Meh. I expected more. They messed up my order. I ordered Shrimp and Chinese Vegetables. Its funny because as soon as i walked in to get my to go order the woman told me the order was wrong. So that tells me they just didn't give a rip about what i ordered. She said my order was Shrimp and Chinese Vegetables then she said Oh No! They gave you mixed vegetables. I asked her whats the difference. She said the mixed vegetables were in a brown sauce. I was just ready to get back to the hotel so i took what they made me. The flavor was so so. Overall clean but a bit worn. Plenty of space. Full self-serve buffet. Although advertised as a Chinese Buffett I feel they had below average selection of Chinese but had ribs, chicken tender and steak. Overall was just ok. Definitely had better Chinese buffet food. I went when they first opened the location in cartersville GA people were nice but seemed scattered , rushed which was understandable for a new business. waited about 6-9 months and went back today. I understand now why they make you pay first because if they did what everyone else does and has customers pay early they wouldn't be open. the wonton soup was cold and the wonton meat was hard. (don't even know how that happens ) has very little seafood and the salad bar with just romaine lettuce some tomatos and cucumbers. nothing else. Always a good place to have a fairly quiet meal with family/friends (whenever there aren't children around). Buffet is a great price. Food is always warm & yummy! The staff is always helpful & helps keep the table clean in between people & plates. Best bang for your buck in Cartersville. Parking could be better, but it's not too bad. Nasty The whole restaurant could use a good cleaning. They ran out of fried shrimp while I was there, and never brought more. A lot of the choices on the buffet were empty. While we were there the place wasn't crowded, so to me their should be no excuses for not having the buffet full. Employees are not very friendly, they act like their mad that your there! Took the kids to visit the town square, and my daughter said "o look! lets eat their" and so we stopped at Ming Moon for lunch. Wow, terrifying to say the least. The food was overcooked, was barely kept up, and seemed to have been sitting for awhile. I actually didn't find one dish that i enjoyed, and both of my kids who will usually eat anything, were ready to go after the first plate of food. This is my daughter's favorite place to eat, hands down. The rest of the family probably isn't as in love with it as she is, but you get a darn good meal for the price, that's for sure. Just the sushi alone is the worth the price. Anywhere you go, even take-out from Kroger or Publix, an 8 pc California roll will be $5.99. For $9-10, depending on if it is lunch or dinner price, you get all you can eat. And that's not just sushi, but everything! Of course the sushi isn't fancy specialty rolls, in fact, most include cooked crab or shrimp instead of anything raw, but it is never fishy tasting and always enjoyable. The buffet includes all of the Chinese buffet usuals - fried rice, noodles, potatoes, spring and egg rolls, potstickers and sugar donuts, soup, green beans, and plenty of chicken choices. At lunch, there is little pork or beef to be found, but at dinner, there are pork ribs, steak, honey shrimp and other pricier things that account for the dollar difference in price. You get your drink included as well, and there also is a salad bar and some desserts. My daughter's favorite is the hot and sour soup - she's never had it anywhere else that is a good as Ming Moon. Some people have complained that the employees are rude, but in the dozen times we have been here, that has never been the case. They aren't overly friendly - most times other than taking the money there is little interaction at all - but we've never felt anyone was rude to us or anyone else. Sometimes you just need a visit to a good Chinese buffet. Never will you need a visit this one. The ornate fountain welcoming the patrons was covered in trash. Many of the seats were ripped. Tables were not being bused. Et cetera. The vegetables were too soggy looking to try and all the meat seemed to have extra fat added to balance out the salt. My favorite Local Chinese Buffet. Reasonably Priced. Always Delicious, Always Fresh & Always Plenty. The usual American/Chinese Menu. Lots of Meats to choose from. Sometimes they have Steak, which is very tasty. Sometimes a little on the fatty side, but still yummy. The dirty dishes are always removed from the table very quickly. Dinner for two $18, Lunch for two $15 - PLEASE REMEMBER TO TIP at your table before leaving. She may not have taken your order or delivered it like at most restaurants.... BUT in MY opinion... This Dining Room employee who is removing your dirty dishes continuously is working MUCH MORE than your average waitress in another restaurant. Based on some visits this place can be great, the sushi at times very good. The buffet is the same as most but does at times have steaks and I mean huge t bones cut up. I like the Ming moon chicken. Generally i try to avoid Chinese food if I can help it. I tend to find that Chinese served buffet style is of very low quality and this spot is no exception.
