He appeared far more interested in scrolling on his phone than doing his job. The food was just as disappointing. I've ordered Moo Goo Gai Pan at restaurants for years and have never been served a version with virtually NO vegetables. It was bland, overly salty, and mostly mushrooms with only a small amount of chicken. But the most uncomfortable part was watching his mother (also an employee) loudly berate the young man during our meal. In this tiny, otherwise empty restaurant, she repeatedly yelled at him about school, work, and sitting in his car too long while we tried to carry on a conversation over the commotion. It was painfully awkward and wildly unprofessional. Poor service, poor food, and an atmosphere that felt more like being trapped in someone else's family argument than enjoying a meal. Save yourself the disappointment and go somewhere else - anywhere else!

I was out in the Marietta area the other day and I saw HKS, and thought of the HKS in Acworth, so I went in. To my surprise, it was WAY nicer. The atmosphere was a fusion between Chinese culture and modern art. I really liked the new store! In addition to a new layout, the store also has tank for lobster and crab. I tried the crab, Hong Kong Harbour Style. It was delicious! If you're out in the Marietta area, you should DEFINITELY give this restaurant a try. I just wish I lived closer :( read more

Hong Kong Star has always had quality Chinese food, MILES ahead of fast food places like Panda Express or that "chinese food" at town center. They cater to the customer 100% of the time. When I asked for my order to be spicy, they asked how spicy; they actually have five different degrees of spicy on their scale, ranging from a mild spicy flavoring to BURNING your mouth spicy, definitely an experience worth trying. read more
