    Chicken Hibachi

This restaurant was definitely a hidden gem! I found it right here on Yelp due to its amazing reviews. I already had an idea of what to order before I arrived. Our server was really quick and super sweet. We started with a side salad with ginger dressing ($3.95). I was impressed with the dressing and later found out they sell the dressing separately! We also ordered the Crab Rangoons which came with 5 Rangoons. They were delicious and the sauce it came with was also great!! As a main course, we tried the Chicken Hibachi ($15.95) and Rock n Roll ($13.95) sushi roll. The roll was tasty and filling! The Chicken Hibachi included mixed vegetables and fried or steamed rice. I really enjoyed it but I'd say the only area of improvement would be the quality of the chicken as it was a bit too chewy. This restaurant is very small and has some parking in the front and the back. I heard it gets quite packed at times. I'm looking forward to going back and trying more sushi rolls!

My brother told me this place was in a gas station parking lot, and I was initially skeptical, but the food turned out to be pretty good. It's very small, but the service was fast and it's clean.

Takeout here was quick and convenient. I ordered the Rock N Roll ($13.95), which consisted of deep fried salmon, avocado, cream cheese, and topped with crab meat and scallion with spicy mayo and eel sauce. The roll was delicious, very filling, and unique. When I picked up the order, the person who I assume to be the owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I'm really looking forward to being able to dine in soon!

The servers at Sushi Hut are super nice! They greet you with a big smile and continue to treat you nicely throughout your visit. There's not a ton of parking available as it is attached to another business and gas station. However, there are additional parking spaces behind the restaurant. We ordered the Cowboy Roll, Sashimi Combo, and Kids Hibachi Tofu. I liked the bulgogi that came with the Cowboy Roll. In fact, it came with enough meat that I was able to use the extras on my California Roll that came with the Sashimi Combo and it still tasted great. I like sashimi, so the combo was your pretty standard sashimi, and it came with soup and salad. The kids hibachi tofu was a decent portion. I tried a piece and it was ok, but I didn't love the flavor. Overall, I like the variety of options on the menu. The staff is very respectful and the inside was very clean, including the bathrooms. I saw that they had some lunch specials, so I may go back and give that a try.

This restaurant that my husband and I stumbled upon after the gym was sooooo amazing!!! We have eaten at so many different Japanese and Korean restaurants in and out of the country and all we have to say is GO HERE!!!! This mom n' pop restaurant is a gem in the area that'll have our support until the end of time! Once we spoke to the sweet lady who ended up being one of the owners with her husband she opened up to us very fondly and once she got to see that we were avid indulgers for Japanese and Korean cuisine she brought us some extra ginger dressing and miso soup! This place is so hospitable and welcoming that establishments as such should receive nothing but great reviews, well here's ours!! Cheers!

What's that old adage? Don't eat gas station sushi! Well, I subscribe to that theory. However, it doesn't say don't eat sushi made in a parking lot shared with a gas station!!! Admittedly, the location doesn't scream fresh fish at first glance but... it was good. The place is quite small and wasn't very busy on a Friday at 5pm. There is a glass fish case and a hot grill behind that. I ordered two rolls- shrimp tempura and a Vegas roll. Both were lovely, very well prepared and large. I couldn't finish them! It was a panic find and a great stop. The staff were very friendly and engaging.

I'm blown away and you absolutely need to go right now. They have some phenomenal food. They source very high quality ingredients and some more expensive cuts of meat, yet they still have very reasonable prices. I got a bento box and I'm a big eater. It left me very full for $12. The people in there are incredibly nice as well. I didn't know how I felt going in and getting sushi from a place connected to a gas station, but it's a completely separate restaurant and one of the cleanest and nicest restaurants I've been to. I was the only person in there at the time and before being served or having my meal prepared, everyone washed their hands. Everything was sparkling, clean and just little things and guidelines they followed told me how much they cared. I think they do a better job than most restaurants out there. In addition, the food blew me away. The California roll was excellent. The avocado was perfectly ripe and fresh. They had a very generous amount of crab meat and was very well rolled. The slices or pieces were pretty thick as well so it was generous for a bento box. They had dark meat chicken which you don't see often because it is more expensive cut than the white meat. It was cooked perfectly with an excellent balance of teriyaki sauce. In addition, the rice was perfectly cooked and the vegetables were just incredible. They were tender without being mushy. They had an excellent texture to them and the flavor had some kind of slight unami in there but just made them silky in your mouth and delicious and savory. I plan to come back very frequently because this is one of the best value launches, the most delicious lunches, and the nicest people in the cleanest restaurant that I have had in a long long time.

We visit at least 2 times per month. Nothing flashy, just GREAT food and service. We have probably eaten here 15-20 times and enjoy! Friday and Saturday around 7 is always busy, expect a wait, but it will be worth it!

The low lighting was wonderful for my sensitive eyes. The smell was clean, but not too strong. They were open late, which was wonderful for me and my friends, for we were craving ramen at around 9:30. After we were seated, the service was quick (but that could be due to the late hours.) The first server seemed a bit quiet, but like a wonderful person. Our second server was no doubt one of the sweetest people I have ever met. We had a wonderful conversation about how the small restaurants are always wonderful. She was radiating positive but gentle vibes, so I felt my nerves slip away. By her, I was informed that the owner was usually in (most likely he wasn't there then because of the hour), which only proved that this food had and will always be cooked with love. And after my friends mentioned I was writing a review, she was eager to hear it. At the time it was just notes I took, but she was so pleased and that entire night I received so much praise. I had ordered the strawberry ramune, in which I was most shocked at how it tasted like true strawberry. But the lychee...it was on a whole other level. I had never had anything lychee flavored, but I felt as if I was soaring in the sky and diving in the deepest ocean. Then for starters we had edamame and pork gyoza. The edamame was well salted, and I had found usually edamame is either too salted, or not salted enough, but this edamame stayed in the sweet middle and tasted like it was straight from the Earth itself. The gyoza is most wonderfully cooked, and it feels as if I was floating upon the clouds, looking down on the world. The flavors were subtle, but so delicious. I got the spicy noodles, (but I have forgotten the name), The noodles are creamy, and I can only describe this feeling close akin to an enchanted forest. The pork was meaty, and the fat is easy to seperate if you are not for the fatty part. But then...the broth. In an instant I am shocked, frozen in pure awe at the flavors that danced in my tongue, and that most wonderful burn of spice, no doubt, they knew how to use spices perfectly. Overall, the ramen felt like what one would call a home, warm and comforting, as the tastes embrace you with open arms. With the atmosphere and taste combined (as well as the wonderful Japanese music that played), I felt transported to my own world, one without the stress of life and worries of future. Just great food, and a smile on your face. Wonderful, absolutely wonderful. No doubt deserves praise, and it almost makes me sad how unnoticed this hidden gem is. The noodles would soak in the flavora of spice so perfectly, I found myself addicted. For a desert, we ordered strawberry and mango mochis. The wonderful server brought us multiple, because she knew what our stomachs -satisfied, but not full- craved. The Strawberry mochi was wonderful, and tastes refreshingly authentic. And it felt as if I was just a slight cloud which reflected a rainbow. And now, the mango mochi. I'm not a mango person, but this tasted like no less than a sunset, with the beauty, the feeling, the overall bliss. I leave with the most wonderful taste in my mouth, and an undeniable want for more. I must thank all of the workers who made this place so special, for this is the first time I've had proper ramen, and this was no doubt the best provider for that satisfying first bite.

It's a small restaurant but the nostalgia of the interior cannot be denied. And it turned out some of the staff are from Hawaii too so it just adds to the warm, friendly atmosphere you can expect from a place like this. As for the food, just as good and impressive. My dad and I had their chirashi or rice with different seafood varieties and my mom had one of their teishoku or combination plates. They said it's a sushi restaurant but I guarantee they have more than that at Tanaka. If you decide to try it, which I recommend you do, call and make a reservation because unfortunately you can't do it online and it's a small restaurant so it's better to call ahead of time anyway. Once you try this terrific restaurant, it's worth it!

There are so many thoughtful little details in the décor that make it feel special. Every server and staff member was genuinely kind and impressively hospitable, offering a level of service that honestly surpasses some higher-end restaurants I've been to. Now, the food. Their ginger salad might be the best I've ever had. They use romaine and green leaf lettuce instead of the typical iceberg, which gives it far more flavor and texture. The dressing was smooth and creamy--not broken, watery, or overly acidic like so many ginger dressings tend to be. The miso soup also had more depth of flavor than most versions I've tried. A bonus surprise: they have more lunch options than what's listed online, and the in-person prices are actually cheaper. So don't rely on the website--come in and look for yourself. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and sushi roll combo. They offer a generous selection of rolls to choose from, and I went with the Alaskan roll. The filling was plentiful and well-balanced. The rice on the outside was slightly thin in a few bites where the seaweed peeked through, but the overall flavor was excellent. The chicken teriyaki was outstanding--juicy, tender, perfectly seared, and full of rich teriyaki flavor. I also appreciated the unexpected cold bean sprout salad on the side, which added a nice contrast to the meal. Overall, this was a wonderful lunch at a very fair price--only $15. I'd happily return and highly recommend stopping in rather than making assumptions based on appearances or online listings.
