Thai house has historically been a Thai and Chinese fusion restaurant. My family and I have been coming here since I was in diapers. This location useds to be a "fish bowl" restaurant & the OG Thai house location was on roswell rd near a laundromat. Since the pandemic I haven't been able to go till this weekend. I was honestly so excited because I missed their food so much. I am always creature of habit so my go to dish was always Pad See U. I saw so many people at the restaurant so I had high hopes. While, the food wasn't bad. I will say it is NOT AUTHENTIC. They changed the chef and I could tell immediately by the taste of the food. This was not the same person or the same flavors. Wallet it wasn't completely terrible. I don't think I would recommend this restaurant if you're looking for Thai food specifically. I wouldn't call this a Thai house or any Thai restaurant. We ordered from the Thai menu and the Chinese menu. The general tsao's chicken was the wrong color of chicken. Usually this chicken is a darker brown color and a more richer flavor. This tasted like a really bad sesame chicken. It really lacked flavor and it was more on the sour side. Another item we ordered was pad see u, which is from the Thai Menu. The noodles when it came out, wasn't the correct color which meant it lacked the correct seasoning. The noodles Itself was so salty and no other flavor, but the eggs were so sweet. This used to be my favorite dish at the restaurant along with the Tom Yum soup. It was from eating the soup. I knew the chef was not cooking Thai cuisine. While it didn't taste bad it also wasn't good. I ordered Tom Yum, but I got a soup that tasted like Gaeng Nor Mai Som. Which is a soup from Laos. Which has Tamarid in it. I could definitely taste that tamarin flavor. Well, Tom yum is a little bit sour. It's from lime juice. Tamarid just has such a distinct flavor, which I don't hate, but that's not what I ordered. Out of curiosity, we asked the server where the chef was from. The chef was from Laos. Again, I have nothing against Laos cuisine. I actually quite enjoy laos cuisine it except it wasn't what I wanted to eat. I wanted Thai food! The chef didn't have to be from Thailand. They just needed to cook proper Thai food. And obviously Chinese food because that was low-key worse than panda express. It was my fault for ordering samosas at a "Thai" restaurant, but my mom wanted samosas. I don't think I need to explain the authenticity because they don't even look like traditional Samosa, But my mom did enjoy it. The spring rolls were edible, but they weren't spring roll filling. It was more like an eggroll filling. There was just straight up, cabbage in it. Normally eggrolls, have cabbage and pork. Spring rolls have veggie and sometimes the glass noodles and carrots. This was a big bite of fried cabbage rolls in my opinion. If you're looking for a Asian restaurant with an identity crisis, this is a great place to go to! The only thing authentically Thai was the Thai tea. Would I come back here again probably not but like I said it wasn't terrible. Just It just wasn't authentic or even remotely close to the original flavor this restaurant had. read more

What's in a name...? Well if you look at the tagline under Thai House you see Thai and Chinese Food. I didn't pick up on that until I ordered my lunch entree and was asked what soup I wanted. When I said Tom Kha, the server said the choices were hot and sour, egg drop or wonton. I leaned in on the menu at that point. The food was not Thai in the traditional sense but was edible. Amongst my favorite restaurants for dinner, I'd never been here for lunch. My friend and I popped in and while good, I deduct a star. Prices are a tad high, and portions somewhat smaller than in other restaurants. They offer the standard: wonton, egg drop or hot and sour soup, with a main course. The plate comes with a spring roll -- I prefer egg rolls -- and rice. One has a choice of a Chinese or Thai entree. Plenty of vegan options, too. We both enjoyed our meals: Ellen with Mongolian beef, me with Bangkok grouper. A surprisingly large crowd at lunchtime, though I guess it's no surprise. We've eaten here a few times and it's a solid place for Thai and Chinese. It's unique as they offer a huge vegan menu with various types of mock meat. I've tried them all, and the sue-jian is definitely my favorite. It tastes excellent with the sesame chicken. I would add some spice level though, as the combination of sweet and spicy is fantastic. We ordered it medium spice, but next time I would try hot spice. The other 2 mock meats weren't the best, so I don't order those anymore. Of course, the fried tofu is also good, and the chicken is tasty too. Just a heads up, the fried rice seemed to use some type of grainy rice, so my kids didn't like that. The food was AMAZING! My husband and I have been going on little date nights once a week trying new places and I am so happy we discovered Thai house. Our waitress was Naly and she was so amazing. She checked on us several times and was always very polite and sweet. We started with the coconut soup for two. Now I love coconut soup, but their version blew other thai places out of the water! It was so aromatic and flavorful! For our main course I got Thai noodles and my husband went with lemongrass chicken. Both came with such beautiful presentations and were served family style so we could share, his also came with a side pot of rice. They were both so delicious. I wanted so badly to have dessert but we were so full! I saw they have my favorite mango sticky rice! We will definitely be back for more! This is a fantastic restaurant and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants fresh food. The menu is extensive and the service is great as well! My Go Tos include nam sod, hot & sour soup, tom yum soup, Bangkok shrimp, mango chicken, Thai basil eggplant with chicken, sesame chicken and Mongolian beef. The food was tasteless, we order a red curry which was actually pink and a Thai salad which was a salad with tomatoes, eggs, lettuce and bamboo shoots (and a peanut vinaigrette). Plenty of rice with the curry to fill you up. Tea was a teabag served in a small mug. The service was adequate at best. read more

Absolutely delicious! I was too busy catching up with a friend and enjoying my meal and trying hers that i forgot to take pictures. Next time I thoroughly enjoyed their recommendation of the Bangkok Shrimp with the mildly spicy red curry, next time I'll request a little more spicier. The sauce is succulent. My friend had the Vegan Basil and it was also super tasty. Oh i almost forgot, we shared the samosa appetizer and quenched our thirst with Singha beer. I will definitely return. Thai house is a good place to satisfy your chinese/thai food cravings. They have a small patio section and are open for dine in as well. They do tend to get busy over weekend, recommend making a reservation for big parties. We tried basil chicken stir fry, lo mein, panang curry with rofu and spring rolls. All of our food came quickly and tasted really good! Prices arent bad ($$) and decent service. Plenty of parking available. read more

This place is right around the corner from where I live, but I've never had the chance to try it. Today was my first opportunity, and I definitely enjoyed the food. I got the impression that there might be a family operating the restaurant, but I could be wrong. They are not overly friendly, but they are welcoming and hospitable. I checked out their menu online and decided to try the pad see u. All of their lunch specials come with a cup of soup. I tried the hot and sour soup. It was exactly as described - hot and sour. The pad see u was great. There were lots of soft rice noodles with egg, broccoli and mushrooms. Unlike some places that only give you one meat option, this restaurants serves beef, chicken and shrimp in their pad see u. I ordered a Thai ice coffee for my beverage. It didn't disappoint. It was sweet and refreshing. If you are looking for healthy alternatives, I noticed that the back of their menu was an entire page dedicated to vegetarian and vegan options. The lunch prices are fairly reasonable. So, I'll definitely be back. read more

I've been going to Thai House since the late 80s, from their original location to their current location. The staff has been so steady that it seems like time hasn't flown by and it feels more like your visiting friends than just going to a restaurant. They know our kids, now adults, and remember their favorites from when they were little. This is what makes Thai House special to me. The food is super consistent and always delicious. I've tried pretty much the entire menu over the years. Ok, maybe not all the vegan dishes as I do prefer meat dishes, and I definitely have my favorites but I would not shy away from anything on the menu. The current location's atmosphere is reminiscent of their original location since they brought the booths and other decor from ther, but I do kind of miss the fish tank. :) My family and I love Thai House and will continue to visit it for the foreseeable future. read more

The best Red Thai Curry (CHUCHEE) is in Roswell, GA at Thai House!!!! They have an entire VEGAN MENU!!! I kid you not, I'm going back to try all of their vegan items and I don't care how long it takes me. Their soup and springs rolls were BOMB too! I opted for the Su-Gai protein which is like a vegan meatball and y'all!!!! Whew chile! I'm a curry lover and this red curry sauce was on POINT! Could have been a bit more spicy but I have zero complaints. You can choose the texture of your vegan protein which can range from cubes, strips, meatball, or fish texture. I plan to try them all! I was staying in Roswell for the weekend and my sister recommended Thai House for some good Thai food so we called to order their lunch specials. We got: Basil chicken with fried rice and veggie spring roll, Bangkok Thai shrimp with white rice and veggie spring roll, Pad see ewe, Coke and the Thai iced coffee. The food came relatively quickly for lunchtime, and portions was huge! My boyfriend liked the basil chicken dish with fried rice and said he would 100% get it again. Didn't get a chance to snap a picture because he ate so fast! The Bangkok shrimp (I heard was a fan favorite) was decent but it was not spicy at all. It was sweet and heavily coconut tasting. I do like that the shrimp was fried and there were lots of shrimp. I'm not sure if they ask about what spice levels you want, but no one asked on the phone. It came with lots of white steamed rice and veggie spring rolls. I really wished that the dish was much spicier and wish it had at least a kick. It would have been soo perfect if it was spicy!! The pad see ewe was super good and would definitely order again! It came with chicken, shrimp and beef, broccoli and egg. It was a tad bit salty but still very good. The veggie spring rolls were okay, I wouldn't order it separate if it wasn't in the lunch combo. I do love that Thai House dishes are very big and they have lots of meat and vegetables in it! This is totally below average Thai food. Food was just slopped on a plate and the curry I ordered was watery and the chicken was rubbery. All the menu items had almost identical descriptions but were just mixed around slightly to make the menu appear big and sophisticated. Also ordered steamed dumplings and it was very evident they were frozen and just microwaved. Service was sub-par, and we had 3 different waiters/waitresses and they all seemed stand-offish and rushed. I wasn't feeling very welcomed there! Ordered a beer but when my glass was empty I was never asked if I wanted another. A check was just dropped off the no the table. I have mixed emotions about this restaurant. I was pretty excited to hear of a restaurant that offers vegan options. I am vegan; my significant other is not. So it's great to have mixed options. We went to this restaurant with intentions to each have dinner + order an extra vegan dish for me to take home as leftovers. The servers were great, the food was great, and the vegan menu options were plentiful. When we finished the meal, they quickly took the 3 dishes (2 vegan, 1 non-vegan) to the back to package FOR us before I could object. Anxiety intensifies. We get the packaged food back, and sure enough, my vegan dish has the bright red sauce from the non-vegan tangerine chicken inside........ The lady who packaged swears "no contamination" even though it's glaring at all of us. Then she says "It's just sauce it's vegan" and my boyfriend laughs "no..thats not how it works." The restaurant ended up remaking the meal to take home fresh at least but.... Moral of the story I guess is this place is great and has so many options. But I'm not sure I can trust them or their food preparation again. Maybe just a single bad server? The actual food was great. With any vegan dish, you choose the protein - Tofu, Sue-Jian (which is what most know as soy curls), Sue-Gai (a chicken-like soy product), or Sue-Yi (a fish-like soy product). I got the Vegan Hot Braised with Sue-Jian and this was my favorite of the two dishes. A little sweet, garlic-based sauce with a kick that stays with you. I also got the sesame chicken with Sue-Gai and it was just okay. The protein was underwhelming and nothing amazing. Seems like the dishes are hit or miss. read more
