Great sushi in Milton!!! My family has come here for almost 10 years. Not sure why there are bad reviews at all, the restaurant is run by a sweet couple, both working there, and their daughter and they do a great job. The rolls are big and the fish is always fresh. This place has the absolute best avocado rolls I have ever had, which is my go to at every sushi restaurant. They're so creamy and the avocado is always perfectly ripe. My family and I love ordering from here and have been doing so for years. Their takeout service is always super fast especially for the amount of sushi we usually order. We've also eaten in a couple of times and had great service. Their wide variety of quality options means there's always something for everyone to enjoy. I used to enjoy this place on Sundays and Mondays because it's 'dollar' sushi night. (It's actually $1 for one piece of nigiri, and $3.50 for a skinny 6 piece roll). But this time we came and there was less than half the place full. We ordered a bunch of the $1 sushi deal and two small salads. We have been sitting here for over an hour and have only received our water. People who walked in 30 minutes AFTER we were seated already have food. Other tables that were here after us already have their meals. We have nothing. All we wanted was salad and sushi and this is by far the most disappointed I have ever been in this place. An hour and a half into this ordeal they found our lost ticket and put in our order. Furious. Edit: after two hours we left. When we confronted the server he got mad and told us we ordered too much and that they make small orders first. We watched five tables get their food before us. And he told us that he didn't hear us ask for salas when he responded 'yes' when I asked for them. He had an attitude when we were leaving and simply told us it was our fault we weren't served for two hours simply because of the quantity of food we ordered. 10 rolls and 5 nigiri. Mind you their discounted rolls are no thicker than a nickel around and have at Max two fillings. I will never be coming back. read more

I live locally, and have come here several times for pickup and I have never had any of the issues mentioned in the other reviews. The staff has always been kind, courteous, and prompt with my order. The food tastes great. I love sushi and hibachi, and they definitely don't disappoint. I recommend giving them a chance and not believing the over-polarized negative hype. The WORST customer service ever!! The guy never came to the table to ask if we wanted more to drink. It was like he was annoyed we were there. My daughter ordered the steak teriyaki dinner and it was terrible. The meat was chewy and was on top of a pile of sautéed onion with a few pieces of broccoli and a so called teriyaki sauce was poured on top. We asked for a sushi roll instead and when the check came, he charged me for the teriyaki meal. I asked him to please take it off but he refused and was rude. Just ate a late lunch/dinner here. Great service and delicious, large serving of chef's special sushi dinner. You definitely get your money's worth. The miso soup is excellent. Mid afternoon not busy, decided to try. The sushi roll was packed full and was excellent. Tempura shrimp was also very crisp and crunchy. So ordered when we sat down. Waited 25mins before The $3 sushi rolls arrived ( what was I expecting?) not so much a roll, they were so small they resembled the thickness of a pencil. We did not receive what we ordered. We were overcharged for things we did not receive. We were not given enough silverware and napkins to accommodate the people in out party. Our drinks were all empty. Our servers never smiled. The owner was not concerned in the least bit about our service. My check was actually thrown onto our table because we voiced our concerns about the items we were overcharged for, the order being wrong, and the food all coming out so far apart that we could not eat dinner as a family on my daughter's birthday. Being this far out in the boondocks, we're very lucky to have a sushi restaurant of such good quality. I'm not quite sure why there are bad reviews for this place... I've tried lots of sushi from coast to coast (SF, LA, NY), and Tokyo Sushi isn't far off the mark. Offers a solid selection of fresh sushi and other items. I suggest give it a try. If service is lacking, just know that the food will be much better. (We've never had bad service, but I see some other reviewers have mentioned this.) I believe in supporting local businesses, and this one certainly deserves it! read more

Pretty average for sushi. There Chicken Katsu at lunch is very good, you get a lot of food for the price. For all those who brag on how fresh some sushi places fish is you should know all sushi sold in the US is previously frozen by USDA regulations to kill parasites. read more

I am not from the area and stopped in. To put things in perspective, I have taken sushi classes and eaten sushi all over the world. I think I know what average, below average, great is. Tokyo doesn't make the grade for average. First, the place has a 4 seat sushi bar and ~14 tables. Small. But small isn't bad, except for the bar . Too small. Next, the menu. Lots of cooked items and absolutely no exotic choices . No clam, uni, toro, belly of any sort....but a pile of cream cheese bigger than all the other items in the cabinet. All specials are cooked. Speaks to the customer demand I guess. I asked for a standard thing, and was told he wouldn't do it. Fine, no $ for you. This is not the Sushi Nazi of Los Angeles valley fame. Fresh? No. Better than grocery stores, but not up to the standard. The sushi cabinet has leaves of lettuce in it...and they are all old and decaying. Maybe cooked is a good idea after all....items identified as fresh we're not great. Service was prompt and unrushed . It was fine. Maybe even friendly, which is quite nice. 5 stars goes to the epic sushi places, like Nobu. 4 stars goes to the places just below that that deliver exotic fresh fish. 3 goes to fresh standards. 2 for places that don't try to standout and don't deliver fresh choices . 1 goes for the dreadful grocery store . This place is a 2. It could be a 3 with fresher fish and a bigger bar. I am giving it a three out if kindness. Skip this unless you need a sushi fix. read more

Don't bother. The staff is rude and the service is terrible. They say the close at 9:30pm but they actually close at 9pm and if you come in after 9 you'll be told to get out and to "no come back" and it smells so fishy in there is nauseating. Came home and wrong of course... Called the store and Megan (who proudly states that she is a new hire and that her boss isn't there) asks me if I just called there to complain. SMH.
