HERE. read more

First time eating at this restaurant or ordering from here. Decided to do so during COVID-19 to give them business. It is pick up only and covered In shower curtains and plexiglass. Son was at Tae Kwon Do and thought I would give them a try. First thing I noticed when I went in was that no one behind the "glass" was wearing a mask or gloves. Secondly, EVERY thing we ordered was WRONG! When I ordered I wasn't asked for a name to attach to the order which led me to believe they aren't that busy. I walked in and my order was on a counter outside of the bubble they have created. Asked for extra spicy for one meal and it was not. Asked for extra sauce on another and it was not. Ordered chicken lo mein and ended up with shrimp which I am allergic. The fried rice that came with one of the meals was covered in some sort of grease. HORRIBLE experience that I will NEVER repeat. read more

Bad night for customer service tonight. Me and everyone else in the place experienced extremely long wait times. But it was Christmas and they worked very hard to try to keep up and have a good attitude. They were just overwhelmed. Hopefully the food will be ok. read more

Best simple Chinese around, I called ahead and she told me it would take 15 minutes, the food was hot and ready for me when I arrived. Even after all of the bad reviews I tried to give this place a chance since my favorite Chinese restaurant was closed... Very bad decision.
