I'm giving two stars because of how convenient the location is to my house. It's in a plaza with Publix and a few other restaurants, so there's plenty of parking. I know that we're limited on good options for Chinese food in the Canton/Holly Springs area, however I still won't return to China Wok. The food was tasteless. I don't know that I've had tasteless Chinese food too many times. I've tried the General Tso's chicken twice and the chicken and broccoli once. All complete let downs. Their prices aren't too bad, but the food also taste like it's low quality. On top of that, every time I call, the lady who answers the phone, sounds like she hates her job. She typically says "hello" or "China" and nothing else. And when I picked up the food, she wasn't anymore pleasant. If the food was good, I could ignore the service since it's take out. But there's nothing good about the food. Again, I feel like people go there for convenience or just because they've never had good Chinese food. Unfortunately, I'll pass China Wok and drive further away from home, for some "decent" Chinese food. read more

I'd give it zero stars if I could. Got the absolute worst food poisoning of my life this week, severe stomach pains, up all night and vomiting 5 times a few hours after eating here. Days later and I'm still bloated. This is the second time I've had this happen. AVOID like the plague! read more

I live on the other side of Canton and stopped in for lunch with my dad since we were in the area. For the price, the lunch specials are great. The food - especially the veggies - was fresh. I appreciate that the fried rice wasn't dark brown and not too salty. Even though this is a typical Chinese takeout restaurant, don't let the appearance turn you away. I have discovered that this restaurant has a few good things and a few things that I would stay away from. I love the barbecue ribs. Today I jumped out the window and tried the lomein. The shrimps were TINY and had a very fishy smell. The cabbage was very old! Going forward, I will eat the ribs from here but that's all. read more

Fried dumplings were good- next time I would get them steamed. They probably are better fresh, but after being in a box for 20 minutes, they lost their crisp outside. Rice was average. Recently moved to GA from CT and this is the ONLY Chinese restaurant that I have found that is close to what I remember and miss so much!!

First time trying this place... very disappointing. Since it was our first time, we ordered the basics - two types of fried rice, lo mein and mei fun. All the rice was hard and starchy, tasted very old. The vegetables in the rice were hard too- almost freezer burnt tasting. I've never experienced this at any Asian place before. China Wok is one of the better Chinese takeout choices in Canton. We have ordered from them several times and the food quality has always been great and the service has always been super friendly. When we have called in order we have been quoted 15 minutes each time, but it is usually more like 20 or 25 minutes for them to get our order made; but that is because they cook to order ensuring fresh and hot food. Some of the food we have ordered has included great soups (Hot & Sour, Egg Drop, Wonton), delicious crab rangoon, and spicy & flavorful General Tso chicken. read more

This is our "go to" Chinese take out. The staff is always helpful. Since it is a family business, they often have their kids help - they are great. Portions are very generous and steaming hot. The wonton soup is overflowing with wontons in a well seasoned broth. Entres are flavorful and well prepared. I haven't had a bad item yet. read more

The food is OK. Nothing special but not bad and priced really well especially the lunch specials. The service is also ok. They aren't rude but they aren't overly hospitable either. It is conveniently located for me so I go there about once a week. I call ahead every time and I am told it will be 10 minutes. I arrive 15 minutes later and still have to wait 10 minutes which is frustrating. But, the combination of the convenience and the great prices I will keep going back. read more

First of all, food was good. The review is about the owners 2 teenage daughters that are there answering the phone. My experience was with the oldest daughter. I called them to place the order. The daughter answered very rudely. We were parked in front of the restaurant so I could see her attitude and that she was very unhappy about my call because it was an hour before they closed. When I was leaving the store, after paying, the girl was sitting in a chair, turned herself completely around and spoke to me with a scrunched up face , and was mocking me in a southern Chinese voice. That was the rudest thing that I have ever experienced. Best thing on the menu is the chicken and broccoli but we ask to add mushrooms. The veggies are perfectly cooked and the chicken is tender.

Wow! I'm the first reviews! I love this place. Probably order about twice a month. I'm pretty simple: Chicken with Mixed Vegetable or the occasional General Tso. It's always good, always consistent. The combination portions are huge and include an egg roll. Great value. I believe they are JUST starting delivery for a pretty small local area. Very Disappointed!! Today is my husbands birthday and he wanted take out Chinese food. He and our son went in and ordered, he payed and tipped $10. After 30min of waiting he asked where was our food was, they asked what we ordered and he told them so he waited another 15 minutes and asked why it was taking so long, again they asked what he ordered and he finally just said forget it and refund our money. They refunded the money but kept the tip. No apologies, nothing!! Never again!! Horrible customer service! If I could give zero stars I would. read more

Not sure how this place got a 4 star rating. Went there today and it was NOT good. We got beef and broccoli. I thought they accidentally put chewing gum in there, but to my chagrin it was the "beef" the broccoli was somewhere between a green and brown. The lo mein was A little gelatinous but overall edible. Our steamed dumplings we bland but not horrible. As with all Chinese take out we got a ton of white rice unfortunately it tasted like it was last weeks leftover rice. I would recommend getting Panda Express or you local grocery store frozen entree. But the place was clean. read more

Good quick Chinese food, we order about 1 a month and always enjoy! Always ask for all white meat when ordering the chicken, I've gotten a lot of dark meat when I have forgotten in the past. I recommend this place when you want to eat out but don't want to go far. read more

Absolutely love this little place! It's a no frills Chinese food joint that has a couple of small tables and that's it. The locals all know about this little place and everyone orders the food to go. Nothing better on a Friday night with a good movie. I have eaten here countless times and never had a bad meal. They serve it up hot, timely and plentiful...in a friendly manner. When Fall/Winter come around and you want a good hot fulfilling bowl of soup you must try the House Special Soup. Pretty good as far as take out chinese. We've only had the mongolian chicken, spicy garlic chicken and hot and sour soup. The chicken is white meat and tastes fresh. The mongolian chicken was good, not overly sweet like a lot of places and the spicy garlic chicken was pretty good too. Great hot and sour soup. Would eat there again. read more
