I am moving up my review because this place has been really consistent and quite delicious. The service from the owners are kind and genuine. I have not had any food that I do not love. As I work through their menu I will say their pad Thai and masaman curry is fantastic. The soups are also hearty and satisfying. I definitely recommend this restaurant. The portion size is fantastic for the price. The spice level is real here. 3 or 4 will treat you right.

Drunken Noodles

Really good Thai here in Canton, and the only Thai restaurant in Canton as well. I tried the Shrimp Tempura, Thai Chicken Wings, and Drunken Noodles. The Shrimp Tempura was delicious! Perfectly breaded and fried to golden, shrimpy deliciousness! The Thai Chicken Wings were really good. The chicken was good quality and tasted nicely brined. They were cooked to perfection and I would order them again. The dipping sauce, however, was a little weird...it tasted like ketchup with a little bit of sweet, chili sauce. But I'd definitely get the wings again, I just wouldn't worry about dipping them. The Drunken Noodles were fantastic. I ordered them with pork and to a spice level of 3 out of 5. The spice level is correct. The 3 is a good medium with enough heat to make your forehead glisten...but not to cause big beads of sweat. The spice did not obliterate the taste and I could taste every delicious flavor complemented by the perfect heat. I have no doubt that if you like it SPICY, YOU WILL GET IT SPICY HERE. Also, the service from Phoung was fantastic. She was super friendly and a wonderfully hostess, server, cook. She did it all and did it with grace. Please let this restaurant get into a good groove before complaining about extended waits. She was literally the only person working the entire front and helping with the cooking and the food still came out in a relatively good time. Lastly...I hope she sees this...larb gai would be a great addition to the menu!

Why is everything sweet? I've had food from here 3 times. None of it has had much flavor, and sweet is always a prevalent flavor. I don't care for sweet except in desserts. Too bad. I would like to find good Asian food in Canton. Maybe someday.

This place gets packed!

The food is amazing. I have been here 2 weeks in a row. I love spicy food. But spisy lever 3 is a bit of a struggle for me. I love the service. They are kind gentle and funny all in one! It is very enjoyable to experience some cultural differences. I like being a fly on the wall. The restaurant is a very clean and simple but tasteful design. People were waiting on tables by the time I left. I will come again.

My husband didn't eat more than a bite of the strange pad Thai they served him, swimming in some type of tomato like sauce.

Ordered pad Thai and drunken noodles. I've never tasted pad thai like this in my life and not in a good way. It tasted like it was cooked in a can of Campbell's tomato soup concentrate, very strange. The owner refused to come to our table so we could ask for something special for our son since they don't have a kids menu we just wanted noodles with some light sauce and beef. So when the (sweet) waiter brought out 2 bowls of plain boiled noodles and boiled pork she got mad at him for messing it up, but he was doing his best and her attitude was really rude. She spent 5 min taking the order of the ladies by us but refused to come help us with our order, is it because we are white? No other obvious reason. So it was a one and done for us. I reallllly would like to see a good Thai place come to Canton bc it's my most favorite food. Won't be back for another round here.

Teriyaki dish. I will not order again. He did not care at all but to tell me that they were not in the dish. Someone needs a new job.

Food was spectacular!!! We had the green curry along with Thai fried rice. We added shrimp and also had the Thai iced tea, which was superb.

Step inside and you're greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and the kind of friendly faces that make you feel right at home. Then comes the food--fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. My husband sticks to the classics (and loves every bite), while I always look forward to whatever creative seasonal dishes Andy and Amber come up with. Fall is my favorite time because I have to get the butternut squash pasta--it's that good. It's always great to see POPS busy, even during the week. It just adds to the energy of downtown and makes you appreciate having such a gem in the community. We truly hope POPS becomes a longtime staple here in Canton--places like this deserve it. If you haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and go. You won't regret it.

It was not immediately clear to me that this place was a counter service/seat yourself establishment. Restaurant had the vibe inside that it recently shut half its seating & bar space. I was looking for something a little bit more upscale and Italian to treat myself, and I left feeling a little disappointed and like I overpaid for the experience. The food was good, but I hope they improve the dine in experience.

Excellent food. Amazing service. Quiet & quaint atmosphere…read more I'm a bit at a loss for words. The food was well-spiced, well-presented, and a delight to eat. The service was attentive and not over chatty. The ambience was cute, a bit feminine (especially at the door), but quiet, nicely lit. With a heavy mound of onions and mushrooms on top, the grits ended up feeling dry and pulled all the moisture out of the bite. The flavor itself was fine, just lacking moisture and balance. We also ordered the scallops and risotto. The risotto was the standout. Bright, fresh finish, great texture, and not overpowering. The scallops, unfortunately, were the opposite. They had a noticeably strong smell right away, which usually means they're not as fresh as they should be, especially at a $40 price point. We took them home, but every time we opened the fridge the smell hit us, so they ultimately went in the trash. Despite this particular experience, we've always enjoyed this place. Service is consistently great, drinks are solid, and we usually leave happy. Hoping this was just an off evening, because we genuinely like coming here. Adding an additional * for the great service and because we haven't had a bad experience otherwise.

A decent hibachi restaurant. The flavors were good, which helped elevate the adequate ingredient…read morequality. I started with the Shrimp Tempura appetizer with some scrawny shrimp with a weak dipping sauce but the coating was nice and it came with tempura slices of sweet potato, onion, and a broccoli floret. I had a bento box for my entree and it came with a soup and salad. The soup was tasty with nice mushroom slices. The salad had a flavorful ginger dressing, but it was very thin and watery and filled half the bowl after I'd finished it (see photo). My bento box was the steak version with upcharge to fried rice. The meat was tender and tasty and cooked with onion slices. The rice was okay, sparse on egg, peas, corn, etc. The yum-yum sauce that accompanied it was quite watery. It came with a tempura shrimp and vegetables that were also on the appetizer. The California rolls were disappointing with poor quality sushi rice that wasn't cohesive. The ingredients were flavorless, and even the wasabi was incredibly bland (how can that even happen?!?). The dab of pickled ginger was good. My waitress was attentive and ensured I got refills, up to the point that I got the bill, and she never bothered to offer a to go cup or refill. Processing the payment took a lot longer than expected, especially considering there were no patrons in the restaurant at the time. They have a combination of booth, table, bar, and hibachi table seats. The table that I sat at had it's finish marred and had a rough an unpleasant texture and needed refinishing.

Say what you want about miso, this hit the spot wonderfully. Salad: lettuce and dressing. A carrot sliver or two. Nothing awesome. Hibachi: YES! I don't eat rice, so I can't comment on that. The meat (filet and shrimp) were delicious and the steak cooked to perfection. The veggies were delicious and plenty. Price: lunch was about $50 for my wife and I, including tip. A single person drinking water could easily get a big meal for $20 to $25 (including tip). Would I go back? Yes.
