Been eating here since this place opened and I thought it was the best we had, but today I got what I always get, almond fried chicken and beef chow mein and extra egg rolls, a lot of food so I invited friends over to share the meal with me and the chicken was so hard none of us could even chew it...the beef wasn't much better...very embarrassed and disappointed...I won't be going back there or recommending this place anymore. We've eaten at Mr. Eggroll many times and unfortunately after our last visit, we will not be back! After spending $60+ on food for two, it was disappointing and some of our food ended up going in the garbage. Nothing was great. Wonton soup had chunks of fatty meat inside, meat was terrible in all of the dishes, and couldn't even get a yum yum sauce with our fried rice. Crab ragoons had hardly anything inside of them. The orange chicken was disgusting... chunks of overcooked batter, terrible taste, and little pieces of brown, stringy meat that didn't look anything like chicken. Very grossed out by the meat that we received in our order and will not be eating here again. Go to OEC Chinese or Dragon Garden for better quality food and better prices too. read more

This place is AWFUL!!! Went by about a week ago and got some shrimp fried rice. It was literally some brown looking rice with slivers of fried egg, no onions, and no other veggies or seasoning. The small shrimp was that...really small, petite shrimp not deveined. It lacked flavor...the rice was boarder line over cooked. Steer clear of this place if you are looking for decent Chinese food. And oh by the way, the price was almost $10 for the lunch version of the fried rice. read more

The only reason I did not give a 5 star is the actual building they are in. Food is way more than a 5. decor and age of building leaves a little bit to be desired. You cant go wrong with anything you order here. We always get it to go and......wait for it......they DELIVER in CARTERSVILLE area!!!!! Awesome service and the egrolls and mongolian beef are some of the best I have ever had....also the orange chicken and General Tsao's Chicken! Not the normal 80% breading and 20% chicken. Called for delivery because they are listed as delivery in the area--only 6 miles from my hotel--we are stranded after we were behind a semi-truck that had a tire blow out that caused damage to Our vehicle and we cannot drive to get food. WoW! We were traveling North on I-75 and wanted something NOT corporate. Mr. Eggroll was a little off the path...but well worth it! Very clean, very courteous. My son had the Mongolian beef... He loved it! The gf had the chicken curry and I had the Tofu with vegetables with the sauce on the side. The chicken curry was especially scrumptious! The Tofu/veg was so clean and the sauce... It's off the beaten path and primarily a take-out restaurant but do no let that dissuade you. I had to drive to Acworth to get Chinese food of this quality before discovering Mr. Eggroll. Family traveling back home from Tn. Hubby REALLY wanted some Chinese. Ventured out to this place. My daughter and I ate sesame chicken. Dad had the chicken lo main. Daughter and I got sick. Discovered this establishment a couple months back. It's less than a mile or so from my house. Only drawback is no delivery service, mainly due to only one person that operates the entire restaurant. As far as the food: it's MUCH better than the other Chinese restaurants. The portion sizes are excellent, food is cooked and prepared fresh. Small dining area and drinks are served from a can, but that's no big deal. I definitely recommend this place to anyone that loves Chinese food, at a decent, affordable price. read more

I agree with every one else that Mr. Egroll is excellent. I have not found any other take out Chinese in Cartersville that is as good or clean. The family that runs the place is super nice, and obviously takes a lot of pride in their restaurant. This shows not only in how consistently good they food is, (I've been 5 or 6 times now over the past year) but also in how clean the dining room is always. Everything I have had there has always been tasty, but I especially enjoy their fried rice, it is WAY better than any take out fried rice I have ever had! My family loves Mr Eggroll. We usually go at least two or thee times a month. The food is really good, cooked hot and fresh when you order. They give you plenty of food and if you order takeout the portions are still big. Most of the time my wife has enough left over for a meal the next day. We have even had special requests and they are always happy to oblige. If you like Mongolian Beef ask them to make it a combination and add chicken & shrimp. Their prices are amazing. $5.55 for a lunch combination that tastes fresh and leaves you feeling stuffed who could turn that down?! Normally I avoid Chinese because of the sluggish feeling afterwards but not Mr. Eggroll. I will not eat at any other Chinese restaurant. Their food is so fresh!
